You guys and your hot dog talk is totally cracking me up! They’re not something we normally have, but during the “foods of my childhood” stage of first tri, turkey hot dogs in kraft Mac n cheese was one of the few foods I could tolerate.
I’m definitely about ready to get on board with the corn dog suggestion though. Yum!
I haven't had them yet this year but right around this time in last pregnancy I went through a huge hot dog kick. For me they had to be burnt on the grill and then topped with mustard, raw onions and crumbled gorgonzola cheese, lol. No idea where that craving had come from, but totally ready to do it again.

We had chili dogs for supper tonight. My husband had never had them before(!), but he insisted on bean-free chili, which isn't my favorite. But! The chili dogs were delicious.
Add me to the list of loving hot dogs!! We had them for dinner on Sunday because that is what sounded so delicious!!
I could literally eat anything and everything right now (well, almost...). @nnaelilak 's suggestions sounded so yummy!! I've been craving fried fish tacos ALL THE TIME. But I'm pretty persuaded by all of the food commercials or just driving around and seeing food places and remembering something good from there.

We had hotdogs for lunch and corn dogs are the plan for dinner. 🤷♀️ I always love hotdogs during pregnancy and I really want to try using a pickle as a bun this week...
add me to the list too. read this thread and had to have a nearly burnt grilled hot dog for dinner last night, which is unusual because I normally really dislike them! My DH was so happy because I've had a huge meat aversion (with the exception of chicken and fish) and he's been very bummed about all the veg meals I've demanded.
Just like my last 2 pg’s ive been craving cheeseburgers almost everyday. And pickles but I’ve always loved those. I hate hotdogs 😬 I think 2 times in my life I’ve “craved” one and after a bite couldn’t finish it 😂 but maybe once a year I like bratwurst.
My issue sue right now (even 18 weeks in) is someone can just mention a food and I’ll suddenly be craving it like crazy. Then once I get it I feel an aversion towards it 🤦🏻♀️ It’s annoying to say the least.

I’ve avoided this thread because the hot dog talk. I’ve tried eating hot dogs and a corn dog twice this pregnancy. Blech two bites in. Weird I generally enjoy them.

I feel this way about hamburgers right now. Hopefully it’s only temporary....
@emily1052 I couldn't eat red meat with DS. Didn't settle well at all. It went away almost immediately after birth. Thank goodness! FX it does for you too.
@emily1052 I couldn’t eat chicken for months when I was pregnant with DS. It would sound good in theory, then I’d taste it or even see it on my plate and it was a no-go! The aversion left around 3rd trimester for me.
Curious what everyone’s favorite beverages are lately? I’m starting to get tired of both regular and sparkling waters, but finding the beverage aisle pretty overwhelming with choices.
It's probably not the healthiest, but I made a batch of lemonade with lemons from our tree and it really hit the spot. I water it down to make it last. Also, for less sugar add mint or cucumber or orange slices or lemon slices to plain water.
@mrsinterweb I've been drinking the Bubly flavored water. They have a lot of different flavors. I also like small bottles of juice or the little Gatorades in the summer. We buy the juice at a wholesale store because the packs are bigger and have multiple flavors. I usually won't drink more then 1 flavored beverage a day (excluding coffee because that's a necessity 😉).
@emily1052 I also have a huge red meat aversion. Burgers and steak make me want to throw up. But I’m okay with chicken and fish.
@mrsinterweb I have been drinking coconut water. I also made this cucumber cocktail syrup from my last food and wine magazine that I’ve been mixing with club soda and that helped mix things up - I definitely have trouble staying hydrated. Oh and I’m also drinking kombucha, which is apparently controversial 🤷♀️
@mrsinterweb I purchased a lime jalapeño margarita mix from Williams and Sonoma and have been mixing it with sparkling water when I need a treat.
On another note, I really wanted cupcakes last night and only discovered after making the batter that our oven quit working in the last 24 hrs. I managed to save the day by cooking them in my barbecue!! The oven on the other hand 😞
Add me to the lemonade train for beverages. I let myself have one glass with dinner each night, then just water the rest of the day. The more sour it is, the better, for me.

A cocktail mix and soda sounds like a fun idea! I also love that you made BBQ cupcakes!
@obsessedwithoranges goodness I was so confused over kombucha. Trying to read if it’s “good” or “bad” during pregnancy, there’s no clear answer. I’ve had it twice now but then worry I’m doing something wrong ℓσℓ but I love it so much!
i usually love sparkling water but it was making me MISERABLY bloated so I’ve been afraid to drink any again.
I mostly just drink water, about 90oz a day 🤦🏻♀️ Otherwise I get the headaches. I do have a coffee every morning and if I’m really dragging I have another in the afternoon (like I’ll likely have today)

About this pickle bun...
@sweetteaandswingsmama OMG Pickle Bun?!
@stephanie123456 what is it with fried fish? It's a constant craving of mine along with shrimp tacos.
