It's been ages since I've been on the boards (aside from a couple brief appearances on the IF board), so I figure I'll re-intro before I pop into any threads.

Ages (you and SO): We're both 34.

How many months have you been TTC?: Around 17 months at this point, I think?

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: At this point, we're just BD'ing when it looks like I'm going to be ovulating. Due to the layout of our bedroom, I can't temp properly (our bed is against the wall, and that's my side, so I have nowhere to put the thermometer without leaning over the husband -.-), and OPKs never seem to work for me. We've seen two REs and I've been diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): DH works in hospitality and I work at a retail call center. We have no tiny humans, but we have a cat named Phantom who has her own Instagram account, lol. I love to bake and cook and went to culinary school for pastry. I'm a horror fan, listen mainly to heavy metal, and also have a deep love for Disney. DH loves gaming and anime, and we both love movies in general.

@cali-queen Hi, I’m a newbie member myself so, assuming the best of your intentions, you might be confused about the purpose of this forum. I’m sorry your stressed about your cycle (having read your other post), that’s a tough position to be in. But this isn’t a one-off question forum or a replacement for google. Nobody on this board owes you an answer as we’re not health practitioners. This is an online space that attempts to build community around the shared struggle of trying to conceive (TTC). Infertility and TTC can be very vulnerable so that’s why developing relationships and building community are so important.

If if you think you might be pregnant, check out the 1st trimester board. If you have medical concerns about the length of your cycle, consult your doctor. Otherwise, read the pinned posts (the bulk of abbreviations are there, too), and introduce yourself. Engage and provide support, stick to the terms of use (TOU), and just start reading posts for awhile. Once you get the hang of the posts/community, you’ll be equipped with all the lingo to help make the board helpful for you.

@cali-queen again, as @rachelredhead said, I don't think you understand the purpose and workings of this forum. This is not a place to post a question and go about your day. We are a community here. We chat with each other in the various threads on a daily basis. Sure, we ask questions along the way, but it is against the terms of usage (TOU) to ask, even in a roundabout way, if you are pregnant. Perhaps asking questions left and right without getting to know people was how this board was in years past, but that's not how we operate here now.

None of us can answer your question the way you want because the majority of us here have never gotten pregnant. I myself have been trying for a baby since July 2017. I will be having my 3rd intrauterine insemination (IUI) in about 2 hours and if it doesn't work, I have to move on to IVF to have a baby when all our tests have shown that there's no reason why we haven't been able to get pregnant. *Trigger warning (TW)* And with that hardship, I have to deal with the fact that in about 3 weeks, my sister is having her first baby AND a cousin is having their 2nd baby due 2 days before my sister AND another cousin is due at the end of April. If you're wondering, these 3 people have taken less time to conceive cumulatively than it has been for me to conceive once *end trigger warning (TW)*

We are trying to be welcoming to you and show you that it's okay to tell us a little about yourself so you can join this wonderful community and have someone to talk to through all the ups and downs.

If you are not looking for commaraderie and only want your question answered, then I suggest you look elsewhere.

@cali-queen *TW* I have been pregnant seven times, with many miscarriages. I feel very well equipped to answer questions about pregnancy tests. *End TW* So here you go: I have never had a test give a positive result later than 11 days after I ovulated. That's four days before my period. If you are getting negative pregnancy tests at this point, wait for your period to start or call your doctor. Or take another test in a few days. Andplusalso, I've never had any pregnancy symptoms before getting a positive test.

Everyone who has responded to you has been incredibly patient, given how obstinate you're being. In the future, please either participate fully with the rest of us or move on to a site that doesn't believe in giving support before demanding it from others.

@inthewoods23 thank you. I totally understand what you’re saying. Thanks! I need to figure out a way to access this forum more easily. I’ve wanted to post here but the site isn’t user friendly. I think I’ve had one other post in two years of membership but I’m slowly learning. It’s just a horrible format 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’ve searched the internet but actually chatting with humans is the best source for me so I am grateful for this forum. I just think maybe people shouldn’t go so hard on new people right out of the gate. Is there no learning curve for this forum?

@cali-queen again read the posts at the top. Lurk. See the way this forum works then join in. As it's been previously said this is a community of women who have built friendships and trust. When outside people come swooping in with random questions its frustrating. We aren't Google. We aren't an OBGyn.

You have been directed multiple times to the threads that tell you exactly how to use this board. Now you have infiltrated multiple threads on this board complaining about not being able to use this forum/board. If you would take the time to read those threads you would have found the list of all the abbreviations we use.

We have told you multiple times we aren't Google, so please don't treat us like Google. You are even refusing to introduce yourself so we have some idea who you are. No one has been hard on you. In fact, you have been coddled in my opinion. Navigating this board is not hard. We all did it and didn't need this amount of hand holding either.

@cali-queen I lurked for MONTHS before I posted anything. This site is a lot like real life - you get a feel for the room before you put yourself out there. The women on this board become friends and many of us talk privately and outside of the posts. We want to get to know the people who participate here.

My deal is that you have taken over numerous threads complaining about how you can't figure this board out. On everyone of these threads it has been explained to you and you still keep complaining. If you need more time to figure it out and learn, stop posting and just lurk. That is what we all did when we got here. We lurked until we figured it out. Then we introed in the weekly intro thread and THEN started participating and giving support to other members before we started bombarding them with questions. By the way, there happens to be a thread devoted to questions anyone has about their cycles/charting, etc.
