My FFFC is that sometimes I feel like a lurker here. I read a lot of the boards but dont end up replying for various reasons. Either because the topic/product/issue doesn't apply for my country, so I feel like I don't have anything relevant to say (or shouldn't voice an opinion on something I have no experience with), or because I suddenly get really far behind on a thread, and mobile is super annoying when trying to reply to someone's comment 20 posts before and I get overwhelmed. (Or annoyed at the typing glitches when I do try to reply lol).

So anyway....I guess I'm kind of a creeper!
And I apologize!

@chillycanadian I don’t think of you as a lurker/creeper at all! In fact, I often feel like one. When it’s busy at work, it’s difficult to keep up. At home, I’m exhausted & sleeping or doing housework. Other days, my hands hurt (rheumatoid) & typing is a chore.

@chillycanadian, you are definitely not! I get it because I have similar thoughts. I’m a Canadian who lives in Europe so many things are not applicable and/or I’m on mobile and it’s so hard to reply when I fall behind. I like seeing your posts though because you’re my fellow Canadian!

@chillycanadian @jrm_14 I feel you both on the "imposter syndrome" haha. I don't think any of us ARE lurkers but sometimes I can feel that way too

(eta including @akuzreve in here - didn't see your post. But I probably find you most relatable as a fellow Canadian in Europe haha)

@elcab I hear you on both fronts! I accidentally clicked the GOT thread on here and I was so bad bc i hate having the notification thing so now I have to go in every time I'm on here just to get rid of the yellow notification 🙄

Oh..I have another FFFC...
We got our AS CD of pictures in the mail yesterday. (We were so excited, and then had technical difficulties so even though we had to leave for an appointment at 1130, we were still looking at pictures at 1115. Despite having not showered or gotten dressed yet 😂).

Anyway...FFC... I'm kinda disappointed in the pictures. I mean, there are some freaking fascinating things to see. And we have several videos of the heart beating and all the chambers working perfectly. Which is AMAZING. But.... There are no "classic" profile shots. Nothing at all resembling what everyone has posted here. We do have 2 hilarious ones of the face (which look terrifying actually haha).
And everything looks good with baby. No problems. So I feel guilty for feeling disappointed that we don't get THE ultrasound picture.

I’m weirdly happy when DD is a brat while other people are watching her. Like, when I can head DH or my MIL struggling with her while I’m in another room. I feel like it gives everyone a taste of what I deal with as a stay-at-home mom all day long.

For the record, I would not derive the same pleasure from her being a brat for a babysitter / at preschool, etc. Then I just feel bad, lol.

@chillycanadian this kid was not cooperative and we did not get any of the good "classic" shots... we do have a skeletor like one... and a ton with this kid in pike position and arms covering the head/face.... I guess I am just going to have to wait 4 more months to see what this kid looks like

@aecm I get a sense of pleasure (or relief) when I see other peoples kids be sassy/melt down or what ever... I'm not alone and its not just my kids that can be a handful sometimes.

@wabash15 I know what you mean! The other day I was in line at Target with Pickle and she was being so well behaved while there was a toddler losing it a few people behind us. I felt bad for the parents but I'd be lying if I didn't feel a moment of relief. (Of course, there was definitely a time when *I* abandoned my cart and carried my screaming and kicking kid out of there, so I guess it goes full circle.)

My kids are spoiled and I dont have a problem with it. They dont act like brats or anything, and they certainly get told "no" a lot, but they still have far more than they need.

@chillycanadian I didn’t get a classic profile for this kid either. And I was kinda bummed. Lots of pictures of his legs and feet, lol. We go back for a placenta check at 27 weeks, so I’m hoping we’ll get to see the baby also!!

Oh, I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like a lurker! Time just gets away from me sometimes (or let's be real, I feel like crap for whatever reason and just not up to posting) and I don't check on the forum. Though I will say, I would never consider any of you who said you felt like lurkers to actually be lurkers, I definitely recognize your names!

FFFC: I'm definitely falling into the trap of, when shopping for baby things, "if it costs more, it must be better! I need all the spendy things!!" Even though I know it's not true. Is that fancy stroller nicer than the one we'll probably end up getting? Sure. Is it worth almost doubling the price? Probably not. Do I want it anyway? Hell yes. Poor DH is constantly having to talk me out of all the expensive stuff that we shouldn't be buying.

@chillycanadian I’m so glad your brought up the lurker thing. I ALWAYS feel like the odd man out in here. And I don’t know why, maybe because I did lurk for so long? But everyone is always super engaging. But yes, often I feel like I’m creeping into things that aren’t my business.
I feel you on the US pics too. We did get 2 profile shots like your talking about that I love and will frame...and then there’s the SUPER creepy face shot that I don’t like to look at because it really is just not cute. I’m glad she has what appears to be two eye sockets, but does it have to be so demonic looking?!

