  • EDD/W+D: 2/5/20 - 7+5

Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Team Finding Out

Baby is the size of a(n): Headphone earbud

    Upcoming appts: Thursday! Can't wait!

How are you feeling?: Really awful. I am struggling right now with fatigue, headaches and a lot of nausea. It seems to be the worst right when I wake up and in the evenings before bed. Just trying to take things one day at a time.

Rants/Raves: I'm really excited about my first appointment on Thursday, but the first appt always makes me a little nervous. I'm just hoping everything checks out ok.  Unfortunately, my husband can't come to the appointment because he's traveling for work, so my mom will come with me.  I'm ok with that, but she also has to bring my three boys. They don't know about the pregnancy yet, so I guess the cat is about to be out of the bag because they can't keep secrets AT ALL.

    Questions: None.

GTKY: What do you love most about your SO? Ah, it's hard to pick one thing! He is so kind and generous, and he sets a terrific example for our boys. I am lucky to have him!

    Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): earbud!

    Upcoming appts: FRIDAY

How are you feeling?: Better overall, which is making me nervous. Nausea was bad end of week 5 through beginning of last week but is letting up? Still have food aversion.

Rants/Raves: Tried the acupressure wristbands - they seemed to work immediately but now I’m not sure if my nausea just waned naturally. Anyway worth a shot for $10.

Questions: Just a lot for my OB

GTKY: What do you love most about your SO? For any ennagrammers, he’s a 7 and I’m a 6 so I appreciate how his personality complements mine and he makes life so much more fun
  • EDD/W+D: 2/7/20 - 7w3d

    Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): piece of uncooked macaroni and now I want macaroni.

    Upcoming appts: July 11th

How are you feeling?: For the most part ok. Yesterday, I definitely felt pregnant. Lots of nausea and was exhausted. Today, I feel much better, (faint nausea, boobs aren't very sore) which the worry wort in me hates. lol But I just have to keep telling myself I have no negative symptoms, so calm the F down.  :p

    Rants/Raves: Nothing really.

    Questions: None

GTKY: What do you love most about your SO? Everrrythang. He is my best friend and I am so thankful to have him as mine for my life. He is the best Dad to our daughter and I can't wait to see him become a Dad to this little one.

Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out and can’t wait!

Baby is the size of a(n): blueberry

Upcoming appts: July 1st! Finally under a week away!

How are you feeling?: this is my third pregnancy and I am siiiiccckkkk! Nauseous all day, very tired, and I get the chills a lot (then get very hot once I warm up and rapidly remove layers... then get cold again). Super nose doesn’t like the way anything smells. Generally very whiny 😆

Rants/Raves: I think I ranted enough about how I’m feeling so I’ll rave. My youngest is turning three this weekend and I can’t wait to celebrate her!

    Questions: none

GTKY: What do you love most about your SO? He is my best friend! We have been together since high school and we just love to be together. He is so funny! We laugh just about every day.
  • Team: Green for now!

Baby is the size of a(n): earbud...random, but at least it’s not food-related.

Upcoming appts: Wednesday!!! I’m so excited. I really just want an u/s to confirm this is real.

How are you feeling?: my stomach is NOT my friend. I can barely brush my teeth without gagging.

Rants/Raves: work is so busy right now and I feel soooo lazy. It’s a really bad combination.

    Questions: not yet!!

GTKY: What do you love most about your SO? Sooo much. He’s really great with our daughter. He’s such a natural protector. He may not be overly gushy with his words (despite being a writer), but he always gives the best hugs when I’m down, surprises me with flowers and treats, and is there whenever my family needs a helping hand.
  • EDD/W+D: 2/3 and 8+1

Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out. Thinking girl.

Baby is the size of a(n): raspberry

Upcoming appts: had my first today! Baby is doing great.

How are you feeling?: Still sick. Nauseated allllll day.

Rants/Raves: hurt my ankle over the weekend and it hurts to walk ugh

    Questions:

GTKY: What do you love most about your SO? He is my favorite human so I love so many things but there is no denying his amazing character. He’s just such a good man and treats everyone with respect and love. We’ve been together since we were 15 (30 now) and watching him grow into this wonderful person has been such a privilege.
  • EDD/W+D: 2/7 7wks 4d

Team finding out/pink/blue/green: hoping green but I doubt we can keep it a surprise

Baby is the size of a(n): uncooked macaroni

    Upcoming appts: July 8th

How are you feeling?: Pretty awful, I’m super cranky, short on patience (my poor kids) and I just feel sick constantly, horrible gag reflex, my cold is beginning to let up so that’s a plus I guess. And the fatigue is kicking my butt!

Rants/Raves:  still trying to work up the nerve to tell family, and having a lot of mixed feelings about another twin pregnancy and everything that comes along with it.

Questions: none that I can think of

GTKY:  What do you love most about your SO?  Hmm, hard to pick just one thing. He’s always so supportive and go with the flow. He puts up with my craziness. And he’s really a great dad. We’ve also been together since high school. Seems like forever! Haha!
  • EDD/W+D: Feb 2, 8+3

    Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): Raspberry

    Upcoming appts: July 12

How are you feeling?: Nausea is letting up...is that normal? Starting to feel real fat...probably because I have been eating exclusively beige carbs for last two weeks.

