  • lol @jennifer_louise @lcking82 @kbrown2385 I don't need daily but 0 or 1 during my LP plus nothing during AF makes 2-3 weeks feel really long... lol and for some, that isn't nearly long enough.

  • I fall somewhere in the middle of those two camps, but for some reason, not trying has made MH want it a lot more than usual.  I did have to turn him down the other night because dude... it's past bedtime and I haven't shaved my legs.  Initiate before 10pm, please!  I can't really think of a really good FFFC.

  • @brookert615 pretty sure MF just plays dead when he isn't in the mood. Last night he legit fell asleep on me, for a good 60 seconds, then when he woke up I was already heading to the bathroom to finish getting ready for bed and (I truly believe he didn't know he fell asleep) he was all "where you going baby?"

  • @kiki047 I’m the exact same way haha. I don’t remember the last time my BF initiated sex lol.

My FFFC is I haven’t taken my dogs for a walk for the last 2 days even though I know they really need it. In my defence I’m getting over a terrible cold still. But I could drive them to the dog park and let them run but I’m lazy.
Oh and another one! My friends getting married for the 2nd time and she told me I’m going to be a bridesmaid and I feel like I already did it once for her. I don’t want to do it again. I have no idea how to tell her though. Im also weirdly but hurt that she asked her new friend to be her maid of honour but I was never asked.

  • @kiki047 That's too funny!

Okay... I honestly am having a tough time trying to think of one today. But this might be one?

Everyone who RSVP'ed yes but no-showed to my wedding I have cut all connections with. We had almost $1000 worth of guests no-show without explanation. Only one did respond to me a few weeks after my wedding and said that the present was in the mail and it never showed... so I did the same with that person. We got second jobs to pay for our wedding (we didn't get help) so DH and I hardly saw each other because of our packed schedules and that money could've been spent on excursions during our honeymoon!

  • @brookert615
    I 100% agree with this.

  • @brookert615 That is so disrespectful!  I only had one person no-call/no-show due to being an a-hole and it was my cousin who I didn't want there to begin with, and my uncle felt so bad about it that he gave us $400.  The only other no-shows both ended up being really sick and recovering from surgery, but they told me ahead of time they couldn't make it.

  • @brookert615 No flaming from me on that one - those people absolutely deserved to be cut off. I can't even wrap my mind around that kind of rudeness.
  • @brookert615 How hard is it to call or text if it turns out you can’t make it a wedding? Rude.

  • I'm going out to launch with colleagues and know that I probably won't be hungry for dinner because of it. Which means MH will probably get stuck making himself a grilled cheese sandwich or something. I know I should feel bad, but he could go out to lunch too, so...🤷‍♀️
  • RIGHT? SO RUDE! My mom gave me a hard time to turning my back on family but I don't even feel guilty about it. I get that things come up. But personally I would at least give an explanation and send a gift. We got married two years ago and I will probably hold these grudges to the grave LOL.

  • @brookert615 Okay, I'm sorry, but the fact that family did it is even worse! At least I could see how a random "friend" might be a no-show, but there is no excuse for family to pull that crap.
  • @brookert615 dh and I did the same thing and I don’t feel the least bit sorry! We got married 8 years ago and my grudge is still holding strong haha.
  • @brookert615 OMG that is SO rude! I'm a spiteful person so I'd take those grudges to the grave with me too.

There are people that we already know can't come to our wedding so I'm not even sending them an invite, hahaha. I'd save like $20 EACH once you account for postage and everything else so pfft! Then again, we're also inviting family that we know can't/won't come because we know they'll send us a gift, lol. To be fair, our parents are the ones pushing us to do it because they've had to do the same for all their weddings so it's payback time.

  • @lcking82 I would have had absolutely no idea if someone wasn't at our ceremony, haha!  I was just focusing on trying not to pass out or throw up.

Okay, I thought of one on the wedding theme: My FFFC is I never got all of the thank you notes sent out for our wedding.  We got married, went on our honeymoon, came home, had a week to find a temporary apartment to rent in another state before we moved, moved, started 2 new jobs, and then bought a house and moved again all within 6 months, and I only got about half of the thank you notes out.  Then it got to the point where I was too embarrassed about how late they were to send the rest out and just hoped people didn't notice.  The good news is at least I got them out to all of our family members, and I got all of my bridal shower thank yous out before that, but man do I suck at doing thank you notes and I still feel a deep shame about not getting them all done after the wedding.

  • @lcking82 That's too funny about your dream! Honestly I can guarantee a lot of people showed up after our ceremony - I didn't notice! That actually reminded me of a time my mom and I showed up at the church for my cousin's wedding and no one was there. So we were like what the heck? Did we get the right date? So we called around and found out my cousin called off the wedding the same week and no one reached out to us  :D.

@kiki047 I don't blame you for not sending out the invites for the people who aren't coming! Hey - if you can get a gift you might as well go for it!

@shamrocandroll Don't feel bad about the thank you cards! We mailed ours out a week before our 1 year anniversary lol. Things get busy and time flies! I doubt people even think about "This person never sent a thank you".

  • @lcking82:  that's SUPER awkward about your cousin's wedding.  Eeek!
  • @brookert615 That's part of why I didn't send them after a certain point.  Like I felt like the chances of people remembering and being like "Grr I didn't get a thank you" were lower than the chances of people being like "Oh my god, I'm getting a thank you card a year and a half later!?"  But I have made extra sure to always send them out for everything since then!

  • @mercury94 Especially since the wedding ones with the pictures are SO EXPENSIVE!  Whenever I get them, I look at them for like 30 seconds and then I'm like "Now how long do I have to keep this before I throw it away?"  I did make sure to go around at dinner time and individually thank every person for coming that night, and I feel like that was the most important thing.

  • My FFFC is that I went out to grab dinner in a drive thru and was going to get something else I wanted from a second place, but their line was too long, so I intend to go back later when I have to pick up my husband from work.

Also, my computer is dead and tagging is a pain on my phone, so I may not tag much until I get my new charger.

+1 to the crew who is excited for a break from hio. It’s nice to see that the wide range of drives is totally normal though. I’m just glad mh and I are on the same page. 😅

We didn’t have no shows at the wedding, but mh’s cousin asked to invite his father-in-law. We said no because we had had to trim down our guest list, and hadn’t invited some ppl whom we would have loved to have had there. Mh’s aunt and mother got involved, so we extended the invitation to avoid any ill feelings. Guess who decided he couldn’t come after we handed over the final numbers? 🙄

eta: my fffc is that I have to google what fffc stands for every time this thread comes up on this forum.
  • We didn’t have no-shows, thankfully. Our wedding was here in Florida, and our families are spread out across the country. So we pretty much had to know who was coming and who wasn’t.
