Sagittarius. I have no idea what the traits are supposed to be. I do like to be super prepared for stuff and my SIL, who is also a Sagittarius, says she is the same way and it’s a Sagittarius thing. So yeah. That’s the end of the story.

So, I'm supposed to be an Aquarius. However my college astronomy professor told my class that there were actually 13 constellations and one was randomly dropped to make the zodiac calendar work better... Not sure it that's true, but with the full calendar he gave us, I learned I was "really" a capricorn. Which fits my personality 100%. I have zero Aquarius characteristics. 🤷‍♀️

I'm technically a Scorpio but I'm kind of on the cusp and I "identify" as a libra, lol. Is that allowed?!

I'm definitely much more Libra in personality (non-confrontational, nature-loving, etc).

Oooh fun. I'm a Pisces and have always identified with how they're described - sensitive, emotional, intuitive, loving, kind of dreamy/head in the clouds.

According to a birth chart I found my moon sign is Cancer and ascendant is Taurus...the description is super long and includes all this other stuff but if anyone knows of a simpler sun-moon-ascendant reading site I would love to read!

And in the Chinese zodiac I'm a Rat which I know less about...

ALSO there's a funny line of greeting cards with irreverent descriptions of each sign and mine had "empathetic, kind, imaginative....emotional basketcase." Umm yep.

@mvt2003 I think some people stay the same. My birthday is in early February, so I'm right on the cusp. I was actually relieved because I thought I was a defective Aquarius. Nope, just a solid Capricorn 😆

lol that every article says disciplined/ self control. Yes when I swam, but I’m so undisciplined in post-collegiate life (exercise and diet)

also one if the articles i just read said that Capricorns are attracted to men that are responsible, calm, and hard working and if that doesn’t describe DH to a T, I don’t know what does! Crazy.

Not a big proponent of the zodiac stuff, but it can be pretty fun to play around with!

I'm an Aries sun (Pisces cusper). Cancer ascendant. Scorpion moon. Chinese zodiac: Rooster/cock. Married to a Leo!

I'm definitely not your typical Aries (probably take on more Pisces traits to be honest). I'm not a go-getter or dominating personality. I'm the opposite of competitive. I can be impatient and quick-tempered though. I'm more the curious, creative type. I'm often distracted and easily get spaced out. I love to read and learn and explore the world around me.

I can, however, definitely see the Scorpio moon traits popping out all the time. I can be pretty emotional, intense, and stuck in my own head sometimes. I also have a very difficult time allowing people into my inner world.

Cancer rising is pretty dead on as well. I'm insecure with myself and very shy. I really dislike unfamiliarity, and I distance myself from social situations.

@ruby696 mine would change to be Taurus, which I guess the stubbornness would apply (just ask MH!) but overall I act more like a Gemini lol.

Ohh I love this! As a pagan who does tarot and follows astrology, this is right up my alley!

Here's my natal chart:

The ones I really pay attention to are my sun sign (Virgo), ascendant (Libra), and moon (Aquarius).

I am a true Virgo, through and through, for better or worse. I am organized, exacting, hardworking, introverted in social situations but extroverted when around someone/people I know well, diligent, nitpicky, and can be pretty critical of self and others. I get my stubbornness from Libra, but also my ability to play devil's advocate (fairness - it helps with my internship as a clinical mental health counselor). It's funny that I have an air sign and a fire sign that are big influences on my earthy sun sign.

All my life, I have hated Aries people. I have not gotten along with a single Aries that I have crossed paths with...until I met my husband. When we were dating, I asked him his birth stats, only to find out he has a Capricorn rising sign and an Aquarius moon (like me). Major ah-ha! moment for me there. I could tell that, although he's a true Aries (fiery, hot-headed, loud), he is also very hardworking, mutable at times, and diplomatic. So, although we may disagree on things from time-to-time, or I am quiet while he is emoting LOUDLY, our strengths play well with each other.

@whitealbum29 I'm a Rat on the Chinese zodiac too! Basically, your moon sign is how you see yourself and your ascendent is how you are perceived by others, and they all add up together to make up your identity. I relate a lot to my moon and rising signs. What site did you use? I like Astro.com--you have to know where and what time you were born and you plug it all in and it makes your chart for ya. Also, the Co-Star app probably has an even simpler version.

@b_1029 Haha, aw that's cute that YH fits yr perfect man description! Also, YAY Capricorns. They're my faves. Well, after Aries. And then I love the remaining fire signs...

@shoogapoff My friend who is an astrologist doesn't believe in the 13 sign thing--but she also doesn't believe in cusps?

@silly_goose My favorite Sags are all wanderers in some way or another and really own that trait.

@jennifer_louise Do you know for sure you're a Scorpio--like have you looked up the exact time you were born? You might very well have your moon in Libra or some other important aspect that makes Libra-ness prominent in your live. In the end, if you are a Scorpio by definition, I feel like Scorpios either embrace their Scorpio-ness or entirely reject it, and in the end, they're Scorpios. Also, this is a thing I made once and was very proud of but no one ever gets lol:

So I am all those things (positive, versatile, lively!) haha-- to a fault!... though as I've gotten older my adventurousness has faded, and the Capricorn in me (organized! efficient! realistic!) comes out a lot more often. I am so obviously an Aries to most ppl, though.

