Ugh... on an upside, it only took me 45 minutes to get home yesterday and I felt so free! We also got new neighbors this weekend and it has been quiet... so that’s a plus!

R/R: Just got a nice stack of work on my desk! It's been slow since Christmas, so I hope this is the start of our busy time. I need something to take my mind off TTC. It's consuming my life.
Edit to add rant:
I was talking with my husband's cousin at church yesterday, *TW* whom I know had to use Clomid for 2 out of her 3 kids *End TW*, and we got on the topic of fertility which I've been very open about. I told her that we were approaching 12 months, and that I didn't know what our next steps were going to be. She said, "Your OB can just give you a pill." And I answer that my problem isn't that I'm not ovulating, but probably because my luteal phase is too short. She gives me a blank stare. So I explain how I track and do temping and my LP has been short over the last 10 cycles. She responds, "Oh you're one of those crazy ladies on the mom forums." Ouch. Sorry for wanting to bond over something I thought we might have in common. I never thought I'd be called crazy for understanding my own body.
CS/Q: Not yet, will probably start temping around CD10. Minimal effort.
@marebear15 damn that cousin! I can't believe they would say something like that. It's amazing how many people can't see past their own situations. Ugh, I'm mad for you!

@MrsVP614 what are you doing to your kitchen? We like home improvement pics around here
@inthewoods23 ugh I feel you on the cold. Sorry to hear you're sick too. You should definitely stay home if you're not feeling any better!
@ruby696 have fun with your colleagues! And a short day = awesome!
@marebear15 wow a big WTF to YH's cousin. How'd she even know she needed Clomid if she wasn't tracking her cycles? Excuse you for being informed on your body and wanting to bond with others doing the same thing. *eye roll* also, I understand TTC consuming your life. I wish I could tell you how to make it stop, but so far nothing has really worked for me in the last 9 or so months- not for more than an hour or two, anyway.

And right! I love being informed about my body. At one time I did think it was a bit much to be temping and checking CP and all, but it was more like I was in awe of those who did it and thought that was way to much work.
@b_1029 - Apparently this cousin was peeing on OPKs and could never get a positive. So her OB prescribed her Clomid and voila! So now she thinks that's all infertility is.

R/R: I'm so tired today. I just got back from my baseline appointment for the IUI so just waiting on bloodwork to get the go ahead to move forward. I talked with the doctor about being more aggressive with this one so the plan is to use the trigger injection instead of relying on opks and then doing back to back IUI's after the injection to try and get the timing just right. Volunteering at the library went awesome. I put on my application that I was doing it because I've been considering getting my masters in library science and wanted to get some experience and see what it was like to work in the library and the manager told me she would have me do a lot more logistical stuff since that's my goal instead of just shelving books all day. Candytopia was fun but maybe not worth the price I paid for it. I did get a lot of cute photos so that was nice.
CS/Q: not yet.
@holly321: sorry you're down right now. *hugs*
@ruby696: yay, early day!! And Ialso did a quick info session for my DH, and he was like, Wow. That's pretty cool.

R/R: I have a lot today. I've been in a funk in a major way and it's raging out of me today, especially because I'm sick. My current rant is that (*TW*) my manager is complaining about "the joys of motherhood" as she does fairly often. It always rubs me the wrong way. I guess it's easy to complain about your kids constantly when you conceived them easily and treat them like they're knats (seriously the way she talks to them while we're in meetings is really annoying). I know it's easy for me to say don't complain, I'm sure I will one day, but she knows what I'm going through and really....just consider your audience. (end *TW*)
trying really hard to think of a rave to counteract all my angry/bitter thoughts today... the sun is shining and it's supposed to be in the 50's here today, so at least there's that!
CS/Q: got an almost +OPK last night (it looked + to me, but FF says there was a difference so who knows) so I assume I'll get a + today.
@b_1029 I'm sorry you have to listen to that. Maybe an "at least you have kids," comment would make a point. Not sure if you have the kind of relationship with your manager where you could say that. Hugs.
@b_1029 our weather is the same today and I'm am so happy about it! I hope the weather gets you out of your funk. Maybe just respond to your manager with a "could you not??" Or a "that's an insensitive thing to say to me" 🤷 it's so hard to be direct though!

