Any thoughts about this cycle? AF came yesterday after a short LP (7/8 days) and I was crushed.
Any questions? Any tips on lengthening LP or if that's just a fact of cycles regulating again? I know others on this thread have had some issues too. I know I've done flax and vitamin b6 in the past. Going to start those today.
Rant/Rave/Brag: I guess my rant is my rave. I'm glad I have my first AF in over two years and that definitely means I O'd but I wish I could have at least had a long enough LP not to have something else to worry about.
GTKY: You've got 30 min to yourself in the middle of the day and you don't have to be anywhere or do anything productive during this time. What do you do to fill it? I'm really good at zoning out on the interwebs and reading mindless celebrity gossip, so that'd probably be in. While having a bravo show on in the background..

Any thoughts about this cycle? My hopes are up pretty high, and that doesn't make AF feel any worse, so I might as well be hopeful (:
Any questions: any recommendations for toddler sunglasses?
R/R/Brag: DD is such a sweetie. Yesterday I sneezed from another room and she came running in and said "Are you okay, Mommy Baby?" and started rubbing my leg lol
GTKY: I would like to say some sort of exercise YouTube video, but lately just sitting on my butt and watching TV. Probably while knitting.

Any thoughts about this cycle? My anxiety is ramped up again. I’m really hoping this cycle is the one because I’m weaning DS before he’s ready to get my hormones to normalize and he’s so upset. He has been doing better at bedtime, but crying at daycare drop off because he wants milk. Being sick for a week has really put me behind my work and I feel like I can’t catch up with my current energy level.
Any questions? Any natural ways to decrease anxiety? I’m already taking magnesium and don’t have time for meditation. I work with spa music on.
Rant/Rave/Brag: Only $57 to go before my last project of the year is funded. 33 days until spring break!

Fully weaning and hoping that helps. It ticks me off that some people get pregnant while BF and my body just won’t seem to allow me to be one of them.... but I know I’m lucky to have this problem. It’s just really adding to a lot of the internal conflicts I’m having now.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Nope. We didn’t make an effort so we could move forward with further testing without having to question if there was a possibility
Any questions? Kind of a weird question but maybe someone has a good idea. I need a new daily bag, something that isn’t a diaper bag but also something that can hold toddler things, like a toy snacks cup etc. I’ve been using a sling bag that I love because it keeps me hands free but it needs to be updated. I also want something cute but my normal purses just aren’t working. I’m constantly having to readjust and it makes me crazy.
Rant/Rave/Brag: I think I’ve said it before, but I am really happy with how this discipline class we are taking is going. It’s really made a difference.
GTKY: You've got 30 min to yourself in the middle of the day and you don't have to be anywhere or do anything productive during this time. What do you do to fill it? Probably eating something I don’t want ds to have and watching a bravo show.
@jennifer_louise that is too cute about dd. Ds always asks if im ok every time I make a sound out of the norm haha. For sunglasses we just got
him some from children’s place and they’ve held up well. He only wears them when he wants though.
@flinstone-2 sorry about your short lp this cycle. Hopefully it’s starts regulating soon!

WTO/TWW? WTO (FW at the moment)
Ages of other child(ren)? 11 months (for only 20 more days :’( )
Any thoughts about this cycle? Eh okay I’m pretty sure I’m at the tail end of FW at the moment which is a whole week earlier than my previous 4 cycles. If I O today, we would have missed O-1 and O because of DH work travel but we BDd a lot before that.
Any questions?
Rant/Rave/Brag: Rant – it seems DD is no longer interested in being fed food so buy buy purees I guess. It had to happen anyway but this means I need to provide more baby friendly food which means DH and I need to eat less fast food which means I need to start cooking more. Sigh.
Rave – DD and I went to a kid friendly pool at a rec center with my SIL and nephew and she had so much fun it was so adorable. She loves the pool. I’m going to start bringing her to this one more even though we have a membership to the Y because the Y only has a lap pool.
Brag – last week when it was in the high 60s, I took DD outside to play. She’s not walking yet so I was a bit hesitant about letting her crawl in grass and on the sidewalk but I just let her roam and she loved it. I got to know a bunch of the moms on the street which I hadn’t had the opportunity to yet. It was nice connecting with new people.
GTKY: You've got 30 min to yourself in the middle of the day and you don't have to be anywhere or do anything productive during this time. What do you do to fill it? TV and internet
@flinstone-2 – ugh sorry for AF and the short LP but yay for O! FX it’ll get longer as you have more cycles.
@jennifer_louise – that is so cute about your DD soothing you after you sneezed. Mine cries or gives me a how-dare-you look after I sneeze.
@nytino24 – I’m feeling the same way about weaning. I feel a tad guilty that I want to wean her before she is possibly ready so that we can have another baby. But really it was my plan to wean her around 1 even before we decided to try again. I just need my freedom and body back for a little bit. I don’t have any tips on decreasing anxiety sorry.

