@smount2011 yep pretty sure I'm never going to poop again.
@bosslady925 I didnt have many symptoms with DS besides feeling tired and having some food aversions! I dont have much going on this time either except dizzy spells, a little nausea, and feeling sort of tired. We might just be lucky 😬
I weighed myself this morning and I’ve lost four pounds 😩 Also escalated from nausea to actually getting sick this morning. So that’s awesome. Can it be the second trimester yet?
side note: I had none of this with DS. I was exhausted and would occasionally be nauseated...but this is a whole new ballgame
@MrsJessS - I wonder if yours is a girl this time. I've heard that girls can make the symptoms more rough, but who knows. I was sick as a dog with DD, throwing up every single day from 6 weeks until close to 14 weeks and every so often into 17 weeks. This time, I have yet to throw up, but the nausea is almost constant. Maybe boy? We'll see!
@marebear15 I’ve decided it’s either a girl or twins 😂 reallly hoping for the girl option because having twins with DH on the other side of the world is less than ideal!
I have been getting dizzy spells, which aren't entirely uncommon for me regularly, but are definitely becoming more frequent. Duh, didn't even consider it a symptom. Sore nips seem to come and go. This morning before daycare my DD pooped, so we ran upstairs for a fresh diap and I swear all I could smell was her (closed) Ubbi diaper pail, and then was gagging changing her not-especially-disgusting poop, and then nearly threw up when I opened said horrific diaper pail. Those things are awesome at keeping the smell inside (non-pregnancy nose at least), but man, they're f-ing awful when they're open. I quickly remembered this happened when I was pregnant with DD. I absolutely could not use my work bathroom (multi stall) if someone had recently pooped in there, or was currently. I had to have my face in my shirt constantly when I walked in.

@bosslady925 - I have frequent pain (stabbing like) on one side at the very edge of my scar. It's become more frequent since I've been pregnant. It's not like super painful or anything, just annoying.
@marebear15 Pre pregnancy, occasionally if I'm in a weird position laying down or something and try to sit up quickly (almost twisted) or sneeze, there will be a super sharp almost tearing pain, that almost reminds me of what a hernia would feel like. But it's super quick. The past few days, if I'm standing quickly at work, or on one side, or sneezing with my legs crossed/stretching almost it happens more frequently. It's weird, but I assume it's something to do with stretching.
You really can't see my scar from the outside, but I know from needing an ultrasound for some bleeding issues in the fall, my OB and the tech mentioned my CS scar internally, so I assume there's visible scar tissue, and I've heard if there is, that there will be pain as the uterus grows. Appointment Friday, so I'll be sure to say something. FX my brain doesn't forget.

@bosslady925 - Can you feel your scar through your skin? My scar is barely visible where the skin meets, but I can feel the scar tissue all bumpy underneath. There's two round knobs on either end of the scar where they had the wire tied off.
Has anyone else experienced chills without a fever? It happens often around my period, as well, so I believe it to be a physical response to all the hormonal shifts but of course I research online and nothing I find says that chills are common without fever unless you’re cold- and I don’t feel cold. Everything says that I need to contact a doctor because I probably have an infection. 😒
Yessss @ the irritability. It doesn't help that my precious 2.5 year old DD has been really feeling her feelings recently and having epic tantrums. I was matching her screaming like a lunatic last night. She's so sweet and I feel awful, but she didn't even notice because she was screaming so loudly. I was DONE at bedtime. I kept telling DH to make her stop touching me, but of course I rocked and read to her.
@marebear15 great question...I remember when it was fresh I could. I'll feel for it tonight when I finally lie down and see if I can still feel it.

@daydreaminghufflepuff I've been having chills recently, with no fever, but only when I really cold -- which I've been a lot recently when the a/c is blasting at home, which is really unusual for me as I tend to run HOT. I've not experienced them without being cold though. I don't know that I'd jump to the doctor, unless you're otherwise not feeling well or are shaky.