Chinese Zodiac, I'm a rat, and my major takeaway from that is that the rats won the race by cheating--they were #1! Aries is the first sign, the "me" sign, too, so I'm double first.

Now those Aries traits are a better descriptor for me (in some regards). If I can find a comfortable space (usually at home, with hubby) I am definitely those things! They just aren't traits that everyone gets to see!

@ttcbabyodo That's so funny about YH. MH is an Aries too, & I knew even before he told me. He was the most Aries person I ever met--and that makes sense bc his moon is also in Aries. I'm a similar Aries to YH! Capricorn Moon & Aries Sun! I wonder if there's a sign I tend not to get along with... I've never noticed if there is? Anyway, I also love tarot and follow astrology! I pay attention to the signs my planets are in when horoscopes tell me to or when the moon is full/new in a certain sign. My Mars is in Scorpio, for example, so whenever Mars is in Scorpio I try to pay attention to my anger/passion.

@flowntheloop Aries unite! You have so many things in Aries in your chart--how interesting! But it makes sense to me that you are more tempered than a typical Aries bc of your Moon & Rising are Water and Earth signs. I am more grounded than a typical Aries bc my Moon & Rising are both Earth signs.

I think one of the things that's interesting to me about the Zodiac is that every sign is in your chart SOMEWHERE, so it makes sense you relate in certain ways to other signs--they are a part of you in some way or another!

@kagesstarshroom I also follow the stages of the moon, and can always tell when it is affecting me. I'm more positive and upbeat, productive, and clearer-headed when the moon is waxing than waning. Oh, and for those of you that follow this stuff: Mercury goes into retrograde on July 7th (the day before we fly home from BIL's wedding, ugh). It's a long retrograde, too: it ends on August 2nd. So, plan accordingly. Communication will be a struggle. Leave early for appointments/travel plans. Pack an extra umbrella in your car. Don't wear a lot of white, especially if you're clumsy.

Pisces and it fits me perfectly!

Positives: Idealistic, Accepting, Nurturing, Compassionate, Romantic, Spiritual, Intuitive, feels deeply, and adaptable.

Negatives: easily sad, hard time saying no, moody, unpredictable, indecisive, and can be flighty.

My my husband who is a Libra often tells me I’m not balanced enough and live in my own little fantasy bubble. I like being there though!

I'm a Gemini, but I don't really do horoscopes or astrology. When I look at the traits, there are some I identify with, but more that I don't. Interestingly, I was supposed to be a Taurus (I was 23 days overdue

) and I identify more with those traits. MH is also a Gemini and we couldn't be more different from each other.

I am a Capricorn, very loyal and I worry about everything all the time. I can also hold a grudge. I was born right on the cusp of Sagittarius and Capricorn, so I do have some of those qualities, like humor. My DH is a Libra through and through.

In the Chinese zodiac I am a rooster. Definitely impatient and I don't like to rely on others. I am *usually* on time and if I am running late I get SO stressed out!

In the Harry Potter-verse I am a total Hufflepuff. I feel like a fraud when I wear my Gryffindor socks! 🤣

I’m a Cancer. (ETA: birthday is today, so the new chart shows me as Gemini, which is weird) No idea what that means trait wise, but I do have a necklace/bracelet set somewhere with little gold crabs on them. My grandpa was into astrology.

@ttcbabyodo I have Mercury retrograde in my planner already--I try, though, to focus on the positive aspects of something like that, though. I've been obsesssed with the moon lately--I was keeping a tab open to what stage it was in on my laptop for awhile (but then I had no internet, so it's not been open for a week or so now--but I have an app on my phone that I check when I feel like I want to know.) I never really thought of the waxing/waning thing though, but I will pay more attention to that now!

@stassischroeder @chichiphin Astro.com is the best site for it imo--or the one I've always used at least! you have to know what time and the city you were born for it to be right. I like that site specifically for the charts being super.... comprehensive lol but ALSO the thing called the "Personal Portrait" which is...typically wildly accurate in at least a few ways when people run their birth time thru there.

@mercury94 HBD! You're a Cancer, don't worry, your grampa was right-- I refuse to believe in the new 13 sign Zodiac lol. I'm sticking with the old truths. I mean, we could carve our probably a ton of different constellations in the sky, you know? I think the symbolism and tradition of the original one is what gives it power.

@jennifer_louise Yep! 23 Days, and I was *still* a C-section. Apparently they let it go that long because her OB was on vacation, but I feel like there's no way that would happen today. My aunt once told my mom I was the only one of her 3 kids who didn't look like ET when I was born. She got super pissed, but I thought it was hilarious!

It was probably true, because I was basically a month old and didn't get squished through the birth canal like they did (they were both VBAC).