Any thoughts about this cycle? I am feeling optimistic about this cycle with our chances to have good timing...DH isn't going to be out of town for work at all during the FW unlike the previous 2 cycles so this is awesome!
Any questions?
Rant/Rave/Brag: Rave: DD is just the cutest- she has become more affectionate lately, asking for hugs and kisses. She sat in a booster chair for the first time at a restaurant the other day! She is getting her two year old pictures taken this weekend and I really hope it goes well. Rant: I really wish winter would end soon, running out of ideas of indoor activities for us to do together!
GTKY: You've got 30 min to yourself in the middle of the day and you don't have to be anywhere or do anything productive during this time. What do you do to fill it? I am usually listening to a true crime podcast of some sort or watching Youtube videos about Game of thrones theories, predictions etc.
@jennifer_louise - Your DD is so cute! "Mommy baby" lol. I have a good pair of sunglasses for DD, but my MIL bought them so I have no idea where they are from. Sorry I can't be more help!
@NYTino24 - Fair warning, the cycle I weaned DD I didn't O until CD35. The next cycle was back to normal though, so hopefully this helps your hormones!
@kbrown2385 - I just use this purse from Target, but I don't know if that has everything that you are looking for. I just sorta dump everything in.
@justkeepswimming8 - I'm glad you got to meet some moms in your area! It's nice to hang out with people that understand what you are going through. And I'm surprised that your DD loves the water! Mine hated it at that age, lol.
@Spartanrd4 - I love those booster chairs at restaurants! It's so much easier to let DD feed herself and no make a mess like the highchairs.

Any thoughts about this cycle? I'll probably get my hopes up too high since December is my birthday month. So I'm actively trying to keep them low.
Any questions?
*TW for mentioned MC* Is anyone holding off on moving their LO to a more children's bedroom setup because they don't want the nursery to be empty? I had a ton of plans in my head about moving DD into the guest bedroom and how we were going to decorate it. I was just going to wait to see what gender the baby was before I moved her out of the nursery. But now I feel like I'm in limbo. There's no point in moving her into the guest bedroom because then the nursery will be empty, but I also don't know what I'd do with the crib and changing table if we made the nursery into a "big girl" room.
Rant/Rave/Brag: DD was so sweet to DH this weekend. He caught her fever and she cuddled him all Sunday. She definitely is catching on to recognizing people's emotions.
GTKY: You've got 30 min to yourself in the middle of the day and you don't have to be anywhere or do anything productive during this time. What do you do to fill it? Either workout, watch a TV show, or bake something yummy!
@justkeepswimming8 We took DD to the community center this weekend too and put her in the indoor pool- they have a nice little kiddie area that is less than 2 ft deep and a slide. She loved it!
@flintstone-2 I have a borderline short LP (10-11 days)- I took B6 complex before to lengthen it but it never really did anything. I was able to have DD no problem with that cycle length however so not sure its something to be concerned with.
@jennifer_louise We got roshambo glasses for DD and she loves them- they are really bendable and don't break. I think you can buy them on Amazon?
@NYTino24 I hope that weaning goes as stress free as possible!
@kbrown2385 I use a backpack- its from Freshly picked. Its called the city pack?
@NYTino24 I did read one study that linked Vitamin C (750mg/day) to lengthening luteal phase. My anxiety has been horrible too! I agree I have a friend who got knocked up and didn't know it until she was 10 weeks because she was breastfeeding her son..
I'm copy/pasting info from the book No Period Now What about lengthening the luteal phase. This book has been really helpful on my Hypothalamic Amenorrhea journey.

