Re: PgAL Checkin 3/6

  • Hi ladies!

I am 4w2days and really not having many symptoms. So it’s nice to feel good but also worrisome.

My first baby was stillborn in November 15. It was the most devastating thing I’ve experienced. I miss her every single day. She passed due to a cord accident. My next pregnancy was with my son who was born in January 17, I had an emergency csection also due to cord issues. I had miscarriage in December 18 which really caught me off guard. So this will be my 4th pregnancy.

    My first appointment is 4/1.

My favorite place I’ve traveled is either Berlin or NYC. I’ll take exploring a new city over a beach any day.

  • @Kurtni I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope we all have a healthy and boring 9 months ahead of us. ❤

How far along are you/EDD? EDD is 11/18

How are you feeling? Good. I have some normal cramping, mild nausea that is present here and there, I have had some light headedness too but nothing too bad.

If you’d like to, share your experience with pregnancy/child loss. I recently lost my baby at 15 weeks this past December. It has been one of the hardest things I have ever had to go through. I recently found out she was a girl. It has been very important for me to give her a name. Using her name is very comforting. Hearing my husband call her by her name melted my heart. It really has given me some peace.

Any upcoming appointments, milestones, loss anniversaries, etc? No appointments yet but I just called the nurse at my OB office to see what my OB wants to do for early monitoring.

Rants/Raves? I'm ready for spring/summer so I can take my kids to the pool and get outside more. It's going to warm up today so we will at least spend an hour or 2 at a park.

GTKY: What is your favorite place you have visited/traveled?  I love Disneyworld and Hawaii.

  • How far along are you/EDD? 4+3, Nov. 11

How are you feeling? Exhausted. Nervous about this one working out.

If you’d like to, share your experience with pregnancy/child loss. I've had 3 losses in the past year or so. At this point I'm willing to do anything and everything to make this happen.

Any upcoming appointments, milestones, loss anniversaries, etc? Just waiting on my second betas, havent made an appt yet just waiting on my dr to advise me on that. Around the beginning of April would have been our second pregnancy due date and if we make it to that day, this pregnancy will have surpassed our longest pregnancy so hopefully we can celebrate if that's possible.

Rants/Raves? I'm thankful for my husband for being so supportive and dealing with with my pregnancy moments lol

GTKY: What is your favorite place you have visited/traveled? Vancouver/Whistler Canada! My husband and I went there for our honeymoon. Awesome place!

  • @justaplainbagel I have already warned my husband I am going to have some crazy moments during this pregnancy so he better get ready. I'm glad your husband is being so supportive.
  • Just got an official positive today kind of early so super estimated EDD of Nov. 21.

I tested because the queasiness and food aversions were just like with my daughter. And TMI but my boobs are on fire Haha

I have a 4 year old girl and since her I've had 4 miscarriages. One at 15, almost 16 weeks where we found no heartbeat at a routine appointment. His EDD was Nov 30 2016 so this hits close to home with timing. I had another missed miscarriage when I was supposed to be 10 weeks but baby stopped growing at 5. And two early miscarriages. I am like on edge waiting for this to come crashing down around me.

In less than 3 months, we'll pass the 3rd anniversary of losing our son which was by far my most traumatic loss since it was my first loss after a relatively healthy pregnancy less than 2 years before and I was the furthest along.

I havent traveled much but I love the Williamsburg,  VA area
  • @ashcakes921 congratulations! I'm so sorry this journey has been such a difficult one for you. I hope this baby sticks and you have a healthy boring 9 months.
  • I think we should just have a monthly thread instead of weekly.
