This is a weird one... My BO has completely disappeared since I got pregnant. Not that I had a TON to begin with, but I definitely would wake up smelling a little stale some mornings or after a work out. I'm going to assume it has to do with hormones? Or maybe I'm just not smelling myself anymore? That seems hard to believe because I smell E V E R Y T H I N G else.
I'm so damn tired in the mornings that I've been averaging a shower about twice a week lately. Its just not worth the extra 20 minutes of sleep I lose... my hair stays well for days so I just clean up with some baby wipes and call it a day. My husband is so lucky
I usually pee myself (only a smidge!! I have another story for another day...🥴) at least 3x per week nowadays. Things just aren’t the same downstairs since my beautiful son ruined my vagine.
Oh pregnancy and childbirth! What a marvelous thing! 😬😉
@MsBeachNJ with you on the showering! I average twice a week too. I just feel so lazy! I also haven’t shaved in weeks. H is a saint for never saying anything 😂

@MsBeachNJ@zuuls_mom Yep, with you guys on showering. I've also given up on doing my hair. I have wavy hair, which means I need to straighten it or put it up in a bun or something. I've been rocking pony tails and just generally letting the wave rock in a not-so-glamorous way. More like an I don't care way. Haha.
Since its been winter and I've been wearing tights (thick) I have only been shaving my legs every few weeks. However, I think were in the 80s and up for good now, so... daily shaving starts tonight. Womp womp.
Also, acne and bacne. This baby is still my "beauty".
@nda_roxybabe I’m guessing you’re in the South/Southwest somewhere because it sounds like you’re having the same weather as us in SoCal. 😎 I have to start shaving my underarms everyday now too because short sleeves. Boo!
@nomangos23 Next time when you go pee, stop the flow. That’s a kegel. Replicate when you’re not peeing. I’m not 100% sure, but I don’t think it’s fantastic to do too many kegels when peeing.
@lillywonderland@dahliasanddogs I started snissing a few weeks ago too, and I don't even have the excuse of labor/a vaginal delivery ruining my vagine. And on the topic of our ladybits, @supermom34482 yes. I think the term "swamp crotch" was invented for pregnant ladies.
@LJMoon6 one time, a few years ago, I had this grand idea to take DH canoeing on the Concord River for Father's Day. I thought it sounded all cute and romantic. We always drive by and see couples canoeing under the bridge, yadda yadda. So, off we go. Mind you, I have never been canoeing before, and no one provided me with handy tips or a lesson or anything. So I stand up to spin around and chat with DH. Do I have a clue you're not supposed to stand in a canoe? No. Canoe flips over. Wallets sink to the bottom of the river. Phones sink to the bottom of the river. Clothes sink to the bottom of the river. Two weeks later, when a sketchy little patch of excema on H's thigh just wouldn't quit, we finally hit the PCP. Alas, ringworm. DH still talks about 'the Father's Day he asked for a card but got $3k worth of expenses and ringworm'. Whoops.
@kiddiesandkitties Oh no! That's so sad cause I'm guessing you haven't gone again since? We love kayaking and do it all summer long. It's so peaceful and relaxing. Kayaking is by far better than canoeing. I hate trying to balance the boat with someone else in it. And with kayaks you're sitting closer to the water so it's harder to tip. We like more small rivers. The bigger or more open water you have makes it hard to paddle and is super tiring. I'd rather just have a small river taking me with it's current. I'm sad I probably wont get to do any kayaking this summer. I've had ringworm once when I was little. But I do get eczema and that's what I thought it was at first. I've been applying prescription strength anti-fungal cream to it for 2 weeks now and it's still not disappearing. I'll definitely be talking to my doctor about it at my next appointment. I read that it's common to get eczema flares and have ringworm and other dermal issues while pregnant... who knows if it's true but I'm going with it lol.

@lillywonderland HAHA! It was the middle of summer! I wanted to get a tan as a side-bonus of the adventure, so we were canoeing in swimwear! The double whammy was that the little boat house gets SUPER busy in the summer, and is in the middle of a residential area, so you have to park in random side of the road parking spots pretty far away. We had to walk a solid mile back to the car in wet bathing suits and no shoes. Fail.
@LJMoon6 DH and I love kayaking too! I am hoping we can still do a bit in the early part of summer! DH will have to load, unload and haul the kayaks all by himself though... haha
nomangos23 I am having the opposite problem. I feel like my BO is so much worse now! And it's not even hot out yet...
On the kayaking note, my company has an off-site meeting in Scottsdale at the end of April and you have to choose an activity for one afternoon. Most of the choices were pregnancy no-no's (ATV-ing, for example) or golfing (I'm abysmal) so I opted for Stand Up Paddle Boarding. I'm so excited to do it! I've done it a few times, so I don't think I'll have any issues doing it with a bump.
@nomangos23 I can never remember to do kegels with the frequency suggested, even though I need to for a ton of reasons - starting with peeing a little when throwing up, like a dozen times now! Here's a link to the Mayo Clinic how to, which matches the instructions from my OB postpartum, if it helps at all
@kaceyallan It's not necessarily a dangerous activity but the river we like to go down the most has some rapids and tricky spots. Almost every time someone get thrown out of their kayak. I'll have to ask my OB about this. Hopefully we can still do it for a little while into the summer.

@LJMoon6 We like to go on our river here too. It has a strong current, but otherwise is very safe. My issue will be fitting in the kayak comfortably, and getting in and out of it, I think. We typically launch from a dock, but might have to find a spot on land and just push ourselves in so I can get in and out safely. That, or we do a bit of travelling to get to a lake, which would be easier for me.
Here’s a good one. As I was just changing for bed I noticed in the mirror that my butt cheek looked all bruised. Weird. I called the husband up to tell me what’s going on back there... turns out the new black dress I wore to work today transferred dye all over my pale ass
On Sunday I asked hubby to bring my laundry basket to the basement. He exclaimed "wow, you have a loooooot of dirty clothes this week!" and I replied, "Well, that's what happens when you've pissed, puked, or bled on just about every outfit you've worn in the last week!" So glad he loves me...
I’m with all y’all who aren’t showering as much but are peeing themselves more 😆 Thank goodness for microfiber cloths lol. I’ve always had a weak bladder since I was young, but boy does pregnancy make it worse!
@cammie0526 same! The other morning I tried going back to sleep so I could keep dreaming 🤣 I mean I’ve been having a lot of vivid nightmares too, so when I finally had a romantic “Mr. Darcy” dream - I wanted to sleep until noon! Haha! Do we have a dream thread? I think that would be a fun one! I remember when I was pregnant with my DD, I dreamt that I birthed a litter of puppies from my thigh!
@cheshyre319 the hemorrhoids suuuuuck! I don't remember them starting this early with DS (although now that I think about it, I don't think they ever fully went away) and I am dreading third tri because of it!

I'm over here wincing and feeling sorry for all of you mamas with the 'rhoids! By some miracle, I haven't gotten any so far but I know there's still plenty of time! I guess my TMI to add would be that I had to have a lovely little surgery called a sphincterotomy to help with an anal fissure (worse than hemorrhoids on the pain scale). So delightful. The best part is whenever doctors ask me about my surgical history, I have to mumble the word sphincterotomy to them. I can't even hide it in a list of other procedures because it's the only surgery I've ever had lol.
@themadcamel OMG! Not to laugh, but just the word sphincterectomy is funny. I'm sure the actual procedure is much less so. Also, I made it out of pregnancy #1 with no roids, so it's possible. Just keep eating your prunes
edit because I wrote "sphincterectomy" not what you wrote and a) I'm an idiot and b) a sphincter removal surgery would be a really terrible thing.