Month/Cycle? We started trying Jan 2018.
WTO/TWW? Benched.
Ages of other child(ren)? 2.5
Any thoughts about this cycle? Benched.
Any questions? How are you all handling discussions with your very young children about "maybe baby?" We are at least a few months from coming off the bench, but my toddler keeps asking for a baby, patting my tummy and saying "Baby? Grow! Go go!" A few mom's in our play group just had babies, so a bunch of his little friends just got siblings and he is really into the idea.
On one hand - yes, soon, and I want to prepare him for the idea. On the other - no guarantees, so I don't want to make promises?
Rant/Rave/Brag: Rant- Super frustrated with my body, with healthcare providers. I was diagnosed this past week with a congenital heart defect which is almost assuredly linked to many of the health problems I have been having, and the issues I had during pregnancy and birth. Issues like - almost dying. I just wish this had been caught years ago, and fixed, and wouldn't be impacting me now, trying to grow my family and career.
GTKY: You've got 30 min to yourself in the middle of the day and you don't have to be anywhere or do anything productive during this time. What do you do to fill it?
Probably call a girlfriend to chitchat. I feel like I never get time to connect.
@marebear15 your DD is so sweet too. It's so fun to watch them learn about emotions. I'm sure your DD will have adorably sweet words when she starts talking too. (not that my DD never says anything bad, she says "go away!" way too often for my liking)
@Spartanrd4 thanks for the recommendation! I'll check them out. It's finally sunny and I love that we'll be needing sunglasses soon! 😎
@kbrown2385 I totally get not wanting DS to see you eating junk food. My DD wants to have whatever I'm eating so I have to be careful around her too. ("What's in your mouth, Mommy?). Yesterday I had a mint and she was soooo sure she wanted to try it but I told her it was spicy and she didn't believe until she spat it out of her mouth (:
@Spartanrd4 FX this cycle is it for you!
@justkeepswimming8 I'm not proud of this, but we have totally made appropriate kid dinners and then DH picks up fast food after they've gone to bed... Sorry, not trying to be an enabler..
@kbrown2385 Okay, I missed out on the discipline class you're taking. What is it called and what kind of discipline do they teach??
@NYTino24 No advice, but sorry weaning is stressful. 🙁
@jennifer_louise We've used Kids Banz, Julbos, and RIVBOS. All have been good. The RIVBOS are better for bigger toddlers I think and the others are good for smaller toddlers/babies.
@flinstone-2 I'm glad you finally got AF, but I'm sorry you're having LP issues.

Rant/Rave/Brag: DS is doing so well at t-ball! He's so fun to watch and now DD wants to play, so yay for girl sports!
GTKY: You've got 30 min to yourself in the middle of the day and you don't have to be anywhere or do anything productive during this time. What do you do to fill it? Read whatever book I've been working on.
@ruby696 - Does it bother you that the nursery is empty? I think I'm just going to wait a few more months and see what happens. It's just hard when I have all these pins saved for toddler room ideas and yet I can't stand the thought of an empty nursery.
I go on the 1st and the 8th to meet with surgeons to discuss closure options. They are hoping to do it through a vein in my leg, but might need to do open heart based on the ASD (It's in a weird location apparently) - I had heart issues all through my first pregnancy, and preterm labor issues and it makes a LOT more sense now. Apparently when I went into labor at 32 weeks is the peak pressure on your heart with this kind of defect. (They stopped it, and he was born at 38)