FFFC: I had a dream featuring an ex sometime last week, and now he will not stop popping into my head. We dated off and on from 2005-2010 (I was 14 when we started dating) and he was my first everything. He was also kind of a jerk and not very attractive and I genuinely can’t think of anything that great about him. We haven’t spoken in 8 years and aren’t social media friends - why won’t my brain just make him disappear?!

@dogmomma096 - PREGNANCY. My exes always reappear in my subconscious when I'm pregnant and it makes me furious.

*TW* *TW* *TW* In particular, when I was 22, I had a miscarriage before I even realized I was pregnant. When I told my boyfriend at the time, his response was "Oh thank God." It makes me so mad that my brain thinks of him when I'm knocked up because he sucks so incredibly much.

@peachy0709 Maybe that’s it... we had two pregnancy “scares” (I had irregular periods and didn’t know PCOS was a thing back in high school so anytime I was late I was totes KU) and once he made the comment that he would help me to “take care of it”, which I first assumed he meant raise the kid (lol we were 17), but he clarified to mean TW** that he would pay for an abortion. **END TW

Maybe I’m still mad about that comment. Damn pregnancy!

Add me to the dreaming about exes club. These pregnancy dreams have been insane and I’ve dreamed about a couple guys I used to date.

I had a dream the other night though DH left me. It was so sad and I’ve been so clingy since then lol.

We were in bed at 10. DS2 puked at 10:45 and then I could not go to sleep. I’m still up and it’s 5:20am! And Of course MH has work today! DS1 has soccer. I usually have trouble sleeping the night before school starts and before vacations but what is the reason for this??

Another “I’m a lurker” post, but I’ve def mentioned it before. Being in a weird time zone plus the sickness makes it hard. But I’m here sometimes!

And pregnancy bringing exes to the brain 🙄 ugh. Even the worst ones.

FFSC - I snore really badly while pregnant and even though I try to fix it - breathe right strips, elevate, etc, I’m secretly a little pleased that it disturbs DHs sleep bc he usually sleeps so soundly and has never had to deal with DS1 at night. I still want to cuss him out for waking me when I snore, but I’m secretly satisfied that he can’t sleep.

@aevan011 I also snore while pregnant (or at least worse than normal) and DH has been pointing it out to me and even so kindly letting some of our friends know. The other night, I had just fallen asleep and he wakes me up to let me know I’m snoring. I was so mad because I was soo tired. I reminded him we have another bedroom and that he does not need to wake me up just to tell me that

FFSC: I spent over $100 on a maternity dress today.... I know that’s obscene considering there are so many more affordable and cute options out there but I’ve had my eye on this one for a couple weeks and decided to take the plunge! I am throwing my bff’s baby shower in May and I have a wedding in June so I plan to wear it to both of those events. Normal I would feel guilty but I was annoyed with my DH for buying his friend lunch (and I’m assuming drinks by the price of the bill) so I said, “that’s fine... I’m buying an expensive dress that I want then” as if spending more money somehow makes things better 😂

Ummmm @jmesue1030 you can’t just say that and not share a link or pic so that I can enjoy dress porn and possibly make similar bad decisions! Btw I totally support all the reasons you gave and also “just because.”

FFSC I’ve bought a silly amount of maternity clothes this pregnancy considering it’s my second and I could easily survive with the clothes I have with maybe 1-2 additions for serious summertime. AND I’m waiting on Pink Blush to have a deep sale (maybe Memorial Day) so that I can get two more of their long lace dresses.

FFSC: I’ve worn only sports bras since I got pregnant. At first my boobs are sore but only for first tri, now I just don’t want to go back to regular bras 😂

@dogmomma096 I bought some nursing sports bras before DD was born - and they were so comfy that I just never bothered to go get fitted for a regular one. So I wore sports-nursing-bras for almost a year, lol. No shame!!

And @aecm @dogmomma096 I also pretty much only wore sports nursing bras the whole time I nursed DD too! I’m a difficult size (32H before this pregnancy, who knows what size I am when breastfeeding) and the one cute-ish nursing bra I got didn’t have as much stretch as the sports bras so when I got engorged it clogged me up and I wound up with mastitis, so I never bothered to find a fitted one again.

My FFMC is along the lines of @aecm & @wabash15. My toddler melted down hardcore while we were waiting at the chiropractor 2 appointments back. There was a pretty pregnant lady in there, and she was giving me SO MUCH side eye. Like really obvious. And I was handling it, not ignoring him. I even took him outside until he calmed down. The FFMC part is that in my head I was thinking, "Just wait, lady. Your time is COMING."

Everybody's kid does it eventually.
