** SPOILERS AHEAD...... ***
Wow, wow, wow - I think I'm still recovering from last night. Where to even begin? Are you surprised Danny didn't accept the surrender or knew it was coming? I thought she was going to accept the surrender but go straight after Cersei with the dragon. I think in that moment Jon knew he wouldn't be able to support her anymore.
As much as I can't stand Cersei, the reunion between her and Jamie made me teary and at their end as well! I would have liked to seen Aria take revenge with Cersei but after seeing Cersei's ending, I thought it was an appropriate one.
So many more thoughts but leaving it at that for now...
Cannot wait for next week!!
Re: Game of Thrones Recap 5/13 ** SPOILERS INSIDE **
I liked the Cersei ending too, even though it wasn't what I thought would happen at all. I thought they actually humanized her a bit before her death, which made me less "happy" for her death - in a good way, if that makes sense.
I thought for sure Arya was a goner! She looked three-quarters dead by the end. Glad she is going to make it to the last episode.
It's definitely building to the Jon/Daenerys showdown in the final episode. It's going to be epic!!
You could very well be right with your theory, maybe Dany will win the show down (if there is one) and it will end with her as the new crazy tyrant. It would be very typical of this crazy show to just leave it like that.

Not sure how I feel about Jaime's (lack of?) redemption arc and I agree @Cass005 @junebabyh wish Euron would've died knowing he sucks the worst.
I think I could believe that Dany would turn into the Mad Queen if the writers hadn't done it so quickly... I mean this is the girl that locked up her dragons bc they got 1 innocent child in Meereen... and now she's burning errbody to the ground? That was quick.
I mean - we KNEW it was coming. They have been setting her up to go crazy for a while. But at the same time it felt rushed like @obsessedwithoranges said.
Also annoyed that Arya left Gendry and traveled all that way, just to do exactly NOTHING. I am assuming she needed to see the death and destruction caused by Dany in order to actually team up with Jon to defeat her? I am guessing they (and Tyrion) will plan something out here in the final episode? I just don't see how there is only ONE LEFT. ughhh.
