  • Welcome @shoogapoff ! Sounds like you have a fun house full with 2 cats and dogs! I wish I could have that! lol. I used to have 2 cats once upon a time. Unfortunately they are gone now :( But I would LOVE a cat or dog! Unfortunately, we don't have time for a dog , as they are pretty needy.. we are not home enough. Hubby is a real esate agent and works for coca cola . And I work at 3 diff facilities, so I do weird hours. But a cat would be great at least they're self-sufficient! But DH really doesn't want a cat, he's afraid they will scratch up our furniture. SMH. So that leaves me with a lonely house. No cats. No dogs. No babies.. :( ..Lol. BUT it's ok. Our time will come! Hopefully for baby. If not then a dog. If not that, then a cat. (You get the picture ;) .. eventually he'll cave in somewhere. I say this light heartedly. . I am feeling optimistic lately.

GOOD LUCK LADIES. Where are you at in cycle. Currently in FW for me.. Opks been getting darker so I'm expecting peak tonight or tmro. FX

  • I hear ya, @valgal90 . My husband isn't crazy about the animals, but he tolerates them because they make me happy. Thankfully he and I have some differences in our schedules so that they aren't left alone too often. That's the hardest part, especially for the dogs- You have to structure your schedule around them needing to go out. Oh well. The things we do!

I'm on CD 6, and I usually ovulate around day 11 or 12, so I'll start taking OPKs soon. I buy the cheapies online so I don't feel guilty starting to test a little early. FX for you!
  • Welcome @skcb718!  I know what you mean about the time feeling longer than it actually is. It's been good for me to see other people on this forum who've been trying longer than me, and who end up in the grad thread. It puts things in perspective. I keep saying that I wouldn't mind if it took x amount of time to get pregnant, if I just *knew* that's how long it would take. Like, why can't we have a countdown clock that says "it'll take 10 months", or 6 months or whatever?! The not knowing makes any amount of waiting feel like forever.

  • @amber2718 Welcome! I laughed out loud at your “trash gremlin”! So cute.
  • Ages (you and SO): I'm 28 and my Husband is 31

How many months have you been TTC?: This is our 4th month trying. (been trying since February)

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: We have been tracking my cycle with the P tracker app, which I have been using for many years now. I had my IUD (Mirena) removed the beginning of January. We have been trying to have sex twice a day at least every other day during my "fertile window" according to my app. We got a faint positive line on our second try but I ended up getting my AF later that week (was told by OB that my gCH levels were too low to tell that Monday and after I got my AF that Friday morning they re drew my blood and said nothing was detected any longer. After being bummed out for a few weeks we were optimistic about try 3 but again nothing. This time we were not as active or consistent in TTC (a week and 1/2 ago) but all this past week I've notice slight changes in myself (sore breast, slight cramps the past couple days, some heartburn, and mood swings, bloating and ect). AF is 6 days away.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.):

I love watching movies, anime, and Asian dramas. My husband and I have a Morkie (Maltese/Yorkshire terrier mix) who is 3yrs old. I am currently a Full Time Assistant manager of a women retail store. We have owned our house for 2yrs and just got married in March, been together going on 4yrs. I enjoy being artsy, painting, fashion, and food. Favorite is cake and macaroni and cheese (even though I am partial lactose intolerant.
  • @mrsweirdcutie Hi! Welcome! It's still definitely disheartening and/or devastating to see a line & then have AF arrive, so I'm sorry for that experience! When I first got here, I was just tracking AF via FF (the app I use now to track everything & one my AF tracker app happened to be the sister app to, so my 60+ cycles of data transferred from it to FF easily yay) to determine my FW, but many of us find tracking bbt (& some other stuff & plugging it all into FF) helpful to determine a specific date of ovulation. I hope your stay with us is short! Congrats on your recent marriage! I also love fashion--and a few anime series/movies! But I haven't seen toooo too many. I grew up watching Sailor Moon, and a few years back binged Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, which was sooooo good. I think they are making a live-action Akira?
