I'm on mobile while I'm waiting for DS to fall asleep. I'll have to tag later.

Ages of other child(ren)? 2
Any thoughts about this cycle? Fx, but I dont know how excited I would be to have a baby in December or right around Thanksgiving. I have friends with December birthdays who dont like them (even as adults) because they get looked over. But I know if I skipped this month I'd wonder what would of happened if I hadn't.
Any questions? None that I can think of.
Rant/Rave/Brag: this was such a rough weekend with DS. Had a family event this weekend that was an hour and a half away. Lots of sitting. No room to run around and too cold to run around outside. It was a nightmare. I lost my cool a few times in front of ILs. Plus he napped both days which meant not going to sleep until 10-11 at night. It's been rough and we are still feeling the affects of it today.
GTKY: You're having a guest for dinner, what is your go-to recipe(s) that is sure to please everyone? Or where do you order-in from? Chicken and wild rice soup or two-timin' pasta.
@hanshotfirst77 I got glasses at 4 years old too, so I have a soft spot for kids in glasses. So cute! @dolewhipper I'm also a fan of a Sunday party, but it definitely depends on your crowd for considerations of church, travel, etc. @kpearse99 I'm the same way with TTC and my husband. He's ready for it all the time, but I can't help but always think about our timing. @NYTino24 Happy Birthday! I'm also confused about O this cycle. @spacemountaineer I've had the same thoughts about EDD. I feel selfish for even caring about it and trying to plan, but it's hard for me not to consider it at all.
What number are you trying for? 2
Month/Cycle? 2/2
WTO/TWW? WTO, I think?
Ages of other child(ren)? 18 months
Any thoughts about this cycle? This is my first temping cycle, and I haven't had a temp spike yet, despite CM indications. I O'd between day 18-20 when I got KU, and I'm on day 19, so I'm holding out. Through the week I temp with about 4 hours of sleep, so I don't know how reliable it'll be.
Any questions? Nope.
Rant/Rave/Brag: Restoration crews came to demolish our kitchen yesterday. Hoping the project goes quickly so we can have a working kitchen back soon! Brag: DS amazes me every day. He's now counting to five and getting better at his ABC's.
GTKY: You're having a guest for dinner, what is your go-to recipe(s) that is sure to please everyone? Or where do you order-in from? It depends on the time of year and who it is, but a lot of times DH will grill steaks and shrimp and I'll make sides, like potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts.
@flinstone-2 I've heard of the peanut app! I should give it a try. I get so nervous meeting new people though.
@shamrocandroll DH loves to smoke things in the summer! My favorite is when he smokes up a brisket. Yum.
@dolewhipper *TW loss* it took 7 weeks for my period to come back after my first loss. It was torture. All I wanted was for AF to come back so we could get to trying again. I ended up spending the 6th weekend in tears.
@spacemountaineer I feel the same way about having a November or December baby. We have so many birthdays in our family around that time of the year on top of the craziness of holidays. It's not ideal to have a baby that time of the year but I won't skip a month TTC so I'm leaving it in the universes hands.
AF arrived this morning right on time. Despite hating that I didnt get KU'd this cycle I'm excited that AF wasn't delayed. Trying to stay positive! What are your favorite things to do when you get AF? To cope. My go-to has always been wine but I'm trying to be healthier and not drink at home.
@MrsJessS the letting go of control part is really difficult. Hugs
@Spartanrd4 thank you for looking back for me, I really appreciate it Also, I hope you don't have to take your LO to any well visits for the next 9 months
@lcking82 something to consider! I usually work Sunday mornings so we watch the sermon on youtube that night
@dumbledoredies I'm glad you're seeing the silver lining with AF. My way to cope is very unique in that I live around the corner from Disney-I go to Disney and get distracted. Maybe get out and do something you love, like ? Or even just get out and window shop? I end up using the distraction method for a day and then I watch a movie I know I'll cry at to help get it all out.
@spacemountaineer I felt similar about having a baby in December but like you said I would always wonder what would of happened if I skipped the cycle.
@holly321 This is good news that your son is starting to eat more foods and you can decrease his supplement shakes.
@MrsJessS I am sorry you feel so much pressure this month and I agree that it sucks that so much is out of our control.
@Jennifer_louise DD is very particular about what shoes she wears and wants to put them on herself which is fine except when we are running late and need to get out the door!
@kbrown2385 Good to hear that discipline class is really helping!
@mokay19 I love when DD counts, she is so proud of herself when she does it too
@shamrocandroll All of my friends know my history so I think they try to mindful of things around me- its just hard because *TW none of them have dealt with a loss *TW so they are never going to truly understand how I feel which is frustrating. Your son is such a smart cookie, be a proud momma!!
@flintstone-2 I felt like I had a lot of cramping around O this month- not like one sided pain but just overall cramping. I am glad you survived while DH is away- my DH travels a lot for work, its hard to be solo!
Has anyone had lower temps and shorter LP together PP? I feel overall much warmer than I used to though... Still losing a lot of hair too. I also gained 45+ lbs and then lost it and 15 more when DS was 9 months / I went back to work, so I’m wondering how much to discuss about my hormones with my new OB next month.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@NYTino24 weirdly, my LP seems to have lengthened PP (from 9ish to 11ish - not that it's done much for getting me KU). I have read up on LP and it seems like it does trend downward in length as we age. My temps are actually a bit higher too. We're basically opposites... 🤷♂️
@NYTino24 so are you 15 lb below what you were pre-pregnancy? I know low weight/low BMI can affect your hormone levels and LP. It's a concern of some of the women who regain cycles after having hypothalamic amenorrhea (HA). Once they get back up to where they cycled normally their LPs tend to lengthen. I know I got HA postpartum because I gained 20 lb in pregnancy and lost 30 with BF and it ran me into an energy deficit.
Sorry
I’ve been MIA – we just got back from our 10-day trip to Disney World and are
having a rough time adjusting due to post-Disney depression and colds.
I
have a lot to catch up on so I’ll try to tag later today.
What
number are you trying for? 2

