Good morning, ladies! Half-way through the work week! 🐪🐪🐪

Month/Cycle: 8/7 (second cycle AL)

CD: 19

WAYDTGKU: Prenatal vitamins, Fertility Friend, temping, OPKs, HIO, SMEP, red raspberry leaf tea and cutting down on alcohol.

R/R: It's crunch time at school and I am racing to get everything done before grades close this week. As of now I am in pretty good shape, so I hope I won't have to spend all weekend grading. I got back to the gym yesterday which felt good after taking 3 days off.

CS/Q: Sooo...my bbt went back to normal this AM. Should I discard the super high temps from the last 2 days? I think O might be today(at least I really hope it is because having an O this late worries me). The OPK I took yesterday around noon looked pretty positive, but the one in the evening had a lighter line.

@emeraldduchess Hope you are able to stay on top of things so you don’t get stuck grading all weekend. Yay for getting back to the gym! Not sure if I’d discard the temps.. maybe give it a couple days to see how your trend is?

@misshelen86 Glad work is going smoothly!!! Hope you're able to get that HIO session in. Not more snow! Hope it ends up blowing over and not getting crappy out! I saw it in our forecast as well and it's like STAY AWAY. It's going to be 60 here today, just doesn't make sense!

@inthewoods23 Big big hugs for you my friend. I'm so sorry you're finding yourself in this position, but glad to hear you've made a decision and can move forward with that.

@emeraldduchess you might be the first teacher I know who has ever said they're pretty on top of their grading. It seems like everyone else is in a mad scramble right now. // re: your temps, I'd also leave them for now but once O is confirmed you can probably discard.
@misshelen86 hope you were able to sneak that HIO session in this morning

Add one more for the no more snow petition. It's going to be warm here the rest of the week, like +10 above freezing so I need it to melt some snowbanks so we can get the trailer out to move some stuff around next weekend.
@brookert615 ugh, AF. Even though I've come to appreciate her more than I did in my teens/20s because of what she represents for healthy fertility, she's still the worst. Hope she just sneaks out like a lamb and maybe you're off the hook this month?

R/R: Rant: I still haven't O'd. I'm so crampy and mildly uncomfortable, but my temp dropped again this morning so I hope that means O is imminent. So far this doesn't look like any of my previous charts. My body continues to mystify me.
And this isn't really a rant, but it doesn't sound super rave-y either. Since we all got nice and candid in the GTKY thread yesterday I feel like I can share this today. We had our first ever desperate "I'll do anything to get turned on" kinda night last night where it just wasn't happening for either of us so MF jokingly asked our google home to find him some porn on the tv, which turned into this hilarious 30 min deep dive into the weird shit you can find on youtube (sadly we either just don't know how to look properly or the youtube censors are just very good), then I spent another 15 mins trying to cast something from my phone onto the tv, and in the meantime MF was laughing at me too much to really get anything going. We never did manage to get anything playing on the tv but I did put on some music and we got the job done but it wasn't pretty (I guess that's my rave? lol). I am not liking this aspect of timed intercourse, we've never had to try that hard. I think we need a night off, it's too much pressure. Our timing will still be ok if we skip a day.

CS/Q: I'm so happy with my RHR this week, trying to find some inner zen. It's working. I'm sleeping better.
Also, has anyone ever heard of/used black cohosh for fertility?

@brookert615 What kind of protein shakes do you drink? I'm thinking I should try some, assuming they taste decent.

@emeraldduchess I would leave the temps at this point. You can always play with them later if you think they're messing up your post-o chart.

R/R: rave - it's supposed to be so warm here today! I'm wearing a new skirt WITHOUT TIGHTS and am going to take the dog for a long walk with DH after work. Tomorrow is supposed to be stormy all day and then the temp drops again so I need to snap out of this funk I've had going on and enjoy the day with my 2 boys.
Rant- Putting a spoiler for my long rant about my effing coworker.