Rant/Rave/Brag: I'm just a mess. As a sahm, I find little else to define me other than mom (and wife), and I feel like I'm failing miserably since I can't seem to make #2 happen, and because I'm spending so much of my mental focus on ttc when I should be enjoying every moment with dd. I completely fell apart yesterday. Today, my dd left to stay with my ILs for the week. I haven't (eta: ever) been without her for more than 24 hours. I already miss her and regret agreeing to it. The timing is a little rough, especially since mh can't take off this week, but it'll allow me to go to my first RE appointment on Wednesday, which also just churns my stomach to think about.
GTKY: You've got 30 min to yourself in the middle of the day and you don't have to be anywhere or do anything productive during this time. What do you do to fill it? Go for a walk if it's not terrible outside.
@flinstone-2 Sorry about the short LP, but so glad you got an O confirmation. Maybe you can contact your doctor about it to get some help or peace of mind.
@jennifer_louise Highly recommend dollar tree sunglasses. They are priced right. Your dd is such a sweetie! BTW, I am hoping so hard for you!!!
@NYTino24 Glad to hear that you're well enough to be back at work, but that always sucks feeling so behind after having a rough time. I wish I had ideas on how to get rid of stress. I can make the most benign situations feel stressful. Best solution I've found is exercise, but it can be stressful finding time for it. Ugh, I hope you get some unexpected good news to give you a boost.
@kbrown2385 Sorry, I don't have any good suggestions on a bag. Going to the reception on Saturday, I was smart enough to bring a pair of flats to switch into, but for some reason, I had a brain fart and put them in a plastic grocery bag. We get to the event, and I realize that I could have put them in a normal handbag so that I wouldn't have to leave them in a car. Sometimes I'm not sure I ever really became an adult.
@justkeepswimming8 Wandering around in some sunshine and meeting neighbors is the best! I love having dd meeting other little ones!
@Spartanrd4 My 2 yo dd is getting more affectionate now too! The other weekend, at the zoo, she started kissing the random animal-shaped see-saws and playground structures. I told her. "Stop smooching everybody" which she thought was hilarious, so she kept doing it, while shouting "Stop smooching eddybody!!" I've started getting spontaneous hugs at my knees now too. I love this age!
@marebear15 I'm not moving DD until we have a need to move her. Just having dd away this week makes me sad to see an empty room. It's hard enough for me to pack up clothes that she's outgrown, so nopety-nope-nope to switching rooms any time soon. I've seen many people not excited for December as a birth month, so it's nice to see someone who likes it, but I hear you on the cautious optimism.
@ruby696 Ages where kids can play sports sound fun! Mh has no athletic aptitude, so not sure if that's a solid route for us. DD does seem to enjoy soccer atm, but I can't get her to throw a ball.
@whatsbumpinpumpkin Wow, that's crazy that they hadn't diagnosed you until now. Are there helpful medications that you can be taking? So sorry that you're dealing with that and with the fact that it had been missed previously! In regards to your question, I have no insight. My dd likes to play with baby dolls and has shown interest in others' babies, and I just kind of avoid the topic of the possibility of my having the baby. I'm not sure that she understands the concept of siblings yet, but gosh, that's a hard topic. I'm just trying to stop calling her a baby in case we ever do get pregnant.
@ruby696 I hope the IUI does the trick!
@whatsbumpinpumpkin Fingers crossed for the least invasive procedure possible. My nephew had an ASD and VSD. He did have open heart surgery, but he’s doing much better now!
@MrsJessS I would be upset, too. It’s a good thing a new one will take its place. Is it big enough to need bonding?
@begging4abump Fx for a good appointment and that the time without YD goes fast!!

Any questions? What do your kids have for breakfast during the week? DD has oatmeal every day (she doesn’t like to drink a lot of milk so this is my way to get some in her) and then either scrambled eggs or PB toast. I think she’s probably going to get tired of this eventually?
Rant/Rave/Brag: We had no real plans this weekend and it was so nice to just relax for once.
GTKY: Watch one of the many things I have saved in our DVR. Someday I will watch Rent live from a few weeks (months?) ago haha
@flinstone-2 I’m glad your long cycle limbo is over! hopefully this cycle brings you more answers and a longer LP
@jennifer_louise @Spartanrd4 I was going to mention roshambo too. I saw an ad on Facebook and ordered the sample pack where you can try them on for sizing. I mignt get myself a matching pair with the thought that DD might not steal mine constantly if hers look the same?? Wishful thinking maybe
@NYTino24 I have found that reading a little bit every night has helped with anxiety, it helps my brain focus on something other than the 1 million other things I’m thinking about all day
@kbrown2385 I’m glad the discipline plan is working for you. I am dreading that part of parenting.
@justkeepswimming8 I had similar feelings when we stopped purées. Will she eat pouches? We use them as a last resort but sometimes they are a lifesaver
@marebear15 We moved when DD was 6 months old and we made one of the bigger rooms in our new house her room so that we wouldn’t have to move her again. But, if we were still in our old house I agree it would have been hard to see her empty room without being able to prepare it for a new baby.
@whatsbumpinpumpkin I am so, so sorry you are dealing with that but I’m glad they finally caught it. Anything with the heart is scary though.
@MrsJessS congrats on almost being done at work! I’m sorry if I missed this, are you going to be a SAHM?
@ruby696 I actually think the piggy bank transfer idea is genius! have they hit each other since?
@begging4abump I’m sorry about CD1. Is it an option to go get DD later in the week if you are still missing her?

