Thanks everyone! Baby was perfect, measuring 8 weeks with a heart rate of 178. To say I’m relieved is an understatement. I’m kind of in shock and can’t stop crying.

2. Previous loss(es)? Miscarriage at 6/7 weeks in January 18. Had D&C in Mar 18 and again in May 18 (didnt get it all the first time).
3. How are you feeling? Emotionally and physically? Physically I feel pretty good. Emotionally I am ok I guess. I was nervous because of the miscarriage, and still a bit nervous. We had been trying to get prpregnat since September. And the first time I got pregnant with my twins it happened the same month we started trying , and the same with when we got pregnant and had the miscarriage so it seemed odd that it was taking a while to get pregnant. So no I'm just trying to stay positive.
4. Any appointment updates? Just had my first appointment and ultrasound. They said baby looks good and heartbeat was good. However they found a 2cm internal bleed. Not entirely sure what it means, but makes me even more nervous now. So they gave me a progesterone shot and told me to come next week for another shot then the next week an ultrasound to check on it again.

3. How are you feeling? Emotionally and physically? Well I am just so ready for my Dr. appointment on Monday!! My last appointment at 7 weeks 5 days went great and baby had a strong heartbeat of 158!! Couldn’t stop crying I was so happy!! So that appointment really helped alleviate my worries for a while. Week 8 was the worst for me symptom wise so I knew everything was still trucking along so I was feeling great!!! But at week 9 my symptoms aren’t as strong so now the anxiety is building back up. I need to see my baby’s heartbeat ASAP! I wish I could get a sonogram everyday lol

5. Rants/Raves/Questions? My husband is gone for military training for the next 3 weeks so I am spending my last few weeks in my first trimester solo!! @twinmommy13 I'm a FTM and it hasn't happened in any of my pregnancies or people that I know of. I would say trust your doctor and fx everything is ok!

3. How are you feeling? Emotionally and physically? This pregnancy was a huge surprise and is pretty much a miracle as I went through 8 rounds of IVF and have 1 living child. We were told naturally conceiving was almost impossible but here we are. I’m trying to stay positive and cherish each day I am pregnant since I never thought I would get to experience this again but some days I totally lose my shit and convince myself the baby has died. It’s going to be a long road.
4. Any appointment updates? I saw MFM yesterday for my first visit and realized I have PTSD from the last time, as it was a routine appointment where we discovered my son had passed. I couldn’t look at the screen until my husband said he saw the heartbeat again and I started sobbing. I hope it gets easier. I’m reassured for now and see my OB tomorrow and am supposed to have another scan. 5. Rants/Raves/Questions?

@twinmommy0816 did the dr call it a sub chorionic hemorrhage or sch? They are fairly common. Most resolve on their own and are usually nothing to worry about. I have seen that it’s possible you could spot or bleed with the sch and the baby still be fine. I would just take it easy and call your dr for clarification or any questions you have.
@kbrown2385 he didnt call it that but he did say that in 2 weeks when they do another ultrasound he'd know a little more and that it may just be asymmetrical I think is what he said. And thank you....reading crim others that they know of them and that all was ok makes me feel better.
@twinmommy0816 I had an sch in my last pregnancy, but it was my 3rd miscarriage. The baby had Trisomy 22, so the sch wasn’t the cause. All I can say is the doctor told me the bleed would probably resolve on it’s own and I’d either absorb the blood or have some spotting.
@hannahturm28 in my daughter’s pregnancy, nausea started slowly improving for me after 8-9 weeks. The placenta starts working at 8 weeks and takes over by 12 weeks. Nausea decreases as it takes over.
@DalexRN I have ptsd, too. Getting u/s’s or seeing them on tv or Facebook all mess me up. I was shaking for a while after my u/s on Wednesday even though it went well. And I started crying before the tech even began.

@twinmommy0816, I had a SCH with my son and spotted from week 6 to week 8. I was told it was minor and nothing to worry about. Then, one random day during week 8, it just suddenly stopped. Everything ended up being fine.
@twinmommy0816 - It looks like you got pregnant the month of your last D&C. Sounds pretty fast to me! I've never had a bleed, but I've heard of a lot of others who have and those seem to resolve themselves in a few weeks. Good luck!
@marebear15 my last D&C was may 2018 and we started trying agaiagain in sep 2018and dididdididndididdididnt get pregnant until April 2019. And thank you all for the encouragement, just knowing others have had this or know someone that has and had healthy pregnancies helps put me at ease.
5 days till my ultrasound and I’m getting super nervous. It just came to me that having symptoms means nothing when last MC I had strong symptoms up to two weeks after it all ended. Ughhh
I have my first midwife intake the day before the ultrasound I’ll be 12 weeks. Would they consider using a doppler or is that too early ?
@twinmommy0816 - I'm so sorry, I forgot what year it was currently. TTC is such a mental load especially for that long, and I can understand bringing that mentality into a pregnancy is rough. Just remember that you are pregnant today.

First OB today, and my partner forgot and made other plans. I guess I'm going to face the big bad ultrasound machine alone. I am not looking forward to it.

My partner came with me. It was a lot easier with him there. I'm 8w1d, measuring 8w1d and baby has a heart rate of 187! I know anything can happen in the next 32w, but the ultrasound was a huge milestone!
Edit: I also told the nurse how scared I was of the ultrasound machine because that's when things went sour last time. She was wonderful, not saying anything positive or negative, just keeping it very matter of fact until, "Yeah! There it is! Wanna hear the... Hey, baby keep your head down... Heartbeat? Head DOWN! Doesn't want to be measured..."

Before I comment or jump in I wanted to ask if everyone would be ok if I joined? I lost two pregnancies before I got pregnant with my second. This is my third pregnancy and I still examine the toilet paper for blood every time I go. I suppose the anxiety of the past still follows me around daily even though I've had a successful pregnancy since those loses.
@mispanda I am the exact same way. I even bring a flashlight in during the night so I can check in the dark. It’s hard to not freak out after suffering losses. Know you aren’t alone 😘
