April Symptoms

Re: April Symptoms

  • @blueskychicago12 my hair is much greasier.  I have to wash it every other day now, I usually go an extra day.  It is really annoying.

I am only 5 weeks pregnant and the bloat is insane.  I hate to change my scrubs this morning.

  • I have 1 pair of pre-pregnancy jeans that fit with my Bella band, I’ve been wearing maternity for about 2 weeks now bc of the bloat. I’ll be 8w tmrw
  • @k_mama91 I’m in maternity pants too because it is so much more comfortable!

my hair is super greasy as well it is disgusting!! thank god for dry shampoo...ugh
  • @mhamik I feel you, last week was full on like "WOW im def having symptoms", this week I feel totally normal. its making me so uneasy.
  • Ugh, 5W6D and morning sickness, and I do quite literally mean MORNING sickness. The second I stand up it's nausea off and on. Then, if I don't eat I am gagging non stop, so then I eat and of course the nausea doesn't go away, it just means that I have something to try and keep down. Blaaah. Oh, and hello cramping, round ligament pain, total exhaustion, desire of sour everything, and also wanting nothing more than to curl up and watch a sappy film because I really need to cry but I am just not someone who cries. Oh! And no matter how much I drink I don't feel hydrated. I love it though, it makes me feel confident that this is actually going to happen <3

On the happy symptom side, my "pregnancy lips" are officially here!

  • Holy nausea! I literally was fearful I was going to lose this pregnancy a few days ago because I just wasn’t “feeling” pregnant. I had to squeeze my breasts to make sure they still felt sore lol! But ever since 5 weeks 5 days I’ve had increasingly more nausea kicking in. I’m freaking out a bit that it’s just about to get way worse because I’m a teacher and have to administer our state testing in two weeks...no bathroom breaks and not sure what I’ll do if I get sick while my students are trying to test! Who else teaches and has this fear?
  • Any STM+ not have morning sickness with subsequent pregnancies?  With my first 3 pregnancies, once I started vomiting, I did daily for the duration of the pregnancies..  TW with my MP I had nausea, but never threw up.  End TW so far, I am barely nauseous, but not getting sick.
If my memory serves me correctly, I don’t think I started getting too sick really early though, so maybe it is still coming.
  • @rlbost25 "squeezing your breast to see if they are still sore" hah right there with you.. and I think my right side has always been bigger but I feel like it's already starting to feel heavier...
  • I’m right there with you ladies with feeling nauseous everyday now. It started about a week ago, I’m approaching 6w, and hasn’t stopped. Today was so bad I called off work and laid in bed until 9 am. Turned off by most foods, and I usually love to eat everything. I think I may have lost a lb or two with barely eating. Thank god for my prenatal vitamin otherwise I’d be super low on nutrients. Got some organic fruit juices and ordered a prenatal protein powder. Nipples are more erect but no pain or swelling. Exhaustion most defiantly and I’m on progesterone shots and estrogen tablets so those also add to the side effects!

  • @rlbost25, I'm a teacher, too.  I teach a self-contained special education class and I have several aides, so I am fortunate that I have someone to cover the room if I need to use the restroom.  But I can relate to the struggles of teaching while pregnant, because as a teacher you always have to be "on" and it's been hard for me to keep up my perkiness and patience in light of my constant nausea!  I also haven't told my aides yet, and it's been hard to keep it from them since we are together 6 hours a day.  I've been sneaking my saltines and ginger candy!
  • @holly321 With my first, DS, I was throwing up all the time, until I was induced. My DD I was only nauseous in the evenings and only threw up a few times. This time it's been sporadic but I also think I didn't get sick until around 8 weeks or so with first 2. Most likely it will come  :s

  • Anyone have any random spotting around 5 weeks? I read its very commmon but I need reassurance. Doc appt is next Thursday, will def mention it.
  • @ktmaesim I only had bleeding at 4 weeks, but with my son, I bled from 5-9 weeks.
  • So much cramping the last few days. I know it’s normal, but still scares me.

  • @rlbost25 yes! I am 5w5d and teach kindergarten. I do it all on my own, no aides or paras, so I'm crossing my fingers that the nausea doesn't ever get so bad that I'm throwing up in front of the kids. One of my teammates could cover me but then she will know and I'm trying to keep it under wraps until at least the end of May.

So far my nausea has only come in with strong smells. Good or bad, they all bother my tummy. It hasn't been enough for me to throw up yet but makes my stomach do some back flips. Kindergarteners are gassy creatures which has been a tough one for my nose! Ha!

I've got a little bit of round ligament pain, increasingly sore breasts, CRAZY vivid dreams every night, hunger pains (especially right before bed!) and cravings for anything sweet or salty.
  • I haven't had too many symptoms yet (or not very strong symptoms, I guess)...a few days ago I was getting nauseated, especially in the evening/middle of the night, but nothing the last two days. Super fatigued. No sore breasts, no food aversions yet, no cravings yet. I have been on the chilly side, but it's still pretty cold where I live.

I know I'll regret saying this later, but bring on the pregnancy symptoms! I wanna know everything's already with this sweet baby.  :#
  • 5w5d here. Literally feel hungover 😵. This is my third and I do not remember this. With my son I literally puked non stop from 5 weeks to delivery and lost 20 points initially, and my daughter I had MS but only actually puked a handful of times. Hungover feeling is totally new, plus basically wanting to sleep and lay in bed all day

I'm cold all the time! And I totally hear you about hoping for stronger symptoms. I don't want to test again before my first appointment on May 14th, but I'd love to know things are okay...
  • @piscesmamax3 #1 was like that, hungover every day but without the fun night. So unfair.

  • 8w 3d, and I've been having bloating, insomnia, exhaustion, hungry all the time, and blood sugar issues. I'm normally hypoglycemic and have to watch my meals to make sure they're balanced, but it seems like it's much worse since being pregnant.
