Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Monday 6.17

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. • @MrsVP614 Good morning! And, oh man! This Monday is killing me too! My morning tea is just not cutting it right now!

I'm glad your birthday weekend was awesome! What did you do for the occasion?

• @bows22 & @millpe Sorry you’re both feeling so tired this morning! Hopefully we will have some fun stuff happening on this board today to keep you alert, Hang in there!

@millpe ugh sorry for the long drive today! Do you have to do 3 hours and back today?!

@MrsVP614 oh my gosh your Monday gif is perfect too!

@keikilove oh wow I hope you can go to sleep soon!
• millpemillpe member
@bows22 yep! 3hrs there this morning, work for probably 4 hours and then 3 hrs back... so I will probably be pretty absent until this evening.

• @keikilove I just saw that you will be taking prednisone post-ovulation? :o This is the first I have heard of this method. Your doctor recommended/prescribed this along with progesterone? Sorry for the questions! Just curious!

• @keikilove Thanks for the explanation. *hugs* I hope your current medications will bring you success (and quickly!). Take it easy on yourself with those autoimmune issues!

Are you getting any nasty side effects from them? I have a hypersensitivity to prednisone, so I will only take it if I'm pretty much dying. TW*
I have a history of depression and anxiety, and prednisone throws me into depressive spirals with strong suicidal ideations (lasting up to two weeks after taking it). It is just awful for me!
TW

• @flowntheloop crossing everything for you this cycle, too! It's amazing how well you get to know your body when TTC.
@varimama I sometimes get a tiny bit of EWCM, then nothing, then a lot right before O. Enjoy your day trip today!  Where are you going?
@keikilove hooray for balance! That's so important, I'm glad you're doing what you need to do in order to keep the stress low and take care of yourself.
@bows22 I am so sorry you're back here. :(  Hugs.
@millpe 6 hours total in the car today?  Ooof.  I hope it's not a stressful drive!
@MrsVP614 I'm so glad you had an excellent birthday weekend! I had a weird time with OPKs this cycle too.  The one I took Saturday evening was practically blank, then Sunday morning it was blazing positive. Crazy ovaries.
• @keikilove Thanks for the tip on bumping on mobile. I will see if the browser works better.
@bows22 Sorry to see you back here.
@emeraldduchess Yay for O day!

@MrsVP614 @flowntheloop  Loving the Monday morning gifs! Exactly how I'm feeling too.

WAYDTGKU: PNV. HIO. Last week I switched over to the FF app and started to chart BBT and CM. (Not using bbt and cm as predictors for this cycle since I just started tracking them. Just getting used to using these methods and establishing the habit of tracking them). Also started using OPKs last week and...

got my first pos opk today. Exciting for a newbie!

R/R: I have social commitments almost every night this week (2 team sports nights, a fundraiser event, two dinners w/ friends, a family outing). I am an extrovert, but it is going to be a draining week. For rave see my spoiler above!

*lurk* @varimama I've had several cycles where I get EWCM early on, it goes back to creamy, then EWCM before O. No idea - bodies are weird
• edited June 2019
@MrsVP614 I had a big drop this morning too! FX for O soon.
@stassischroeder have you been keeping up with OPKs after the positive? 9 is early, but sounds like not entirely out of the question for you!
@EmilyLove25 Me too. I seriously went through my post history wondering if I'd stirred any sh*t that I couldn't remember. ETA not that I'm a mean girl in the slightest, but I'm always super worried that I'm unintentionally making people mad or something.
@emeraldduchess that meme had me LOLing

Month/Cycle: 2/2

CD: 14

WAYDTGKU: PNV, OPK, HIO, metformin tracking all the things, green tea, being generally healthy with diet/exercise

R/R: I had a darker OPK today, so if I O within the next week it will be the earliest I've ovulated... ever! I'm excited that the metformin might actually be doing its job. Had a big big temp dip this morning, so hoping soon. Will HIO tonight just in case.

CS/Q: All good today!

• @EmilyLove25 I included my months PG before my MC in my counts... 🤷🏼‍♀️ I mean, we were technically TTGP, so I think that counts. And thanks for the offer. I may overload your inbox! Lol. I’m starting 2x a day now because I know I’m close to when I normally O, so I’m going to do a Clearblue with my afternoon wondfo. At Walmart they have OPK, HPT, and condoms all locked up now. I was like um I don’t like having to ask someone to get me my baby making box... lol 🤦🏼‍♀️

@ttcbabyodo never too tired to BD on O day!!! Muster up that energy! Lol

@kagesstarshroom I have a gut feeling I’ll be moving to TWW in the next few days, but had no idea that related to the moon. Lol. GL with your dissertation. I feel you on the financial front... we have been trying to pay off some debt (my car, his car, student loans) and we keep having big things hit us (hello, MC medical bills... ugh!) so we have really buckled down.
• @ejoseph16 It's definitely pseudo-science and not science-science bc the moon affects everyone differently, but I feel like it would be super... androcentric of us to think we're not affected by the moon when the oceans are, and they are HUGE? The average cycle & the average moon cycle = about the same length. Coincidence? I think not. I think it's just that there's not ONE effect of the moon on humans that makes it all sort of folktale-ish and not science. Some people ovulate, some people turn into werewolves, ya know?

@WorkingOnMyNightCheese Another possible early O...... due to the full moon? #CantStopWontStop
• @kagesstarshroom you just made my day! I love that thought process! Hoping that they coincide for me. I could appreciate that. Our timing has been A+ so far!

I'm definitely a werewolf IRL.

But seriously, I totally believe in the moon having and effect in weird ways!
• Wow what a busy place today!

Month/Cycle: 10/10

WAYDTGKU: Acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Ava, OPK

R/R: Today we are having friends over for dinner. We had a disagreement last night that I will put in a spoiler for *TW pregnancy mentioned
Another pg announcement yesterday on FB and DH asked why I always get so disgruntled over these. I asked him if it ever bothers him to see so many around us getting ku (and some of them on first try) and he said no he’s happy for them. I explained that just because I get upset doesn’t mean I’m not happy for them, but I’m also sad it hasn’t happened for us. Then he said he guesses it doesn’t affect him as much because he’s more happy-go-lucky. I just wanted a bit of support from him and instead he made me feel like I’m crazy and selfish.

CS/Q: Anyone want to take a guess at when I O’d? Looks like yesterday based on temp rise but that’s 3 days after my positive OPK and fertile CM. Maybe a delayed rise?

@misshelen86 we have had the same exact conversation with our H's!! He makes me feel like I'm irrational but I know it's a normal reaction. It's not that we're unhappy for them, more like sad for us.
*TW*

One time we hung out with my BFF and her H pretty early on in her pregnancy and she raised her arms to do her hair or something and I could see a tiny bump. I could not stop fixating on it all night to my H (I had also been drinking haha) and he was essentially like omg, why can't you be happy for them?! I told him I am but it's hard to see, especially when she's actually showing. I've just always had an issue with her in that regard since they started TTC like 10 months after us and they already have a newborn baby.
• Ahhh....too late to the party to keep up today!!!
