There is a girl at work that is really getting on my last nerve. She's the type that will ask me what she needs to do for stuff she should know by now (she's been here for a year). She's also a pathological liar so I already have zero time for her. This morning I was telling someone else something work related... let's just say I said "The sky is blue" and she interrupted "Is the sky blue?". I just walked away lol.

My friend of 17 years called me about a baby name. If she has a daughter, she wants to name her Norma Penelope which would be fine cause name your kid what you want BUT DD3s name is Nora Penelope... soooo??? Maybe if we didn’t talk everyday but no. Maybe I’m hormonal but I just think it’s stupid to even consider that as an option.

@kmj1426 Did you laugh at her and ask her if that name rang any bells? I mean, she can obviously do whatever she wants and a Nora and Norma won't notice too much that they have the same middle names, but it's clearly a copy cat. If she loves it that much just tell her make sure to credit you on the birth certificate and you're all good

TW today is meetings. Um hi I'm busy trying not to vomit (nausea is ramping up as of last night). Could we not have back to back to back meetings today?! Had to run away and lose breakfast after my morning meeting. Not looking forward to 3 post-lunch meetings in a row! Who is scheduling this crap? Who do I need to tell I'm pregnant and puking to get out of the embarrassing situation of having to run out of meetings to barf?

@kmj1426 Talk about lack of originality! I would never name my child something remotely close to another family member or friend’s kid’s name, especially if I planned on seeing them often.

Every morning we have an operations brief that we give to the big bosses. Normally one of my coworkers gives it, but there are a couple of us (including me) who can fill in if she's sick or on leave. This particular coworker is very young, thinks her job is beneath her, and normally tries to do as little as possible, but we are generally on good terms with each other. Thursday's brief (today's) is going to be more involved because some stuff happened. Since it's easier to gather the extra data from my office and I know she's busy, yesterday I put it all together (slides and notes) and sent it to her. I thought I was doing her a favor. Instead, she used it as an excuse in front of one of the bosses, "Well Noxacanthus already put this all together and she knows it so well, she should do the brief!" And the boss fell for it hook, line, and sinker, "Oh yeah, she's a great briefer, you're right! Noxacanthus, do the brief." It's not the brief itself that bothers me (because she's right, I do know the material pretty well), it's the fact that I thought I was doing her a favor and she used it against me to skate out of doing her job.
