R/R: it’s really my last day of school today! Our last work day is today! Then maybe I can return to this board and be a better participant!

This construction may just kill us... literally. We had a teacher almost get hit by lockers being demo’d Yesterday in the hallway. It’s like really, we can’t wait to start demo until Thursday when no teachers are left in the building?! Ugh 😑

CS/Q: is it weird that I’m so excited to have a normal AF? 😂

@MrsVP614 I started with OPKs last cycle and I got Wondfos. I thought there was something wrong with them for a while but turned out I was just ovulating a lot later than I thought. Still it was a bit of a pain so since for the next couple months we’ve got some trips and weddings I’m going with the more expensive clearblue digital bc that is just once a day FMU.

@ejoseph16 yay for last day! That does seem insane they wouldn’t wait until teachers are gone for construction!

WAYDTGKU:
-A more laid-back (low-pressure) approach, so no charting or temping.
-No contraception, sperm-friendly lubricant (Pre-Seed), staying healthy in general (working out, hiking, eating healthier), pre-natal vitamins, avoiding unnecessary chemicals/nasties in environment/food/pharms.
-Eating healthier. I've been adding in lots of extra fruits, vegetables (particularly greens and cruciferous ones), hemp hearts, sesame seeds, cacao powder, and olive/avocado oils.
-Maintaining a low caffeine intake. No alcohol (no biggie because I'm not a coffee or alcohol drinker).
-Keeping a TTC journal.

R/R: AF came last night/this morning, so I'm back to WTO. I'm feeling pretty down about it, and I am trying to convince myself that it is better that it didn't happen this cycle (with settling down in our new place). I just wanna lie around and eat sweets all day, but there are lots of things that have to be done.

WAYDTGKU: Charting? Timing?

R/R: Rant: Husband was supposed to have a semen annalysis done today because he was told years ago he had a low sperm count and never conceived with his ex wife. Current doctor reviewed the results from 10 years ago and said they were within the normal range but doesn't explain why ex never conceived ex did have a tubal ligation reversal so he was being rechecked today. He picked a shift up at the PD and moved his appoinment to Friday. RAVE: 10 days left of school!!!!

CS/Q: Not sure what this means? Still learning all the accronymns.

R/R: Having some cramping the last few days. Really could be anything. Could be ovulation. Could be gas. Could be nothing. I’m just charting it and trying not to get wound up over it. Patience is not my strong suit but I have no choice here.

@tyrion_ cramping is such a rough “symptom” to determine the cause, could be normal cycle stuff, could be more, could be that I ate 6lbs of cheese and a tub of ice cream last night 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

@MrsVP614 Ah! Hamilton was so good. I really hope you enjoy. I will recommend going light on drinks prior to the show as the first half is super long and I was having serious bladder cramps trying not to pee myself.

@ejoseph16 You made it! Hope you have a nice and relaxing summer. And I totally look forward to a normal cycle/AF so I understand you fully.

@MrsVP614 - enjoy Hamilton!! I use "Easy @ Home" from Amazon with the PreMom app on my phone, my OB/GYN friend recommended them over the digital ones. I take a picture of the test and load it into the app so it confirms low/high/peak. I was talking to I think @kpearse99 about them a few days ago in randoms, I don't temp so OPK's are all I know about...I can find the info I gave her and send you a DM! @mrswiswell - sorry the SA got moved! How annoying when you just want to start getting answers. CS/Q stands for chart stalk/questions -- people who are temping and using the Fertility Friend app post their charts here in a spoiler so we can help analyze how your chart looks/whether you ovulated/when ovulation might be coming. I however am not temping or using FF!

R/R: Both rant and rave - I think my TTC burnout from earlier in the week was transmitted to SO, leading to a fight yesterday about whether we could start EOD. It's not FW yet but I wanted to establish a routine for the cycle (sexy!)...he was busy and overwhelmed with work and got pissed when I got frustrated that he was going to be busy. But we talked it out and decided (I think we've decided this before honestly but we're actually going to stick to it now!) that I'm really going to involve him more so it's less like I'm asking him for a favor. I haven't wanted to tell him all the technical details of how the FW works and exactly *why* you need to HIO for five days before O - I thought it would be a turnoff or something which now seems like I was being really sexist towards myself! If I can handle all the biological info why can't he?? He was actually interested in the details and I think we're in a better place now although I think I've said that before...we'll see!

@MrsVP614 yup - what @whitealbum29 said! Although I use the SmileReader, which is similar to the Easy @ Home ones. It come with an app that you download and take pictures of the tests and then they tell you how fertile you are that day! I also don't temp, just use OPKs (although this is only my first month using them) and monitor my CM.
Also... I'm pretty sure we've had this conversation about Hamilton before but you are going to LOOOOOOVE it!!! I can't wait to hear about how much you loved it haha. I sat there in awe the entire time. There is so much to look at though that I NEED to go back and see it a few more times

@ejoseph16 it's not weird at all to be excited to have a regular cycle haha I went my entire life never knowing when it would show up. It sucked! But after having my IUD removed in the fall it suddenly became regular!

@whitealbum29 I also hold back the full details of how it all works from DH too haha I never know what would be TMI for him

I don't want to make him uncomfortable either or turn him off... he also is so against scheduling sex (which of course, me too, I get it) but it's kinda hard not to when you're trying to make a baby!

R/R: Still haven't seen the blazing + yet on the OPK but my CM states otherwise and I had some cramping yesterday too that I am chalking up to ovulation....I'll keep testing though.

