What number are you trying for? #2

    Month/Cycle? 3/3

WTO/TWW? I think I am in the TWW- need a couple more temps to confirm

    Ages of other child(ren)? 2

Any thoughts about this cycle? Even though we had one mishap over the weekend we still were able to have good timing around the positive opk...still trying not to get too optimistic.

Any questions? DD has had a cough for the past 4 days- she acts fine otherwise and I have been giving her zarbees cough syrup, baby vapor rub and having the humidifier on at night. Not really sure what else I can do to make her feel better!

Rant/Rave/Brag: Rave: The weather was so nice over the weekend- we went for a walk and it was great. DD pointed out everything she saw or heard- It's a dog, it's a bird, it's a fire truck. So adorable! Her 2 year old pictures went pretty well- looking forward to seeing the proofs in a week! Rant: DD has been randomly skipping meals sometimes- She refused to eat lunch yesterday and dinner on Saturday. I try not to worry about it because I know kids appetites can be variable but hope its not becoming a habit. She also refused her nap yesterday which sucked :(

GTKY: What is your favorite kid's clothing brand or store? I usually get DD's clothes from Carters, Old Navy or Cat & Jack (target). We have some random things from Gymboree/Janie and Jack (RIP) and Children's Place.

Well, I'm back ladies... I missed you all last week while I was at my work conference in FL and I'm so sorry I wasn't able to check in at all - but I did read up on what everyone was up to.  Quick update... Birthday/Disney/BFP trifecta was a no-go.... but I at least had a great time at Epcot celebrating my bday.... I am so happy to be home though!

What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 6/4 (AL)

WTO/TWW? WTO - Getting the visit from AF this time really really sucked and hit me, emotionally, really hard.  I'm still trying to snap out of it.

Ages of other child(ren)? 6...creepin' up on 7 in a few months

Any thoughts about this cycle? Trying to get myself pumped and positive but feeling really defeated at the moment.  I'm feeling like I'm not going to be able to give DS a sibling, or that when I am able to he'll be older and won't want one anymore.... and it stings a bit.

Any questions? If you've experienced a loss, do you tend to go by number of months TTC or cycles?  Really, just for your own mental purposes.... Just curious!

Rant/Rave/Brag: Rant: I gained a decent amount of weight from this work trip last week... ugh!  I feel so gross and weighed down.  DH and I are a doing a juice cleanse this week and I can't wait to feel like myself again.
Rave: DH came home with a cake on Thursday, the day I got home from my trip, and after dinner him and DS sang happy birthday to me.  It was a really beautiful moment for me, one of those magical moments you take a mental image of and store in your memory bank, and it made me tear up a bit.  I love them both so much, and they make me feel so special and loved right back.  It's crazy how a simple moment like that can have such an impact.

GTKY: What is your favorite kid's clothing brand or store? Hmmmm... Probably Target!

  • @Spartanrd4 Where do you put the vicks on her?  Her chest, back or her feet?  I know it sounds weird, but putting it on their feet and then covering with socks actually works for coughs and chest congestion!  Another thing you can prop her up more at night... put a pillow or folded up blanket(s) under the mattress (if you don't want a pillow in her crib/bed yet) and that helps them while they sleep.  I hope she feels better soon!  The constant change in weather is the worst!

@kpearse99 I am glad you had a great birthday! Epcot is my favorite :) I am just imagining your moment you are describing with the cake and it sounds so sweet...what a good memory for the bank for sure. And yes I put the rub on her chest and her feet. I could try and prop her more- its a struggle to keep her on the pillow all the time anyways but maybe I could put something under the mattress! Thank you for that idea.
  • @kpearse99 MH is 10 years younger than his closest sibling and they are very close. His brother was always great with him when they were kids. Try not to worry about the gap.

@Spartanrd4 I second baby vicks on the feet. It works great for my kids.

What number are you trying for? 3

    Month/Cycle? 18/10ish

    WTO/TWW? TWW

Ages of other child(ren)? DS is 4 and DD is almost 3.

Any thoughts about this cycle? We did IUI so hopefully timing was good.

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave/Brag: DS is so in love with our new bird and he does so well with him. He even helps clean the cage every day. I love this sweet, animal loving side of him.

