@drama_llama I'm gonna try to see if my doctor can get me in sometime this week just to check for a heartbeat even. If he cant, then idk what my plan is. I have an appointment next Thursday already scheduled but I don't want to stress for that long. I'm hoping I feel some movement when I get home and finally relax- I've been going non-stop for 4 days, only stopping to sleep basically. So if there has been movement I doubt I'd notice it anyway. Google says spotting is normal, but I'm a FTM and havent had any spotting this entire pregnancy, so it's got me nervous.

  • @angieeeeee - I hope you were able to go to the ER and get some good news.  I hope you are taking it easier and definitely not lifting anything else.
  • @angieeeeee thinking of you! Try to get checked out somehow someway just to be sure especially if spotting continues. Take it as a sign to let others start doing the heavy lifting too!
  • @angieeeeee I hope your doctor can fit you in. I know with mine if I say pregnant and bleeding in the same sentence they'll fit me in the same day. I'm glad you get some time now to relax and put your feet up!
  • @angieeeeee I hope you get in to see your doctor. I'm sure they would take a look if you give them a call. I do think feeling movement is sporadic still at this point, and as you said you've been very active. Thinking of you!

  • My sporadic vomiting is back. I did this with my son all the way up until like 28 weeks. I've gone almost 4 weeks with no nausea/vomiting and out of no where threw up this morning. A positive; at least I should be in the clear for our day of traveling by plane on Friday? Last time it only happened every couple weeks 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

  • @angieeeeee I would definitely call.  I’ve had spotting several times this pregnancy already and they’ve offered an appointment for a ultrasound within a few hours.  It will give you major peace of mind and allow you to relax.  The stress of worrying sucks and isn’t worth it!  Take care of yourself, listen to your body and relax.  Hope all is well this morning.
  • @angieeeeee. Any update on the bleeding? Did you get in with your physician?
  • @angieeeeee I'm just now seeing this. I'm glad the spotting stopped and you felt some movement. You may be overdoing it. Make sure you take it easy and drink tons of water.
  • I’ve had some awful headaches and about once a week I get a horrible migraine and end up getting sick. I’ve also been super sore and tired, and no amount of sleep helps. I occasionally experience some cramps, really low just like when I used to have my period. And to make matters worse my nausea has been coming back off and on.
  • I have also been having some cramps. It freaks me out.

I’ve been having awful leg cramps....specifically my calves! Ugh! Got woken up by the most excruciating pain. I always forget how to move my foot to help ease the pain when I get a Charlie horse.

My friend who is a professional runner had told me a few years back to eat a banana everyday for the magnesium and sure enough they stopped. I haven’t had one in days so I guess I’ll drink some water and eat a banana 🤷🏻‍♀️
  • @mc0303 I have gotten those during other pregnancies. They are very painful. I woke up in tears one night and my husband had to flex my foot for me to relieve the pain.

@emeraldcity1214 I hope you don’t get them again this time! I was being pretty loud when I woke up but MH slept right through it. 😒
  • I've also been getting calf cramps, usually if I try to stretch wrong in bed. I remember these from last pregnancy, just not this early on. They are awful!

  • Its reassuring to hear others are having period like cramps! I've been getting them here and there for the last week or so and it was super concerning in the beginning. But it seemed to coincide with when I felt a fair amount of movement from baby sometimes. So I try not to worry and just put my feet up and drink water just to be safe.

  • Crampy as well, tired, and a lot of kicks to my cervix.. not that fun. I just am not sleeping through the night at all. I got a body pillow and it seems to help a little, but not that much. I was still up for several hours last night.

@creamcheeseplease I’ve started to get a lot of lower kicks too...near my cervix and others feel aimed right at my bladder 😣 I can’t seem to get comfy at night and when i do...I have to pee immediately. Awesome stuff!
  • Yes definitely feeling the deep cramps when baby is low and moving around!! Even when explaining it to my husband I'm weary of using the word "cramps" because of how many people say cramps are a bad sign but come on! Our organs are being moved!! 🤣
  • I’ve had leg cramps too, I also had them last time.  The only relief I can find is stretching and trying to ignore it.

I finally felt baby move from the outside this morning!  She’s been making big movements all weekend and I was surprised I couldn’t feel anything, but I’m so excited now that my husband and son will get to feel her too.  It is my favorite part of pregnancy for sure!

I’m less nauseous too, thank goodness.  17 weeks has been the magic week both pregnancies, so hoping I keep feeling this way.

Im still having the pelvic pain, whenever I walk up the stairs or put weight on one leg.  I have an appointment at 2:45 with my midwife, so hoping to gain some insight as to what I can do to relieve it.  I’ve skipped walks the past week due to the pain, but I really don’t want to make a habit of not working out.
  • @rogro118 - I hope you get some relief soon.  I know I had issues with my sciatic nerve my first pregnancy.  But it was only 3-4 days before the baby moved and I was free of the issues.

Has anyone else reached the point of not being able to put socks on without sitting down or holding on to furniture?  My balance and reach ability to my feet is gone haha
  • mc0303mc0303 member
@rogro118 what kind of pelvic pain are you having? I'm having the most awful pain on the bone where my lower back meets my butt and it hurts to turn to one side or put weight on that leg. I've read about sciatica pain...but mine seems to be more localized rather than down backside like all the images show.

@dancer688 My balance is so bad! I definitely feel you. Separately, I also find it so hard to get up if I'm lying down. I feel like a turtle on its back.
  • @Dancer688 that's why I'm so glad it's flip flop season! 😂
  • Holy acne, Batman!  My chin broke out hardcore over the weekend.  And, I swear I felt the baby kick me in the side towards the back. Makes me think I have another anterior placenta pregnancy.
  • I can relate to the acne 😩 I have acne prone skin anyway but it's been relentless. I finally semi/sorta have it under control (don't want to jinx it) by doing an Indian healing clay mask every other day. The sweating and hormones are wreaking havoc.
  • @mc0303 it’s the top of my butt and all through my crotch area.  It feels like it’s more the bone than muscle or nerve.  I’ve had my fair share of sciatic pain since playing field hockey in high school, but this is new territory.  It hurts to walk, not quite sure how to describe it other than a constant ache with occasional shooting pain all over, similar to the feeling after sitting on a bike for too long.  I did not have this with my first pregnancy, and definitely didn’t feel this uncomfortable walking until past 35 weeks.  I’m hoping it is just things settling!  My midwife just said she had it with her second, not her third, and it got better around 18 weeks, then as often happens, comes back at the end since there’s more weight on the pelvis.  It’s SPD if you look it up, maybe your symptoms are the same!

@perfectoops yes to the acne 😭. Not only am I waddling, I look like a pubescent teen with all these red bumps on my face.  I’ve had some luck using a rose water toner this past week, but who knows!
  • It's so strange but today my lunch which is leftover chicken is making me feel sort of nauseous when I smell it... I love chicken and haven't had an aversion to it all pregnancy :(
  • @creamcheeseplease I have had lots of variability in my aversions this pregnancy.  Chicken has been a big one for me though, haven't been able to stand chicken or eggs for 2 months!
  • mc0303mc0303 member
@drama_llama same here!! I haven’t been able to tolerate chicken or eggs this whole time. Really limits food options 😖
  • @drama_llama I've had luck with pre-cooked chicken.  If I have to prepare the chicken - forget about it!  Scrambled eggs gross me out right now, but I can handle eggs over easy on an english muffin.  I think have the carbs with it helps.