2

Ages

Any
thoughts about this cycle? CD1 or 2 today. A part of me wants to use OPKs
this cycle and part of me just wants to track CM, CP, and RHR like last cycle.
We’ll see how I feel later.
Any
questions? If AF starts in the evening, do you consider CD1 that day or
the next? AF has always started in the morning for me but this cycle it started
in the evening so not sure how to handle that even though it shouldn’t really
matter.
Rant/Rave/Brag:
Rants – home from Disney World, house is a disaster, we all have colds, CD1
after AF was later than expected (such a troll - but I had a "typical" LP length so I guess that's good), I’m mentally and physically
exhausted right now.
Rave – DD STTN 2 nights in a row! We also had so much fun at Disney and we are
already planning our next trip maybe in the fall depending on baby #2.
Brag – IDK, we didn’t get sunburns while at Disney I guess! LOL
Update
to DD’s illness: Went to the pedi the day before we left for Disney and turns
out it was strep throat (I didn’t know diarrhea was a symptom!).
GTKY: You're having a guest for dinner, what is
your go-to recipe(s) that is sure to please everyone? Or where do you order-in
from? I love to do pork tenderloin and basil tomato pasta. It’s easy and
everyone likes it.

@justkeepswimming8 what @shamrocandroll said - CD1 starts whatever day you have spotting or bleeding. Also, I hope you had an amazing time in Disney! It's always so depressing coming home!
@spacemountaineer I feel the same way about a December baby, or even a January one. I'd be fine with a November baby (that's if it happened this cycle for me haha) but the next two months of trying I feel like I might just clear my mind and leave it to "whatever happens happens" and not go crazy with focusing on timing. I'm not gonna not BD during this time, but I'm certainly not going to stress about it.
@dolewhipper thank you! After 5 days of being sick with some stomach bug thing I am finally feeling normal again! MH however now has it... ugh! There goes the timing this cycle for sure! FX that DS doesn't catch whatever it is, because that would not be fun! I am sanitizing everything when I get home from work tonight!