GTKY: What is your favorite kid's clothing brand or store? I love Hudson Kids, Gap Kids and Janie and Jack. And Old Navy t-shirts for daycare.
  • Hello! I intro'd last week, I'm excited to get to know you all!

What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 0/0

    WTO/TWW? TWW, I think

Ages of child? 2 (November baby)

Any thoughts about this cycle? This is an oddball cycle for me. I'm pretty sure I ovulated a little later than usual, but of course my sleep was all off during that time frame thanks to my kid, so I wasn't able to temp consistently.

    Any questions? nope

Rant/Rave/Brag: I'm on a Whole30 right now and it is going really well. I am finally figuring out how to make meal prep work for my life. I am the only one who cooks/grocery shops.

GTKY: What is your favorite kid's clothing brand or store? I end up buying a lot used, but I like Target for clothes. Carters and Cat & Jack. Old Navy has cute stuff, but I never make it out to that part of town.

  • @m6agua Welcome!

@kpearse99 Thanks! I'm trying not to be too optimistic. But it's exciting just being off the bench and in the TTW again.
  • @kpearse99 GL on the juice cleanse. I’mg lad you had fun in Epcot- It’s my fav! It sounds like such a sweet moment with your birthday cake!

@m6agua Whole30 was tough for me! I never made it, but I did feel good while doing it.

What number are you trying for?

    Month/Cycle? 3/2

    WTO/TWW? WTO

Ages of other child(ren)? 18 months

Any thoughts about this cycle? CD9 finished letrozole on Sunday. Wondering if I'll O earlier than CD20 this time.

Any questions? Does your O date pretty much stay the same? In the past, mine had fluctuated from CD 14-CD24 (only once as late as 24, most of the time is was 18-20). It's been forever since I cycled naturally so I am curious.

Rant/Rave/Brag: We had a great weekend. Lots of March Madness to watch.

GTKY: What is your favorite kid's clothing brand or store? I did a lot of Carters when he was a baby, but now I feel we have done a lot of Old Navy lately. Some target, but everyone here shops there so all the kids are dressed almost the same!

Any thoughts about this cycle? Taking a mental break, so no thoughts? lol

    Any questions? Not right now

Rant/Rave/Brag: DD woke up on Saturday morning and said "breakfast?" as clearly as she could through her paci. She also said "Neena" for the first time, and has been singing "Up above the sky so high" from Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Her vocabulary is just taking off!

GTKY: What is your favorite kid's clothing brand or store? Carter's is our favorite brand. They are almost always long enough for her, but still pretty narrow to fit her slender build.

    Will come back for tags!
  • @flintstone-2 I've only been tracking the past 4 cycles but O day has been so far 21, 21, 23 and 20...which has been pretty similar to what my cycles were before I had my DD, I've always O'd later in my cycle. I love March Madness too!!

@marebear15 I love when DD sings, its so adorable!
  • Hi, ladies! It's my first TFAS official check-in!

@Spartanrd4 My DD is 15 mo, but some meals she hardly eats anything and she's always been a low percentile for weight and it gives me anxiety when she doesn't eat, so I get it!
@kpearse99 That sounds like a really special moment. <3 I'm so sorry about AF though.
@ruby696 FX so hard your IUI turns out to be a success!
@m6agua I'm NTNP for the moment, but I am so not looking forward to temping with all the sleep disruptions.
@flinstone-2 I also don't ovulate on my own, but when I ovulated with the help of meds it was always CD 19-21.
@marebear15 The language explosions are so fun! DD is having one right now (though she three months younger, so it's much simpler words, and no phrases).

What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 1/0

    WTO/TWW? Short version: NTNP
Long version: I had my IUD removed 3/6. I didn't ovulate on my own pre-pregnancy, so I'm just waiting to see if my cycle returns on its own for now.

Ages of other child(ren)? 15 mo

Any thoughts about this cycle? Just feels surreal to think about being pregnant again (though I don't expect it to be any time soon).

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave/Brag: Rant: Went to the dentist this morning and I have a cavity. :( I've only ever had one before and it was in a baby tooth. Womp. Rave: DD is starting to say more and more. Last week she started saying her own name, 'go,' 'cracker,' and it's just so fun as she learns!

