What are your Memorial weekend plans?

Nothing set in stone yet. Most likely going to the lake house and family farm for a day. They are having a rummage sale, so I will hang out with family at the farm and maybe get out on the boat. Then DH is planing D&D with friends, we are hosting. Getting my house/shit together for next week. I'm having a rummage sale and have a ton of appointments.

We are in the middle of a move, but I'm currently sick (in bed)--so I'm not sure how much we will get done!
I'm going to go nap and hope that I magically feel better by tonight!

Nothing at all - probably will do some yardwork over the long weekend! Hoping for lots of naps and decent weather although it's hot/humid AF here with a chance of rain every day. I'm watching a dog from Rover and that's about it. *TW*

And hopefully meeting my BFF's new baby!

Nothing super exciting but hopefully will be relaxing. We're going to my family's house in RI the following weekend for a quick getaway so I guess we'll celebrate a week late. I'm getting my hair colored tomorrow morning...will go to at least one barre/yoga class I hope...I'm sure we'll go out to eat something fun at some point.

I do love Memorial Day and Labor Day though! I love that we recognize unofficial/"cultural" bookends of summer (plus of course their real significance is important too!)

I'm in a wedding so I have something for that every day this weekend. Rehearsal, Actual wedding, brunch the next day. Should be fun but I'm feeling stressed about it too.

I like how most of us have no plans. As good as 3 day weekends are for getting things done we like to spend the whole time recharging!

I will probably have our zero gravity chairs up on our deck for lounging even though it's not finished and has no railing. Dammit I will enjoy it this weekend anyway! We've had 2 days of no rain and nobody has come to work on the deck and we haven't gotten any emails so I don't know what's up.

Before my niece I had never seen a legit newborn and they are SO SMALL. Now I see how they actually fit in those baby bumps 😄.

Tonight is the drive in and since it’s 45min away we’re not going to get home until like 4am so Saturday is recovery. Sunday is getting stuff done. Monday we’ll go to my ILs for a couple hours and maybe do a fire with s’mores when we get home!

We have some friends who invited themselves over on Sunday--we love entertaining, so I am fine with that. We live in a small town outside of the bigger town most ppl we know live in, so we love when ppl come to us. It's not any farther away than getting from one part of the bigger town to the other part of the bigger town but people act like we live in podunk.

Nothing big, but that's just fine with us! Take out pizza tonight, and trying the new neighborhood coffee shop on Sunday. We may go to visit DH's parents at some point. I also have a lot of grading to do (boo!). But, the good news is that the end of the school year is in sight!

Tomorrow, I’m driving 2 hours each way to go to the zoo with my friend who lives up there. *TW LC*

Her son is 8 months older than mine and we’re hoping they’ll have fun together looking at the animals.

Sunday is for housework. Monday is a family BBQ. I’m hoping it’s at SIL’s, but she suggested our house, because we have a big backyard, so I don’t know.

Love it! Such a nice, low-key holiday.

We're taking a little road trip and staying at an air bnb just to check out somewhere new. Planning to hike, do a little site seeing, and check out some local grub. Heading home Monday, cleaning be damned.

It makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one with no real plans. MH has to work on Sunday and then play the bagpipes in two parades on Monday. Since he'll leave Sunday morning and won't be home until Monday afternoon I plan on getting some stuff done around the house.

FX for nice weather for everyone who has outdoor plans!

We are doing super romantic stuff—like setting our June budget lol. I will be getting some grading in as well. My hubby is finally off for a few days so we will find a way to squeeze in some beach time or something relaxing as well.

We were both off today so we spent the day working in the basement (we are in the process of finishing) and going to my sisters tonight. *TW*

For a gender reveal party

Tomorrow will probably be more work in the basment and then H works overnights Saturday and Sunday and evening shift on Monday. So I will probably just chill the rest of the weekend.

I hate the idea of "gender reveals" like, passionately-- luckily, I have never been invited to one. So sorry that you'll have to experience that. I can only hope you don't hate them as much as I do, considering.

@kagesstarshroom omg agreed...possibly unpopular opinion + mention of other ppl’s pregnancies below.

i can’t stand the idea of them for several reasons. It seems like videos of them where the couple finds out it’s a girl often seem to show the dad trying not to look disappointed or everyone being like “haha yikes buckle up dude!” Yuck.

We got some fun stuff to play with in the yard and went to two parties yesterday after DH participating in a MD ceremony with other vets. Today is softball and maybe the zoo. Tomorrow is a parade and pool party. I love being busy sometimes, but I am exhausted this weekend!