@NYTino24 I’m not sure about the temps, but hair loss can be from thyroid fluctuations so I think that would be a good thing to get tested. I could definitely see that effecting your temps and LP, too.
@mokay I was kind of thinking that... @justkeepswimming8 Hope everyone feels better soon! DS just had his third night in a row of STTN and it was glorious. Now we are rewarded by a stomach bug and loose stool, so I’m wondering if he’s just sleeping because he’s fighting it off. I really hope we’ve turned a corner! @flinstone-2 Yeah, I’m 15 lbs. below prepregnancy weight and around 115 now. Long story short, *TW* I had a loss, */TW* took a cycle off and found out I had SIBO / lost a few pounds from the testing diet, and got pregnant again. I don’t think the weight has a lot to do with it since I am getting AF regularly in the last 3 months since I stopped pumping. It probably has more to do with BF than anything, but who knows.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@NYTino24 that makes sense. I've been told that if I would have kept my weight up during BF I probably wouldn't be where I am now, not cycling. Like you said though you are and that's great! I bet it will figure itself out. I also agree BF could have something to do with it. I've had all my hormones tested and the first time my prolactin was actually lower than normal which they'd never seen. A few weeks later is was back in range. Hormones are weird.
@NYTino24 and @flinstone-2: I think breastfeeding and postpartum just looks so different for any given dyad (nursing baby-mother), and honestly I'm not sure if laboratory results can always give a full picture during the post partum period. Breastfeeding /mom hormones just vary so much based on baby intake, growth spurts, how much solid food baby may be taking with breastmilk, etc etc etc.
Sorry it took me so long to come back to tag - my cold has gotten significantly worse in the last 24 hours but luckily DD and DH are on the mend.
@flinstone-2 – I hope you survived without DH. I’ve only had
to do one night without mine and that was rough. I haven’t noticed any pressure
like you are describing but I hope that it gets better!
@holly321 – yay for improvements with your DD and DS!
@dumbledoredies – we don’t have people over very often
either. It’s definitely DH’s fault. He doesn’t like to have people over but I
would love to entertain more. Sorry about CD1. All the wine for me when AF
arrives. @dolewhipper – I wish I could go to Disney so easily to cope. DH and I are seriously thinking of moving to Florida after this last trip lol
@jennifer_louise – your clothes drama with your DD makes me
not look forward to having a toddler. I’m already dreading it lol I hope you
can find a solution – I have no suggestions.
@kbrown2385 – glad to hear that you are seeing improvement
in the discipline class. I’ll have to check out the youtube videos for the
future.
@spartanrd4 – I’m glad your DD’s party went well! Sorry
about your friend but I’m glad it was encouraging for you. FX for #2 soon so
you don’t have to feel the pressure anymore!
@hanshotfirst77 – hopefully your cycle will work itself out
soon.
@shamrocandroll – Aw that’s so awesome how well your DS is
doing! You’re not one of *those* parents if a teacher brags about your kid
right? LOL
@dolewhipper – I hope AF stops being a troll and come back
soon! That’s a hard decision on times for bday party because the 1:30 – 3:30
could line up with nap times but also would be a good time so you’re not
expected to have a meal and can be more flexible with food options. I think you
should go with whichever time your LO would be happiest.
@MrsJessS – sorry DH will be out of town next month and that’s
putting pressure on this cycle. It so sux how little control we have over TTC.
@kpearse99 – I’m sorry you are feeling defeated. I hope that
changes soon! I feel ya on it not being easy to “try without trying”. I know
way too much about my own body to just ignore the signs. I wish I was a little
more ignorant so I could be more relaxed.
@mercury94 – FX you O without clomid and that you are able
to get a good temping routine down.
@NYTino24 – yay for STTN for our LOs (mine didn’t last night…
boo). I hope you had a good birthday! I’m also still losing hair like crazy still
and my LP hasn’t been consistent (between 10 and 12 days) and I’m 20 lbs under
pre-pregnancy weight (however still overweight). I didn’t think that hormones
could be out of whack - I’ve just been chalking it up to BF. Hopefully your OB
has an answer for you.
@icking82 and @mercury94 – I’m originally from Texas (live
in Ohio now) and my parents still live there. DH was so amazed at HEB the first
time he went into it (he grew up in Ohio). He loves to go if we get a chance
while we are visiting lol
@spacemountaineer – I have a beginning of November bday, DH
has a sometimes on TG birthday, my mom as a right after Christmas birthday, and
my SIL has a beginning of Jan birthday and it can be frustrating that you get
all your gifts for the year in a 2-month time span. I’m jealous of my sisters
who have summer birthdays. But it is nice that you only have to make one birthday/Christmas
list per year I guess. Sorry you had a rough weekend with DS – hopefully you
got back into your groove.
@mrsvp614 – good luck with the demo! Sound like lots of
take-out for y’all in the near future.