GTKY: What is your favorite kid's clothing brand or store? Carter's, Target, Old Navy, and Gap. I rarely buy clothes though because as the first grandkid on both sides she gets tons from both grandmas. (Also I generally don't buy from Gap because I'm cheap, but the grandmas do sometimes and I love it!)

WTO/TWW? I thought there was a chance I O’d, but looks like I did not. My temps are just all over the place.

Ages of other child(ren)? 18 months

Any thoughts about this cycle? Meh. Just waiting until I go back to the OB to talk next steps.

    Any questions? Not really.

Rant/Rave/Brag: DS learned to say No this week. Previously, he said yeah to everything even though he didn’t mean it. It’s really cute, but kind of annoying. “It’s time to go to bed.” “No.” And is voice is so cute that it’s a big struggle not to laugh, which just encourages him.

GTKY: What is your favorite kid's clothing brand or store? I really like Jumping Beans at Kohl’s.

  • @Spartanrd4 My kid tends to just snack at dinner time. Unless he’s about to grow, then he eats a bunch. Kids are weird.

@kpearse99 Sorry about AF. So glad you got that moment with your family. It sounds so special. Hoping this is your cycle so you can bring home that sibling for your sweet kiddo.

@ruby696 Your son sounds so cute with the bird. Kids and animals are adorable.

@m6agua Welcome. Temping is so hard with a kid. I feel like I don’t get enough sleep to get accurate temps even when DS sleeps through the night.

@flinstone-2 I haven’t O’d naturally in a long time, but when I was on Clomid, it would range from CD14 to CD21 even tough I took Clomid the same days in each cycle.

@marebear15 Sounds like some amazing growth in the vocabulary. And the singing is so cute.

  • @Spartanrd4 - Walks are so fun at this age. They see everything! DD was barking at a dog that was at a distance and I hadn't even heard him!

@kpearse99 - I tend to go by months when I'm feeling discouraged, and cycles when I'm not. Mine are actually lining back up, but they didn't used to.
I love those magical moments that you know is a moment, so you snapshot it for your memory. Have fun with the juice cleanse!

@ruby696 - That's so sweet that your DS wants to be helpful with the new pet. Is that one of the reasons you got a bird?

@m6agua - Welcome to the club! Hopefully your stay here isn't too long. How long have you been on the Whole 30 diet? I keep on thinking about doing it, but it's so strict and if you do one cheat bite you have to basically start over. Which I totally understand why, but it's still so daunting.

    @flinstone-2 - My O is never the same. Since I started tracking, it's been 22, 18, 24, 18, 35 (the cycle I weaned), 18, 16, 16, 13.

@MJDsquared - Welcome to our group! I hope your stay is super short. I've known quite a few ladies who had trouble TTC the first one, but the 2nd one was a breeze. I think sometimes having a baby resets your hormones. Anyways, good luck!

@mercury94 - Ugh, I'm sorry that you're having another an-O. When do you go back to the OB? Do you think they'll start you on Clomid asap?
The first couple of no's are so cute! Then it becomes a struggle.🤦
  • @marebear15 I actually got the bird for me and this has been an unexpected bonus. We're joking that by the time DS is 7 or 8, the bird is going to be his.

Enjoy the language burst, it's a blast! DS and DD got to a Christian daycare and I'll hear then singing songs they learned in chapel. A 2.5 year old singing Jesus Loves Me as she falls asleep is so stinking cute.

@mercury94 Little boys have such sweet little voices. Enjoy this new phase, it's so much fun.

  • @spartanrd4 Maybe the skipping meals has to do with the cough, could she have a sore throat? Meal time is probably my hardest thing with my DD, she is so picky.

    @ruby696 FX for your IUI!

@kpearse99 My brothers are 7 & 9 years older than me, while we didn't really have a relationship growing up I am closer to my older brother as an adult.

@flinstone-2 W30 is tough but it is only temporary, I've done several and each time I learn new stuff and adjust my everyday diet. The hard part for me is actually life after W30 since there are no black and white rules and I tend to go off the deep end. Although I've improved and don't do that as much anymore. As for O date, mine is generally CD 13-15 with the occasional odd ball cycle. This current cycle I O'd on CD18 and that happened last August too.

