Soooo annoyed. Lousy rainy day and of course that's the day we have a gas leak in our building at work 😤 Sitting in my car waiting for the gas company to do their checks and give us a thumbs up to return. I shouldn't complain too much as I'm still on the clock, but I did have a crap load of work to do.

@jenferlee82 I'm so sorry you're feeling so miserable! Totally agreeing with PP's to call the doc for some meds and I have a couple of girlfriends that told me last time around they were at their sickest around the 11 to 12 week stretch too, but it did get better shortly after that. Hoping you feel some relief soon!

Thank you ladies so much for the kind words and encouragement! I did speak to the nurse at my OB's office - they want me to try Unisom (half dose) and B6 first, but they are also calling in Diclegis as back up. She wants me to go to the clinic for a flu test though just in case, since I didn't have symptoms this severe until this week.

Oh and not sure if I'm the only one who didn't know this, but she said that the unisom/B6 combo is essentially the same thing as the prescription, basically just a higher dosage in the prescription. And the prescription is apparently not cheap, so she said to try that before filling the script because it should work as well and be a fraction of the cost. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else experiences this, because I had no clue!

I came to warn you of this then saw this post 🙈 it may knock you out. Even a half dose of unisom made we groggy all day when taken at night.

The voice thing is what got me hooked on the story to begin with! Who does that? And like, HOW?? What a commitment. Anyway, after listening to the podcast I am just shocked at how long she got away with such deception. I get it for a couple years maybe, but 12+. Insane! I definitely want to see the documentary and I hope someone in Hollywood is paying attention so we can see a movie about it soon, too. I'm seeing an angry Katherine Heigl as Elizabeth.
@junebabyh and @jenferlee82, I recommend the 20/20 episode. Hearing some of her former teachers talk about her you can tell how much they loathed her the whole time. I kind of had to laugh.
Edit: Regarding her voice, I am a vocalist and can't imagine someone doing that to their voice long-term. I'd be surprised if she didn't/doesn't end up with vocal damage.

@steminist, if you don't have dinner plans tonight in Chicago, might I suggest a beef and cheddar croissant from Portillos. I had two when I was there for about 24 hours recently, and it was so worth it. Or a salad from Maggianos. They have the BEST salad. Omg.
@galentine That sounds SO amazing, but I have to stay away from dairy. But, there is a great Middle Eastern deli type place right next to the hotel. I went there last time I was up and am super excited to go back tonight. Makes up for having to avoid the gooey, cheesy goodness!

After my doctors appointment at 1 today I didn’t go back to work. Me and DH went and had a nice lunch at a new restaurant. We came home and I took a 45 minute nap on the hammock. Then I played around in the garden for a bit and now we are hanging out on the front porch swings. 😊 It’s a beautiful 75 degrees right now!! Ahhh! I love spring!!

I think it was tragic. When 5 returned, he asked Vanya “was it bad?” to which she replied “yes.” 🤷🏼♀️ My guess is he died on a mission from his father.
I saw an internet theory that Klaus was involved and that’s why he always hangs around Klaus, but it doesn’t make sense to me. He looks normal, but when Klaus saw the other dead people and used them against their killers, they were depicted as physically damaged 🤷🏼♀️

@cmbt2 I loved Umbrella Academy! So good!! I’m not usually that into the super hero genre, but this was different. I can’t wait for the next season (and hopefully more after that). I feel like there’s potential for so many good story lines.

Oh man just catching up - I loooooove Portillo's! My brother lives in Chicago and last year they couldn't make it home for Christmas (my SIL is from Brazil and they went there instead - guess it sounded better than Iowa). So they sent us Portillo's! It was amazing; a big box of frozen Italian beef and sausage, hogies, gravy mix, and hot and sweet peppers. You just cook it all up and BOOM, Portillo's in Iowa!
Hi all! Sorry I have not been around AT ALL for a few weeks. a month maybe? I'm just feeling so scattered and unmotivated. Plus I started a new job and I'm just trying to get my self settled again! Hopefully I'll be around more often. No big news here -- I have a scan and my genetic testing next week which I'm both excited and nervous for!