I came in the office to an IM from her saying "[my husband] is on Spring Break this week and has absolutely nothing to do, so he's convinced me to stay home with him since we hardly have time together these days." I have so many things to say right now. First of all, I've been tracking her ridiculous office attendance (for myself, no other purpose than to validate my feelings of always feeling like I'm alone in the office) since the week of 1/21 and she has come into the office every day she's supposed to ONE WEEK. Second of all, you're a friggen adult - and btw you're supposed to be WORKING while you're at home, not hanging out with your husband. Third of all - welcome to being a working couple. You don't get to see each other all the time, that's life. Andplusalso, how do you not see him when you work at home EVERY F*CKING DAY?!?!? I'm pretty much done with what would be a solid Monday BF but will end it with - she stayed at home last week because she got her period... Not like millions of women around America go to work with their periods or anything. The only time that's a real excuse is when you're in like 5th grade and get your period for the 1st time and don't know wtf is going on. And sorry girl, I think it's a lot more devastating for me to get my period at this point and I still drag my ass into work. Crying at my desk when I get it during work hours, that's another story, but hey at least I'm here lol. If you're wondering my actual response to this girl (oh how I wish I could say all these things to her), I said "this is getting really old, to be honest" and she was like "what, me opting to stay at home?" I'm just not responding because I'll say something I regret and I don't want to cause a scene. My response to her was "snappy" for me.

@b_1029 Are you the only one who knows/cares this is going on?? I can't imagine feeling like it was okay for me to work from home regularly, when it's not a work from home job! I'm annoyed for you. You should message her back and tell her you're opting to work from home next month, so you'll need her to be in the office in case something comes up. 😠

@ruby696 we are the only 2 in office on our small team (within our larger team) and our manager lives in AL so she's full time work at home. My coworker definitely takes advantage and doesn't tell her when she's WFH. I won't pretend that I've never worked at home for a stupid reason just because I can, but I couldn't do it ALL the time and feel ok about it. I definitely haven't gone WEEKS without coming into the office. People definitely notice - last week I had 3 people mention, within 10 min, how I'm always the only one here. 1 was a manager on my team, the other 2 were random people from the floor haha.

I'm glad others notice and I hope it gets back to your manager. I'm all for working from home occassionally, but not all the time and not at anyone else's expense. And given her excuses, it sounds like she's not working all that hard.

@ruby696 it's hilarious and creepy what our smart devices actually listen to. our google home is all the way across our master BR so we often have to yell at her to get her to do something, yet last night we were just talking normally (or maybe even under our breath) getting cozy in bed when MF just casually said "I should ask google to play Kiki's porno stash" and next thing you know she's like "Playing Kiki's parts". He spent another 5 mins trying to get her to recognize 'porn' instead of 'part' and by that point we were just dying laughing. Then he tried looking for something dirty on netflix but I share an account with other members of my family, and while they have their own profiles, if they were to peek at our Recently Played list there's a bunch of weird shit on there now

@B_1029 it was certainly a learning experience for both of us, lol. Like apparently me just making heavy breathing sounds in his ear is much more effective than anything else we could find. I just won't ever tell him that I really only do that for the effect.....

also, your coworker makes me soooo mad. Does she actually get her work done though? I don't see how she could. That's insane. I understand WFH in bad weather but she's really pushing the envelope there. Glad other people are noticing though, I'd be sooooo snarky about it.

AFM, I noted "illness" on FF for the two days with the really high temp spike. The OPK I took around 10 was definitely positive, so hopefully O is happening today! I hope DH isn't too worn out...

I think I'm finally in a good mindset to get out of my semi-lurkdom. TTC sucks 😩 what kind of species are we that we can't guarantee conception? I don't hear anything about that in nature shows. Lame lol.

@misshelen86 ugh, snow. We have rain today which is a nice change. We're actually supposed to get up to 60 degrees tomorrow! Rain included but that will still be nice!

@ruby696 I'm a die hard but I like FighterDiet protein. I can get it on amazon, it's got great flavor, sweetened with stevia and its non-gmo to boot! My favorite flavor is the caramel! Boo, sorry about the court appearance and having to wear a suit! Maybe change so you're not super uncomfortable all day?