@marebear15 It is so fun when they start talking more and you can actually make out what they say! My first W30 was back in 2014 and I've done several since. I'm currently on day 22 but plan to keep going through April and then at some point do slow re-introductions. It can be hard, but I have found ways to satisfy some cravings (while recognizing why I have it) and keep moving forward. Recently I made some baked apples with cinnamon and coconut oil topped with a nut butter and roasted cinnamon pecans. I think it was day 6 and I had a girls meal prepping day with my cousin and aunt. My cousin supplied some Kombucha mixed with pom juice for "wine", well I looked the next day and it had sugar in it. I decided not to start over. Really it's only 30 days (+re-intro) where you can't have things and that is not the end of the world.

@MJDsquared I've been temping to avoid since my daughter was born and most months my chart is terrible, but between temps and CM I can generally get a feel for when I ovulate. I hope temping goes well for you.

  • @ruby696 - Oh my heart! I love that my DD is learning all about Jesus and her favorite song is "This Little Light of Mine" with all the hand motions. Nothing is sweeter than that.

@m6agua - Maybe I should look into it again and meal prep the whole month to get a better idea of what I'm tackling.
  • @marebear15 Right? It's so much sweeter than Wheels on the Bus. 😂
  • @MJDsquared Welcome. So sorry about the cavity. It is so cute when they start talking, though. And when they suddenly understand you. It’s amazing.

@marebear15 I go back at the end of April. I think she will put me on some medication then as long as I don’t fall behind on the weight loss. Not sure if it will be Clomid or something else.

  • @MJDsquared I am sorry for the cavity! I've never had one but I have heard they are no fun- I hate the dentist!

@mercury94 Sorry for the anovulationary cycle- I hope that the OB can give you some advice soon and start a plan going forward!

  • @flinstone-2 That's so great that you guys had an awesome weekend!
I can't help much with the O question as I don't really track mine.  I do notice I get signs of O at varying days somewhere between 10-18 days into my cycle, but again... I can't confirm that.

@marebear15 gaaah I so miss the sweet and innocent sound of toddlers learning to talk!  Makes my heart melt thinking about it!  ENJOY IT as much as you can!

@MJDsquared welcome!!  I so hope you don't find yourself here too long!  I'm sorry about your cavity... I can't believe you've only had 2 in your whole life though! That's freakin' awesome and I'm super jealous haha I can't even remember how many I've had at this point!  Let me know if you have any questions about IUD removal experiences or anything like that.  I had mine removed in September and those first 2 months were a whirlwind of not knowing WTF was going on with my body.

@mercury94 I remember the cute "no" phase too!  Fast forward to an almost 7 year old saying it... and it's not so cute anymore haha

Any thoughts about this cycle? DH and I both had a bad stomach bug last week so our timing wasn’t great. Not 100% sure on O date so there’s a chance it was still ok, but trying not to get my hopes up.

    Any questions?

Rant/Rave/Brag: DD is at a stage where she loves food but she is pretty slow. It makes going out to dinner so much easier because as long as she has food, she’s good. It actually felt relaxing to go out on Saturday. Going to try to enjoy this while it lasts because I’m sure it won’t be long!

GTKY: Baby gap for sure. But only when things are pretty marked down, otherwise Carter’s and target are my go-tos.

  • @Spartanrd4  I have no more ideas other than what you have been trying but I hope your DD feels better soon.

@kpearse99 I’m sorry that you didn’t get the Disney BFP. Sounds like you had an awesome birthday anyway though

@ruby696 that’s so sweet about DS and the bird. and I’m sure seeing him like that makes cleaning the cage feel less like a chore for you so added bonus haha

@m6agua welcome! That’s awesome that you are doing whole30. I don’t think I could do it (which probably means that I should)

@flinstone-2 My O date was between day 15-17 for the 6 cycles I tracked while TTC DD. However I remember from my lurking that there was someone who had vastly different O dates and somehow she knew it was due to which side she ovulated from? I don’t remember the details but it was pretty interesting.