@MrsVP614 I hate being forced to eat out all the time! You always think it won't be so bad, but then... it gets old so fast.
@inthewoods23 Noooooo get wellll sooooon!
@marebear15 Oooo I would have gotten all snappy w/ someone being that rude-- The only group I call "crazy" like that are "crazy apocalypse people" who have, like, bunkers in their basement and tons of survival/food supplies (really hoping you are not also one of these survival nerds. If so, I am cancelled. [Maybe I make fun of them bc I secretly envy them?]) Anyway, I agree with @ruby696-- how does KNOWING MORE make one crazy? So aggravating.
@ruby696 LOL at "too many things" & YAY for leaving early.
@littleredm Oooh yay I love your possible library future.
@b_1029 I am always trying to think of a rave equal to my rants haha, so hard! I'm sorry you're having a particularly rough patch--I had a really bad one yesterday. I hope you get that +OPK if it's convenient/makes sense for it to come today!

I've been on and off panicking about being jobless come graduation. (I'd be adjuncting, which is--like working super hard for barely any pay, but I'll need to be doing *something*.) Also, AF seems back to "normal," which I am taking as a good sign.

@marebear15 How incredibly rude and insensitive of YH’s cousin. It amazes me how ignorant people are when it comes to fertility/their bodies. Hope you are able to find some ways to cope with the TTC stress.
@littleredm FX this IUI does it! Candytopia sounds like so much fun! That’s great that you are enjoying volunteering at the library and it may help you reach your goals.
@lcking82 Hope you have a lovely day!
@b_1029 Yay for sunshine! Sorry about your manager. People that have never struggled with TTC will just never get how their words may impact people around them. Sorry you have to hear that. It’s frustrating when you’d give anything to have what she’s complaining about.

I was really hesitant because she’s in a different place in her life and I wasn’t sure she would get it. She was very supportive and said she’s always here for me if I need to talk. Of course, she told me in the most loving way that maybe I need to relax and it will happen- which we all know isn’t helpful. But her heart was in the right place and I know she was trying to help. @littleredm - That's great that the library is not only letting you volunteer but also do more of the high level stuff.
@lcking82 - I prefer "lovin'" to "HIO" any day!
@b_1029 - After she called me crazy, I let her dream in that wonderful land of puppies and rainbows. Where a pill gets you pregnant.
@kagesstarshroom - Lol no I'm not a crazy bunker in my basement person, but we do have an entire storage tote filled with hurricane supplies. Mostly so that we don't have to brave the stores every time there's a hurricane in the Gulf.
@misshelen86 - That's awesome that you were able to talk to your BFF about TTC. And out of all the least helpful pieces of advice, the "relax" one is the one that doesn't bother me much, idk about you.

@marebear15 What a jerk. You’d think she’d understand the struggle and be a little more careful with her words.... AFM, I didn’t
meet the neighbors yet. I heard a small voice on Saturday and saw a woman unloading her trunk. Many of our neighbors are super old and there aren’t many families in the immediate area since it’s a busy road.
@brookert615 What’s up with your CD confusion? Lots of spotting? I know I missed something!

@littleredm Medicated cycles will throw off your BBT, especially the trigger shot. A lot of women stop temping while doing IUI and IVF because it's pretty much pointless. I didn't listen for part of our IUIs and drove myself crazy. When my IVF RE told me to throw my BBT away and to never mention charting to him, it made my heart happy.

@b_1029 We had a pipe burst about 7 weeks ago, and it's been a long process to get it all renovated. Pics in spoilers! New countertops and sink are supposed to go in today, finally! It's also completely normal to feel that way about your coworker. One of mine loves to tell everyone she conceived on the first night of her honeymoon and I think it's so icky to talk about.
@brookert615 Congrats on the weight loss!
