The other day I got home from work and parked my car in the driveway. When I turned off the car, i noticed a giant wasp fly over my windshield in the direction of the drivers door. I decided to sit in the car until the coast was clear. After a minute or so I lost sight of the wasp and opened the car door. I had apparently lost sight of it because it had landed on top of my car, just near the door opening, because as soon as I opened the door, it flew towards me. I screamed and pulled the door closed. But in my panic, I somehow hit the panic button on my car keys. So now the car's panic alarm was going off. It took me a good minute to figure out how the heck to turn it off (in case anyone else ever find themselves in this predicament - you apparently cannot turn off the alarm from inside the car, at least, not in mine 😂). As if this wasn't embarrassing enough, this week is a city-wide garage sale event, so a good 20 people were out in neighboring driveways perusing garage sales and got to witness the whole thing.

I hadn't eaten spaghetti-os in YEARS until I hit 1st trimester, when it was one of the only things I could keep down. I was eating at least one can a day 🤦♀️
My husband loathes Spaghetti-Os, and I was like @galentine, they were one of the things I could handle well during the nauseous stretch so I ate them frequently. He thinks they are so gross that he would literally leave the room while I ate them.
HALO TOP IS NOT ICE CREAM! I repeat Halo Top is not ice cream. Ice cream is supposed to be creamy, it’s in the name for goodness sake. For the record I do enjoy some HT flavors here and there but it is a cold treat not ice cream.
@kindbytealikat, I tried Halo Top one time and could not get behind it. Ice cream is my favorite food, and I frequently say that I'm an "equal opportunity ice cream eater," meaning I love ALL types. I will chow down on soft serve or hard ice cream, regular ice cream or fro yo, sherbet, sorbet, even granita. I like sundaes, ice cream bars, ice cream sandwiches, root beer floats, literally any form of ice cream.
But Halo Top..... no thank you. It's the one and only ice cream I will ever pass on. It just does not taste good.
Halo Top is gross. Anyone else watch the Bachelorette and the shamless Halo Top plug? They're in Boston... in March. Sitting around eating fake ice cream can't be that enjoyable.
FFFC: I have a favorite dog. While I absolutely love our Corgis I heavily favor our lab. He’s so much lazier and honestly is better behaved than my kids half of the time. He was so easy to train and he rarely makes or gets into trouble with the exception of shedding. I 100% knew my corgis would be more work, more stubborn, and barkers, and I do love how intelligent they are, but sometimes they drive me insane. I also have to be super strict with their diets or they get sick and they try to sneak everything that they can, while the lab has a garbage can for a stomach and always waits to be told that he can eat things. I really believe that he is just a special dog because I’ve had other labs and not a single one was like this but I do sometimes feel guilty that I generally like him more.

I am fully behind you ladies, that is NOT ice cream. I think I need another milkshake to understand that point even more And I love Spaghetti-O's!! I wish I could eat them more, but anything tomato-based is giving me either heartburn or icky back-of-throat nausea.

I’ll do a preemptive confession. We’re going to a pizza place tonight that does individual pizzas that are generously sized and would have enough leftovers for lunch the next day. I plan to eat the whole thing.
Confession: We're holding steady on team green, but I can't say I wasn't tempted to try and peek at the screen during our anatomy scan. It's not that I don't want to know, honestly, it's just that I love the idea of the big surprise more. And I'm hoping the not knowing will help motivate me during labor.

@galentine I’m with you I love all things ice cream, exception to most all low fat/sugar varieties, and Frozen Custard is probably my favorite followed by gelato.
@kindbytealikat, gelato is probably my #1 favorite, but custard is a close second. So creamy! Mainly because it's made with egg yolks... unlike Halo Top. 😂 #fullcircle
I had the best coffee ice cream last week....I have left over milkshake from lunch in the freezer that i cannot wait to eat I was waiting til later tonight for DD's slumber party tonight that we do on Friday nights.

For the record I’m with you on the ice cream love. Lots of moms decompress at the end of the day with a glass of wine. I prefer a bowl of ice cream.
Same, @greenbean-2, same! If I'm going to splurge on some calories and give myself a treat, I choose ice cream 99% of the time.
I actually think my grandparents instilled a love of ice cream in me. They had a bowl of ice cream every single night at 8pm, without fail. And my grandfather requested that he be the one to feed all the grandbabies their first taste of ice cream when they were old enough. 💙💙💙

i hate this time of year mostly because of two things- 1) allergies and 2) traffic. I live in an area where two rather large rivers meet. The valleys have wicked pollen, and I’m basically in allergy hell all summer.
I’m also an hour south of a rather popular weekend vacation spot and half hour south of the local race track. My commute home on fridays is always doubled in time because of the increase in traffic. There’s also always accidents caused by this increase that add even more time. I’m already ready for Labor Day 🙈