@marebear15 singing?? I wasn’t thinking that would happen so soon. that is so sweet. I can’t wait for that with DD.

@MJDsquared welcome! I was due with DD in December 17, was that the board you were on? Your name looks familiar. I lurked some but never got the courage to post and kind of regret it now.

@mercury94 we are still in the say yes to everything stage for the most part, but she is definitely learning that sometimes it’s funny to say no (“can mommy pick you up?” “No” *hysterical laughter*) I’m just amazed that she knows that’s funny.

  • @Spartanrd4 I hope DD's cough is better soon! We've had some luck with children's zyrtec and running the humidifier at night.
@m6agua @MJDsquared Welcome! I've done several rounds of Whole 30. It's so tough, but I always feel pretty amazing about half way through.
@marebear15 My DS is singing that right now too and it's adorable! He'll ask "Up a bubba?" when he wants to hear it. Ha!

What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 3/3

    WTO/TWW? WTO

Ages of other child(ren)? 19 months

Any thoughts about this cycle? FF is drunk and gave me dashed CH on CD8, although I usually don't O until around day 18.

    Any questions?

Rant/Rave/Brag: Rant: My lack of naps is getting tough, since I'm only getting 4ish hours a "night." But... Rave: It's only finishing touches on our kitchen now, so hopefully the project will be over soon and I can get into my normal routine of working out/napping during the day now. I'll post more pics when it's finally done!

GTKY: What is your favorite kid's clothing brand or store? Cat & Jack. Everything is so cute!

  • @bows22 - I try to enjoy each eating stage. It's awesome when they eat a lot, not so awesome when they stop. It comes in spurts. Also, my DD has been humming for awhile, but it's only recently that she started saying the words too.

@MrsVP614 - That's so cute that your DS says the same phrase that my DD says. I wonder if it's because it's the easiest for them to pronounce.
  • @bows22 the eating stages def. keep changing  :D some days DS barely eats anything and then other days he eats 2 whole pieces of chicken and tells me I make the best chicken in the whole world... I can't keep up!

  • Ah I’m so behind! I’ll try to come back later to tag.

What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 2

    WTO/TWW? TWW

Ages of other child(ren)? 11 months

Any thoughts about this cycle? We had decent timing (-2 and -1) so I’m slightly positive but I was really frustrated with the 8 days of EWCM so I’m going to do OPKs next cycle.

    Any questions?

    Rant/Rave/Brag: Rant – TW
In the last month I have heard 6 pregnancy announcements for people due in Aug and Sep. I’m not really bitter about it, it was just like come on really?! It’s giving me even more baby fever.

Rave – the weather was so nice this weekend! DH and I went on a nice long run together which we never get to do and we also went on an outside excursion with DD. I’m so ready for spring and summer.

Brag – I finally got the heavy boxes that had taken up residence in the dinning room down to the basement in preparation for family coming in town and DD’s birthday party. It was nice to get that check off my long list of things to do in the next 3 weeks.

    GTKY:
What is your favorite kid's clothing brand or store? We like Carter’s, Disney Baby, and anything at Target the most.

  • @justkeepswimming8 I am totally there with you in all the announcements- I literally know someone who is due in May, June, two in July and September  :# Like can I have some of that water you all are drinking?!
  • So much for a stressless cycle. Our family just found out about a genetic heart condition we probably all have after my youngest sister almost died from sudden cardiac death and was in the ICU for a week. She has an ICD now, and we are all getting tests done to see if we all have the same thing.
    - My mom is having an electric test on her heart this afternoon, where they place leads through a vein in her leg to her heart and shock it in different places to see how it responds. If it's a positive test, she will get her ICD tomorrow.
    - My older sister just had her stress test (a treadmill run), and tested positive for ventricular tachycardia.
    - My cardiologist just called and said I tested positive from my genetic test and wants to put an ICD in asap.
    - And last, but most definitely not least, probably the worst of my worries: My DD just had her 18 month appointment today and the ped heard a heart arrhythmia. So we are headed to the pediatric cardiologist tomorrow.
  • @marebear15 Geez, that is so much. Offering up any good karma I have for your dd that the appointment goes well tomorrow. Thinking of and hoping all the best for your family and you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
