The last few weeks have been such a roller coaster. My ER was 4/3, and my RE was only able to retrieve 3 eggs. For some reason, my left ovary was sitting super high and there were blood vessels in the way, so he couldn’t safely get any from that side. I was pretty devastated. 2 ended up fertilizing and by what can only be a miracle from above, they BOTH made it to be biopsied and frozen on day 6. PGS results should be in next Wednesday, and I’m just praying the miracles continue!

@lovemygs wow what a rolletcoaster! I'm sorry to hear that you had difficulties with you retrieval! That really sucks. But it's great news that you had both of them fertilize and make it to PGS testing!

@lovemygs I'm sorry the retrieval didn't go 100% as planned. There are always so many curveballs thrown into this process. Praying for your and your embies and hope they both come back normal from testing!

Update-my retrieval will be tomorrow. A bulb in an ICSI microscope broke at my clinic so I have to go to a clinic 3 hrs away for both retrieval and transfer. I guess we gotta do what we gotta do.

Thanks ladies. The retrieval went well. I'm tired but feeling fairly well physically. I'm almost home. Such a long day. They retrieved 12 eggs.

@ACAC25 12 is great! Take it easy and rest! Yes, my second US is Monday. I’ll be 8w3d and hope to hear heartbeats. We saw them last US but didn’t hear them.

@Tulips29 thanks. Im trying to relax, I feel pretty good though to be honest. We will know for sure tomorrow when the tansfer is but we are aiming for monday.

Had my update call today. 12 eggs retrieved, 8 were mature. 5 have definitely fertilized, 2 they are monitoring. Will get another update tomorrow.

EDIT- im starting to feel super anxious. Im really hoping for 2-3 good embryos for my transfer on monday. We are hoping to tranafer 3 if possible. Last time we had 7 fertilized and only 2 made it to day 5. I hate the stress of not knowing.

I got my update today and I'm super upset.
12 eggs retrieved on wednesday. Only 8 were mature and only 5 fertilized yesterday. Today my doctor called and said only 2 are still developing. We have a 2 cell and a 5 cell embryo. They have a 5% fragmentation.
I'm just really upset. This protocol was harder and supposed to help with quality and get good embryos and that hasn't happened. The doctor keeps saying our situation isnt that bad but then I don't understand why we arent getting better results.
My transfer is now tomorrow instead of Monday. But I just feel so bummed. I feel like this cycle is already failed.

Thank you ladies, I appreciate all of your kind words and support. The transfer went well and the embryos looked good. I am feeling better today, just a big shock with the numbers yesterday. Now the dreaded tww.
