YES!! This drives me nuts! Or when people don’t hold/keep open the door a bit when you are coming right behind them. I had a women push a door closed in my face recently even when she saw me coming behind her. It made me feel so much rage at the time!

Yes, it’s rare but does happen. Moms of boys can still carry the DNA of their previous children that will get caught in the test. The only NIPT that has not had this happen in panorama.
The NIPTs determine sex by looking for Y chromosomes in the mother’s blood. As we are XX, if they find Ys, they declare boy. If no Ys, they declare girl.
Though the woman I know of who had this happen had never been pregnant before, so 🤷🏼♀️
@jenferlee82 I know that’s an issue with sneak peek testing but I didn’t think so with NIPT
It is with all but panorama. The others have about a 0.5% chance of being incorrect. My MFM told me the other week that panorama is the only NIPT to never have reported the incorrect sex. It’s why they always double check at the A/S even when you know.