@mrswiswell HIO stands for Have It Out or Having It Out (basically another way of saying BD... Baby Dance... or DOD.. doing the deed...) haha there are so many ways to say it! I was in the same boat as you not to long ago, just keep asking as they come up and we'll fill you in! Unless someone else knows of another post somewhere, in which case, I'll go glance at it too!

R/R: Rant - I'm up for promotion to Officer (currently enlisted) and the message announcing those chosen usually comes out the first Monday of June. Well, it didn't come out this past Monday and I'm so anxious. I applied back in November, and I'm sick of waiting!

R/R: I had high hopes for this cycle, largely due to new symptoms (spoiler)

largely due to 2 days of intense uterine tenderness 8-9 DPO (like the seatbelt hurt) which was totally a pregnancy symptom with DD

but here we are. It's been a long past few days and I'm looking forwards to some time off from work and breathing room.

@kpearse99 - I'm glad I'm not the only one! I think I gave him a good amount of info that made him motivated and intrigued about how it works and made it into a little project/mission for us to make sure we get as many of those days before O, without being 100% sure when O will be. It fits his personality but I'm sure many guys are better left in the dark!

@sevenn it sucks so much when "new" symptoms appear, right?! Like, WTH??? We already obsess over everything, so there's no need to sneak new symptoms in if it's not going to be for the greater good. I SWORE I was KU this past cycle when my boobs hurt for 2 weeks before AF showed up. *TW*

The last time they did that was when I got a BFP in the fall (that ended in a loss but still)

Some cycles I have zero symptoms and other cycles there are so many mixed or new ones. I seriously need to give up on trying to figure out if it's early pregnancy or just AF about to arrive.

@whitealbum29 I'm glad that YH really appreciates the extra information! It's great that he's so on board with what the expectations will be and why it has to be that way. Me on the otherhand... I'll just keep trying to come up with sexy ways to randomly coax MH into DOD

Like one time, I offered to give him a back massage (fully knowing what I was going to turn it into) LOL!

WAYDTGKU: Avoiding this month, waiting on test results to see if I have some sort of underlying infection.

R/R: I have been so busy. I'm still catching up at work, I hung out with a friend until 1 a.m. on Monday night (she hasn't been in town for a year), then I had a half day yesterday for an appointment, then went to hang out with my friend that lives near where my appointment was. Yesterday was just a stressful day all together so I went to bed at 8pm. I am feeling much better today and have said no to 2 events this weekend. #selfcare

@m6agua - I had read that it helps make your CM slippery-er, so I thought I might give it a shot. I had read that so long as the only ingredient is Guaifenesin and doesn't contain anything else that cold meds have (Dextromorphan, etc) then it should help.

@kpearse99 sorry you haven’t gotten a blazing positive yet, I think it’s pretty easy to miss. Last month was my first time taking them and I think I would have missed mine if I hadn’t taken it at an odd time on a whim.

The regular mucinex help to liquefy mucus in your body, so the theory is that it would make your CM more sperm friendly too. My one friend swears that this is what helped her get pregnant. I've done a decent amount of reading on the internet about this and there really is no deciding factor on if it helps or not. But if it loosens up the mucus in your body then it couldn't hurt, right? That's how I look at it anyway.

@mrswiswell I wondered what HIO meant at first too! At first I thought people meant to type GIO (as in...Getting it On) but I saw it so much I realized it must be its own acronym

@kpearse99 yes I've been told EOD because for some men the concentration of sperm can decline with too frequent ejaculation. Of course, without doing a semen analysis you won't know if your guy is one of those and for many men their sperm concentrations are just fine with daily ejaculation. So...who knows. lol. We did EOD until I started seeing some progress on my OPKs and then we did daily. Don't think I will change for this cycle

@MrsVP614 I used the pregmate OPKs this last cycle. They were pretty good. I've been hearing about Wondfo's and I'm not sure if there is a huge difference. I also used the Clear Blue Advanced Digital OPKs. Those are the ones where you get a flashing smiley face once your estrogen starts to rise ahead of the LH and then a solid smiley face once you have your LH peak. But, I never got the solid smiley face despite clear positive pregmate OPKs. So...not sure what I will do this cycle. The advanced digital OPKs were kind of expensive. Maybe I'll just use the regular digital OPKs to save a few bucks. I have to give it some thought...

@m6agua I sometimes feel guilty about saying no, but I'm trying to be better at saying no without guilt when I need some time to recharge for myself.

@ihaveprayed We just started seeing a RE so DH will be doing a SA done in a about a week or so. I want to get through this FW before he does a SA since they have to hold out on ejaculating for a few days. I don't want to waste this FW haha

@kpearse99 & @m6agua DH's doctor told DH and myself to both take mucinex (make sure it's just the normal one) around O last cycle. You could definitely tell the difference in CM.

@kpearse99 @ttcbabyodo @brookert615 Thanks for the info! I actually went through a long period of time where I had virtually no CM. It was when a bunch of my health stuff was at it's worst and was a symptom of my low progesterone and messed up hormones in general.

@brookert615 how many times a day did you take Mucinex? And when did you begin? For example, if I'm using digital OPKs and get the flashing smiley (high fertility) would I begin it then? Until O is confirmed? Thanks!

@puppylove8910 We used it as prescribed, every 12 hours. We started taking it I think when I was on CD10 I think and took it until I got a negative OPK. You just want to make sure it is only an expectorant because you want the mucus to loosen.