Any thoughts about this cycle? It would be a miracle. Our timing was horrible due to a sick kid and me being out of town for a bridal shower. I'm just hoping AF doesn't wait to show up and we can keep on truckin'. It stinks that we have to wait so long in between being able to try again.
Any questions? Not at the moment
Rant/Rave/Brag: My SIL posted a memory on facebook that showed three of our kiddos (hers, my other SIL's who lives several states away, and mine) with their one year old birthday cakes. My MIL commented on the memory "Ok, it's officially time for someone located close to me to have another baby!!" Well considering my SIL's husband had a vasectomy (they have 5 kids), BIL's wife has changed a lot since they've gotten married and may not want kids anymore, which leaves us. Comments like this is why I have told my DH we will not be telling my IL's that we are trying because I know there will be pressure and speculation (we got the first time around and no we didn't tell that time either). Both my SIL's haven't had problems TTGP. DH thinks to be fair we shouldn't tell my parents either. In my family, all of my siblings have dealt with infertility on some level, so my parents knows better than to ask and pressure us.
GTKY: You've got 30 min to yourself in the middle of the day and you don't have to be anywhere or do anything productive during this time. What do you do to fill it? Fall down the phone rabbit hole sadly. I wish I was more productive with my free time.
@begging4abump I stay home too and I understand what it feels like to being so mentally wrapped up in a baby that's not even created yet! I also understand that pressure because I do stay home and I should be able to "make babies." I hope your RE appointment goes well and you can enjoy a little bit of your alone time.