@daydreaminghufflepuff - I'd get that checked out. Do you have a fever or no? I found out I had a sinus infection last week after having a low grade fever of about 99.5 for four days.
@marebear15 I don’t have a fever, no. Not that I really trust oral thermometers but when I took it under the tongue it was actually 97.5. I’d find it difficult to believe that when I usually get chills every month around my period that I’d also have an infection at the same time, every time. Maybe it’s my hypothyroid...
@daydreaminghufflepuff its a common symptom of thyroid issues & one of the reasons i got checked out a few weeks ago, as I kept shivering & couldnt get warm even though it wasnt cold at all.
I hit a new pregnancy symptom low today....sitting on the toilet with diarrhoea & had to grab the bin to throw up 😭
@leprechaunlady My numbers had been under control for quite some time but they are out of whack at the moment (TSH was 7.4 last week). I’m on a new dose but it’s likely that it hasn’t quite regulated yet. My next blood draw isn’t until July. The chills aren’t constant, but come and go. Guess I’ll just wrap myself up in some layers- in June. 😄 Hope your intestinal difficulties pass soon!
@justsuzie, totally normal! It’ll probably continue to decrease and you might eventually just dry up completely. You can still nurse though, if you want to. Fun fact, sometimes breastmilk turns almost salty while pregnant. 😐
@marebear15@bosslady925 I had a c-section, but don't feel my scar or pain in the area. I was told you might feel discomfort or tugging if there are adhesions. My OB actually recommend massaging the area as it first healed to help prevent them from forming. I have some numbness there, but that's it.
@kbrown2385 you should ask my 3 year old how snippy and impatient I have been with him lol. I don't know how I'm going to make it 7 more months without killing someone!
@daydreaminghufflepuff I get the chills all the time. Then again I seem to flash between hot and cold a lot. Cold is too cold, hot I'm drowning in sweat lol. I can't get comfortable. Good thing we are having insane weather here to keep me balanced.
February Siggy Challenge- Post pregnancy indulgences
@justsuzie I haven’t completely weaned my little one yet, and she is down to nursing 1-2 times a day, but my supply has dropped, too. I read it’s very normal. It apparently also may taste different, which I thought was interesting. My OB nurse didn’t have any concerns with continuing to breastfeed for now but they recommend weaning by 20w due to the uterine contractions. Did your doc have any advice given your kiddo is a lot younger than mine?
It's just after midnight, and my next door neighbor's cat must have just peed in the litter box. All I can smell is cat pee/litter and I don't have a cat! So gross...
February Siggy Challenge- Post pregnancy indulgences
@bosslady925 I came here to ask the same thing about csection scar pain. Mine has been off & on but tonight at 7+5 it’s been tough tonight. I do feel a lot of scar tissue under mine & I have a lovely “pouch” over it 🙄 I’m wondering if everything stretching is just irritating it?? Mine has been a range of feelings from just sore to a sharp pain & even an itching pain like I had back when it was healing almost 4 years ago.
I was worried about not having enough symptoms, but i see that everyone experiences something different. I mostly just feel like my period is about to start, but it hasn't. So i guess i really am pregnant! It's still hard to believe.
I’ve started carrying a tube of crackers in my purse so I can eat them periodically when I feel dizzy or nauseous. Idk if it’s helping but I’m being reminded of how good the club crackers are.
I’ve come to the point where I have to force food down- even carbs and sweets. The things I’ve enjoyed most the past few days have been sharp cheddar and orange juice. Also- my muscles are extremely tired and sore and there are points throughout the day when I just can’t keep my eyes open.
7 weeks today - will be 8w2d when I have my first ultrasound. My sense of smell has increased and nothing really smells good, even normally pleasant smells. I had a minor dizzy spell earlier today, had to steady myself on the wall. I’m always hungry - I’ve never been one for late eating or midnight snacks, but I had to eat something at 2am this morning to chase the nausea away. My digestion has slowed way down. I’m not constipated, but things are moving A LOT slower. I am peeing a little more frequently, but my urge to pee has really intensified. Fatigue has definitely set in - I’m not tired enough for a nap normally, just low motivation and want to lay around. Some minor pressure in the uterus area, I assume from baby growing.
The irritability is real. I mean it was my fault for going to wegmans on a sunday afternoon to do my weekly shopping. But lord were people annoying AF today. I wanted to ram everyone with my shopping cart but I didn't. I was so glad to get out of there when I did. Also came in at under budget so I'll take that as a win.
@jamidine Is this your first? That was when my boat was the worst...then it went away for a few weeks. The more water I drank the less bloated I felt. I was able to hide my bump until 18 weeks.
EmilyE13 I won't see my OB until the end of june to get the NIPT bloodwork done around 10-11 weeks. We did my intake on the phone but I forgot to ask about breastfeeding. My DD has weaned herself this week I think she stopped liking the way my milk tasted. She would push my boob away. @mrsbuddd I think my milk must have changed!
Anyone ever vomited so hard they broken capillaries in their face? I look like I have a ton of red freckles across my eyes, cheeks, and some on my forehead.
@marebear15 🙋🏻♀️ As recently as this morning. I usually get it when my stomach is empty & my body is determined to expel something that isnt there. It sucks!
@bumptink yup, that sounds like the pain I was having. I mentioned it to my OB on Friday, and she didn't even really bat an eye/address it because it sounded so normal to her...so, I guess it's normal???
All day yesterday I kept getting cramping around my right ovary. It was so weird. If I didn't know better, I would say I was ovulating. It was so strange and made me anxious. Googling tells me it's likely Accommodation pain? I've never heard of this, but it sounds like what I was having. It's weird though that it was only on one side, but I tend to only feel ovulation pain on the same side.

Constant nausea!!! No vomiting but long forlorn hours spent next to the porclein throne almost wishing I would vomit so I could just move on with things. I've been trying to eat carbs with a little protein but nothing feels good anymore. The terrible thing is that water makes the nausea worse so I keep getting behind on fluids. Uggh! I just want to feel like myself. Any magic cures I haven't already tried out there for people. I'm so over this!