Rants/Raves: Looking forward to telling people in a few weeks..I’m getting sick of finding ways to avoid drinking or finding ways to do decoy drinks 🙄

Questions: should I be concerned that my nausea is fading?

GTKY: What do you love most about your SO? His devotion to our family.
  • EDD/W+D: Feb 1/8w+5 days

Team finding out/pink/blue/green:probably green at this point. My DH doesn't care and I don't know what I want

Baby is the size of a(n):Gummy bear

Upcoming appts:July 16 for my first prenatal checkup and the NT scan on Jul 22. We can't wait to see the baby again!

How are you feeling?: right now ok. I will probably be nauseous later.

Rants/Raves: I had a couple glorious nausea free days early in the week, but they were accompanied by horrible indigestion that left me in pain. So the return of the nausea yesterday was kind of a blessing.

    Questions: none at the moment

GTKY: What do you love most about your SO? So many things. Lately, how he has uncomplainingly completely taken over cooking and cleaning despite working full-time because I have been so exhausted and sick-feeling.
  • Hi Ladies,
Maybe not the place to post... apologies for any etiquette I might be violating. **TW**

    EDD 2/3/2020
We went in for a transvaginal ultrasound the day after confirming pregnancy with my OB. He thought I was about 8wks and I was thinking between 6-8wks. SonoTech said we were measuring closer to 6wks and was struggling to locate a heartbeat. We figured it was weird that the measurements were off and baby was just smaller than expected, but not really concerned.

SO even sent a picture of us holding the sonogram print out to his mom to announce our surprise pregnancy. We had just told our 8 & 6 year old the night before. After the sono, we met with my doctor and it took us a while before we actually realized what he was telling us. Baby measuring at 6wks (at around 8wks) meant that growth had most likely stopped at 6wks.

Even though this was a surprise pregnancy, it was really hard to hear. I feel lucky to have two sweet children and that I’ve never experienced miscarriage before, but I’m feeling a little lost and sad. Saying goodbye to you Feb Mommas and hoping I’m not bringing anyone down or giving anyone bad feelings. I just hadn’t told many people, and feel the need to get these feelings off my chest. **end TW**

    Thanks for our time together,
    Meredith
  • @MeredithL I am so sorry. Hugs and prayers to you.
  • @meredithl I'm sorry to hear that. He doesn't want to do a repeat ultrasound in a couple weeks to see if there is growth or not? Maybe it's just too early?
  • @meredithl I’m so sorry to hear this. Sending big internet hugs for you and your family.
  • @lanie1000, @mandk1233, Thank you so much for your thoughts.

@clearlyclara Thank you for your words. Yes, I made an appointment to go next Friday 7/5 to be sure and to plan next steps, but my usually optimistic OB wasn’t very optimistic with us. He kept saying, I don’t want you to lose all hope, but then he said he was sorry several times and hugged us both. It wasn’t really a “Let’s wait and see what happens” type of conversation.

I guess in the back of my mind there’s like a 1% chance that this little babe will show up with a heartbeat next week, but measuring so far behind, I’m guessing it would be a long, uncertain road either way. ❤️
  • @MeredithL I am so sorry you are going through this. Thinking of you.
  • EDD/W+D: 2/7/19 and 8+2

Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Green! I'd really like it to be a surprise but DH really wants to know.

Baby is the size of a: raspberry!

Upcoming appts: long story short, I have an ultrasound on 7/3!!!!! Otherwise first OB appointment moved back to 7/16 (almost 11 weeks... Not cool)

How are you feeling?: Symptoms come and go quite a bit. However, food cravings and aversions rule my life and that sucks. Boobs sore some days, nausea some days, diarrhea or constipation (not normal anymore 😭), tiredness, and waking up at least 2 (sometimes 3) times a night!

Rants/Raves: I'll rave this time since last time I ranted... We are having an ultrasound on WEDNESDAY and I didn't think I would see our baby until I was almost 11 weeks due to how far our their schedule is and how inflexible my job is regarding time off!!! I am extremely extremely nervous for this appointment but am excited nevertheless. Also, I might be getting a new (used) car on Monday!

Questions: Is it normal for symptoms to come and go/vary daily?

GTKY: What do you love most about your SO?
He loves me... and the dogs. He works insane hours during the week (usually out of town) but when he comes home he runs our dogs, cleans the house, does the laundry, and  sneaks out of bed quietly in the morning to let me sleep longer. He's my best friend and always has been.

  • @MeredithL I just want you to know I have been through what you are experiencing with my first pregnancy. My heart aches for you and I am praying for you and your family. I hope to hear an update from you. Take care of yourself. Sending internet hugs.
  • @hannahw44 Compared to last week, I think my nauseous feelings have let up too. Maybe it's hormones adjusting?

My sister is due in August (in 6 weeks, eek!!!!!) she said she didn't start feeling nausea until about 9 or 10 weeks.
  • @foreveronyourside My symptoms have been coming and going also. Some days I really feel pregnant and then today's like today, I feel completely normal. I makes me nervous but I have had no negative symptoms so I just try to think positive. I am anxious for my first appt on the 11th to confirm all is well.
  • @foreveronyourside @bg122785 thanks - it’s calming to be in this together!
  • @hannahw44 @bg122785 I am very thankful for our group for this reason!
