@bakerstreetboys don’t be too jealous of my area. We’ve had tornado and severe thunder storm warnings all weekend. Might have to swim to my appointment tomorrow. That said I grew up w snow and I do not miss that mess. Although we are trying to get moved to CO so I might be willing to deal w it to see mountains again!
@MrsJessS Fair enough My grandfather lives in Texas, and he has been rebuilding his house for the last year because he lost it to the floods. CO would be nice!
@bakerstreetboys the Houston stuff was insane. My husband went down w the National Guard and the pictures he took were crazy. Austin is fun! So dang much traffic. But fun
Please forgive me if this is the wrong spot for this but I am curious about experiences with Rh negative blood and pregnancy. I've done some reading on it and I think it could be an issue later in pregnancy. Is anyone Rh negative here and had a baby in the past? What was that process like? Thank you and sorry again if this is the wrong place to ask this.
@doctorcrime I'm Rh negative and I just got a rhogam shot at 28 weeks and then I got it again after delivery because my DD was positive. Do you know what YH is? If he's negative also I'm not even sure if you still get the rhogam but probably would just to be safe. If you ever have any spotting or bleeding anytime during pregnancy you will also get the rhogam.

He is Rh positive. Also, love the avatar. Go green! (i went to MSU. )
I started a new page in my coloring book. I love to color to relax. I used to play video games but with my toddler it's been too hard. She knows when she's being ignored. But I can color alongside her and she feels included.
Here's what I've done so far.

Happy Monday ladies! so my appointment today was literally just getting a speech from an RN, bloodwork, and urine sample. So that was anticlimactic. I still have concerns about the bleeding I had so I’m probably going to call the number they gave me for the triage nurse and see what she says. I’m a little frustrated because I was hoping to get some reassurance today
ETA: Triage nurse has me scheduled for more bloodwork and another appointment Thursday!
PSA, check your wipes boxes and diaper containers.
HUGE SPIDER in my daughter's baby wipes box just now, before a diaper change. I killed it but imagine if it waited until I was mid poo wipe to show up!!!

I've had a couple of people post on my wall when I think they actually meant to post in the intro thread. If you ladies are reading this, please post on the board so everyone can read it
My dog was outside on her runner this morning ( she is a beagle, she will wander.). She was being quiet, so content, so I was in no hurry to get her. But when I went to get her, she was gone! I found her after a few minutes wandering in the neighbors yard.
@holly321@sunshineandlemons I’m also a hound mama 😊 we have 3 bloodhounds (2,1,8 mos) and the struggle of not being able to just let them outside alone is real!
@holly321@Megz1902 I have a German Shepherd mix that can jump part of our fence if she wants. She usually doesn't, and when she does she usually doesn't go far, but still makes me nervous. We're in the process of replacing that fence with privacy fence so hoping that'll keep her in.
She scared me so much the other day. She was playing with the neighbor's dog and got seriously injured by coming down on a stick which punctured her skin. I was a wreck (thanks, hormones) driving her across town to our vet who luckily was still open. She ended up getting staples and has to wear a cone for 10 days.
@nothingbuttherain your poor pup! Fortunately the vet was open. Hope she heals well.
My dog used to bolt any time she could get out of the fence, she seemed to find me chasing her amusing. We moved a few months ago, and are still doing renovations to the yard that will involve regrading, so we haven’t fenced it in yet, so she for now is stuck with the runner. Now that she is getting older I can have her in the yard with me for a bit without it or a leash.
@SpongeWorthy it does. I will admit I have been pretty silent all week, but pgal brain hit me really hard around Tuesday. Once I hopefully get a little reassurance with betas today, I will start to want to be more active.
@holly321 I was wondering if maybe our board is a lot of PGAL folks who are nervous about participating. I hope it picks up soon. And GL with your betas! Keep us updated 🤞

@spongeworthy@holly321 I was thinking it’s pretty quiet (at least compared to the last BMB I was on). I know I’m still a bit tentative, it’s so early and I’ll probably feel a little better after ultrasound confirmation. Damn PGAL brain, I know too much...
I think it’s a combo of PGAL and how early everyone is. I know for me I’ll feel so much better after our second US and I get to make sure the babies are still there and healthy
@SpongeWorthy I was thinking the same thing...pretty much anyone due in December should know by now. Like other ladies have said, for me, PGAL hits pretty hard some days. I've joined way too many BMB only to leave them. Hopefully we all feel more comfortable posting soon!
That makes sense. I get guarding your heart against loss. With my last BMB I was towards the end of the month and it was busy by the time I joined. I don’t mind talking with you ladies, but I thought there would be more!

I agree. I was wondering if Dec was just a slow month? Like if people were planning to avoid a holiday baby?! (I say all of this like it’s a business transaction and we just pick when it’s convenient, which I know is not how it works!!!)
@anniemarie887 I could see people trying to time life that way. Like teachers may try to time their baby in the summer, etc. I wish it was all so easy! After three years on this journey, I’m pretty excited about the idea of having the best early Christmas present ever!
@anniemarie887 my phlebotomist told me that IVF is really slow in February and March because people don't want holiday babies. But they are really busy in November, which seems odd to me.

Interestingly my paternal grandmother had this issue in the days before Rhogam and my dad had to have a transfusion at birth.