@dumbledoredies – we don’t have people over very often either. It’s definitely DH’s fault. He doesn’t like to have people over but I would love to entertain more. Sorry about CD1. All the wine for me when AF arrives. @dolewhipper – I wish I could go to Disney so easily to cope. DH and I are seriously thinking of moving to Florida after this last trip lol
@jennifer_louise – your clothes drama with your DD makes me not look forward to having a toddler. I’m already dreading it lol I hope you can find a solution – I have no suggestions.
@kbrown2385 – glad to hear that you are seeing improvement in the discipline class. I’ll have to check out the youtube videos for the future.
@spartanrd4 – I’m glad your DD’s party went well! Sorry about your friend but I’m glad it was encouraging for you. FX for #2 soon so you don’t have to feel the pressure anymore!
@mokay19 – aw how sweet that your DD is counting!
@hanshotfirst77 – hopefully your cycle will work itself out soon.
@shamrocandroll – Aw that’s so awesome how well your DS is doing! You’re not one of *those* parents if a teacher brags about your kid right? LOL
@dolewhipper – I hope AF stops being a troll and come back soon! That’s a hard decision on times for bday party because the 1:30 – 3:30 could line up with nap times but also would be a good time so you’re not expected to have a meal and can be more flexible with food options. I think you should go with whichever time your LO would be happiest.
@MrsJessS – sorry DH will be out of town next month and that’s putting pressure on this cycle. It so sux how little control we have over TTC.
@kpearse99 – I’m sorry you are feeling defeated. I hope that changes soon! I feel ya on it not being easy to “try without trying”. I know way too much about my own body to just ignore the signs. I wish I was a little more ignorant so I could be more relaxed.
@mercury94 – FX you O without clomid and that you are able to get a good temping routine down.
@NYTino24 – yay for STTN for our LOs (mine didn’t last night… boo). I hope you had a good birthday! I’m also still losing hair like crazy still and my LP hasn’t been consistent (between 10 and 12 days) and I’m 20 lbs under pre-pregnancy weight (however still overweight). I didn’t think that hormones could be out of whack - I’ve just been chalking it up to BF. Hopefully your OB has an answer for you.
@icking82 and @mercury94 – I’m originally from Texas (live in Ohio now) and my parents still live there. DH was so amazed at HEB the first time he went into it (he grew up in Ohio). He loves to go if we get a chance while we are visiting lol
@spacemountaineer – I have a beginning of November bday, DH has a sometimes on TG birthday, my mom as a right after Christmas birthday, and my SIL has a beginning of Jan birthday and it can be frustrating that you get all your gifts for the year in a 2-month time span. I’m jealous of my sisters who have summer birthdays. But it is nice that you only have to make one birthday/Christmas list per year I guess. Sorry you had a rough weekend with DS – hopefully you got back into your groove.
@mrsvp614 – good luck with the demo! Sound like lots of take-out for y’all in the near future.

It's super easy. I add a pound of cooked ground sausage to it. I cover it with aluminium foil for the first round in the oven and then remove it for the last 5 minutes.