@whatsbumpinpumpkin - My mom is getting a procedure through the vein in her leg (she has the same genetic condition as me). I hope you can get it done that way instead of open heart!
@MrsJessS - Whoot whoot! So glad you get to be a SAHM now!!
@begging4abump - That little nagging voice saying that you aren't everything you are supposed to be as a SAHM can be hard to shut down. But you are a SAHM for the darling child you have right now!
I know I'm in the minority about being excited for a December baby, and I'm already bracing myself for all the posts about "we weren't trying" and "we tried to skip this month" etc.
@bows22 - DD has yogurt and a slice of raisin bread every morning. Sometimes I mix it up with blueberry pancakes, banana bread, or a muffin. But she still loves it!
@spacemountaineer - I hate all the "hints" about getting pregnant again. That was actually one of the reasons I posted on social media about my miscarriage. No one brings up the topic now, which is nice.
@MrsVP614 - Lol that's also one of the reasons I'm not moving DD into the guest bedroom yet. My parents come to stay about every three months and they need that room until their rental is ready.
@MrsVP614 Hope your kitchen reno is done soon!
@spacemountaineer Ugh the pressure from family sucks- I hate those passive aggressive comments on FB!
@bows22 DD usually eats things for breakfast like cheerios, fruit, yogurt, scrambled eggs- She gets breakfast at daycare during the week but those are some of the things we eat on the weekend.
@kerco925 Losing a tooth already? wow!
@begging4abump I hope your first RE appointment goes well!
@ruby696 I have everything crossed for you for your IUI this cycle!
@MrsJessS Sorry about the chipped tooth- I would be mad at DH too!!
But seriously @begging4abump, I'm so sorry for how you feel. Although I'm not a SAHM, I feel like my job is nothing compared to being a mother and the inability to get pregnant truly gets me deep. I've had thoughts about how bearing kids is literally my only biological purpose in the world (which is a stupid thing to think in the first place) so what is even the point of me if I can't do that. **hugs**
@ruby696 I agree that's a hilarious punishment - and I don't think it's a bad parenting move at all! Trying to keep calm (without physical retaliation or screaming) is harder than I thought as a parent too. I don't think I would ever hit DD, but sometimes when she swats at me, I get a momentary urge to do it back. Then I'm like, wait, I'm the adult here and there are other options.
@NYTino24 @flinstone-2 helpful info about anxiety! Mine is tremendous right before AF, and I always assumed it was from TTC but hormones make sense. For most of the cycle I'm okay, but as it becomes longer and longer without getting KU, I feel myself descending....
@spacemountaineer Woah to your MIL's comment. Crazy how they do that. My parents are more subtle, but they definitely emphasize that they want more grandbabies by calling DD "our one and only" and other little jabs. It hurts sometimes. I'm doing everything I can over here!
@ruby696 - I like the quarter idea!
@marebear15 - I think it stinks you have to be that vulnerable for people to leave you alone about that.
@flinstone-2 - Seriously! I don't ask those questions. I wait for them to tell me.
I'm putting my rants in spoilers. There's no TW, but just easier for you to skip if you want.
update on yesterday's rant:
I do want to say that I do have a good relationship with my MIL. She's respectful of how we raise our son even if she doesn't agree with everything we are doing. I just think since no one has been forthcoming about infertility or even difficulty in having a baby in this family so they think baby making is fair game. His family is just very different from my family in that respect.
New rant
@spacemountaineer we haven’t told anyone we are TTC either. I feel like it would just open it up to even more questions/comments. I don’t need the reminder. I think this is one of the few times in life where you can do whatever you want to do and not worry about others feelings/emotions. But WTF to your MIL in your update though. I guess it sounds like she isn’t intending to be insensitive but it would really bother me too. Also I hope you feel better soon!
@marebear15 I’m glad your DD hasn’t gotten sick of the go-to breakfast yet. That makes me feel better. What kind of yogurt do you give her? I have been trying the stoneyfield whole milk pouches but she refuses
@Spartanrd4 our daycare doesn’t do breakfast until 9:30 so she needs something at home too. It makes our morning routine long! But I guess she gets the variety there so maybe it’s okay that I make the same 2 things haha.
On telling people if you are TTGP, H and I made the choice to tell people. We were very open about our struggle with DS. Including the testing and results and how long it took. A big part of my decision was long before I was even thinking about marriage or babies, I had a friend couple that struggled conceiving and used IUI. It was SO eye opening to me. That was the first couple I ever knew to have to "try". And when I was ready, yes I was hopeful, but I also dont think I had the same unrealistic expectations of it happening right away. It also helped knowing I had someone I could talk to that got it. Sorry that was so long. I know it's a really personal choice, but I also wish more people were open about their struggles so people didnt feel so alone on this journey.
What number are you trying for? 2
Month/Cycle? 2/2
WTO/TWW? TWW
Ages of other child(ren)? 8 months
Any thoughts about this cycle? I'm hopeful, but not really expectant in order to keep my hopes in check. Obviously the closer I get to AF, my hopes get higher. I've also felt more in control and not PMS-y which was also my first "sign" with DS lols. That's my BSC coming out I guess.
Any questions? I'm interested in the anxiety/hormone link and I think I want to start tracking when my anxiety is highest and if its tied to my cycle. Not really a question I guess.
Rant/Rave/Brag: busy, busy, busy at work, this is the season everything ramps up for me. But it's my week with Friday off! And we found out we get our year end bonus 4/1. Hoping it's a decent one!
We survived our first baby fever last week. He was so miserable! Now he's just a snotty mess. I've also mostly weaned him in the last month, partially by accident since I hated pumping so much. I think we are now up more in the night because of it for some makeup nursing sessions. Also could be because he was sick.
GTKY: You've got 30 min to yourself in the middle of the day and you don't have to be anywhere or do anything productive during this time. What do you do to fill it?
I would like to say workout, but let's be real - I'm obviously bumping right now
