  • @mrosek91, I am the same. I have to clean before anyone comes here. Also I love that story and the car! The colour is the greatest.

    *Live, Love, Laugh, Learn*

  • @mrosek91 I totally get the need to clean the house before anyone comes over! Totally justified. I'm the same way. Family has been coming over to help with house work, but I feel obligated to clean before they get there because I can't handle them seeing a full messy house. Even though I'm not allowed to clean...

    Due Aug 30, 12w2

Baby is as tall as a Rubik's cube

Team Green (if that's the not finding out team).

Next appointment is Feb 22. Excited to see baby again. Hopefully if everything is all good we can start announcing publicly.

Feeling cautiously optimistic. No bleeding for 12 days! Yay!

I would rant about the crappy sleep I've been getting, and the insomnia, but I figure it's just practice for when baby gets here hahaha.

My wedding was about 2 years ago. I was violently ill all day. I caught gastroenteritis from a patient at work. It was miserable. I didn't get to eat any of the dinner, and left the dinner table over a dozen times to be sick.
Oh and my DH bit my finger HARD when we were doing the cake 😂. The photographer got a hilarious picture of it...
I was in tears by the end of the night. We left early for our hotel. I barely was able to realize we had a beautiful suite. I sat slumped over the bathroom sink while my new husband took a thousand Bobby pins from my hair, showered, and was asleep before he got out of the shower.
Still, the best day ever. But I wish we hadn't spent so much money on it. It was beautiful, and I'm sure it would have been lovely if I could have enjoyed it haha
  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 8/24, 13w + 1d

Baby is the size of a(n): lemons

What team are you on (Blue, Pink, or Green):

Maybe team blue? The ultrasound tech thought Baby B looked like a boy at our 12wk scan, and the NIPT test should be able to tell us if there’s at least one boy in there...so hopefully we’ll have that info by the end of the week!

    Upcoming Appointments: nothing til March!

How are you feeling?: Last week was rough, but I’ve been feeling a little better the last couple of days...so hoping I’m getting past the worst of it!!

Rants/Raves: DD turned two today. She’s a really special kid and I’m so proud to be her mom.

Questions: Anyone having Braxton-Hicks yet? I never felt them with DD - but yesterday I got this sensation a couple times in my abdomen, kinda hard to describe, but it didn’t really feel like baby kicks soooo...Braxton-Hicks was my best guess? Just seems so early. It was nothing painful, so I’m more curious than worried.

GTKY: Tell us all about your wedding. What kind of wedding did you have? How long have you been married? Share stories and pics of you want!

Looooved my wedding. We got married 5 yrs ago. Ceremony was at a church in our suburb, pictures were at my college campus, and the reception was at the top of the tallest building downtown (the views were fantastic). It was pretty classic / traditional.

  • @mrosek91 I always feel pressure to tidy when people come over and DH does not get it. I hope you have a nice dinner.
@AKuzReve Omg you and your wedding are gorgeous! I have also been making some progress on registry stuff and it’s nice to have my secret list going so I can do a little at a time.
@chillycanadian How terrible you were so sick at your wedding! I’m impressed you even made it through the day and made it to everything. I hope you’re able to be off of bed rest following your appt.
@aecm I haven’t had any Braxton Hicks - maybe they start earlier with twin pregnancies? I’m glad the babies are doing well and excited for you to find out the sex of them!

    Est. Due Date / Weeks + Days: 8/29 /12w3d

Baby is the size of a(n): lime I think? Must be a pretty small lime

What team are you on (Blue, Pink, or Green): We found out last weekend we are having a boy!

    Upcoming Appointments: 2/25

How are you feeling?: Good - most of my symptoms are gone. I have some round ligament pain off and on (stretching helps), and I am still sleep talking up a storm and peeing all the time.

Rants/Raves: No rants really except I’m trying to organize/get rid of stuff around the house and we just have a lot of stuff! Rave is I got a home Doppler this week and it has been really reassuring to hear him and know he is still in there.

Questions: How are people’s bellies looking? I think my uterus is above the pubic bone but still pretty low but especially at the end of the day I have a blump going.

GTKY: Tell us all about your wedding. What kind of wedding did you have? How long have you been married? Share stories and pics of you want!  We had a pretty average but fun wedding. Our 4 year wedding anniversary is in May.

  • @AKuzReve thanks, I keep joking I can never get a new car because they don't sell that model in the states anymore, but that's just because I'm in denial that my next car is going to have to be a minivan.
@chillycanadian that's aweful timing, I'm so sorry you were sick during your wedding!! The number one peice of advice for pregnant woman that I hate is sleep now while you can. Whoever gives that advise has obviously never been pregnant or was pregnant so long ago they don't remember what's it like. Between the bodily discomfort and the frequent bathroom trips sleep is not easy.
@zamora_spin my belly is still in the "is she pregnant, or is she letting herself go, phase?" But I tend to pop late and carry small. (If you can use 2 as a sample size.)
Thank you everyone for validating my need for a clean house. I'm about two thirds of the way through the last week's worth of dishes I keep doing a few, and then taking a break.
  • @mrosek91 I also dreaded the change to a minivan. An accident totaled my previous (beloved) car and forced me to upgrade back in October. I seriously considered an SUV but felt the minivan was the responsible way to go...and I LOVE IT. Never thought I could love a minivan, but it hauls so much, is so easy to get the kid in/out of, and drives so nice. So don’t dread that day too much, I promise it’s not that bad 😜

  • Sorry to have missed most of last week- we were out of town and I didn't have much time to Bump!

@AKuzReve What a fun GTKY. You and your wedding are gorgeous!

@mrosek91 I love the color of your car! And I also am on the clean before company comes team--even family. I have gotten more relaxed about since DS was born because with us both working full time and having him, there is just not enough time in the day sometimes.

@chillycanadian I'm glad you haven't had any bleeding for a while! Fingers crossed it is gone for good!

@aecm No braxton hicks yet, but I had some weird pains this weekend--I'm not sure if they were muscular or what. It felt like things were in the wrong place and then popped back into the place...I didn't experience it with my last pregnancy. I love your wedding bouquet!

@zamora_spin I am also still at the "Is she pregnant or just getting chubby"stage. I do not carry small :D , but it did take me until about 18-20 weeks to truly pop with my first.

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: August 31 / 12+2

Baby is the size of a(n):Plum

What team are you on (Blue, Pink, or Green): We found out last week-- team pink!!

Upcoming Appointments:Nothing until an US on March 6

How are you feeling?: Slowly getting more energy and feeling less nauseous. Our whole house has had a lovely cough and cold the past two weeks, so I am looking forward to the day that's gone too!

Rants/Raves: I am really excited we are having a girl. I would have been pumped for another boy too, because I love DS beyond imagination, but it will be fun to have a girl too!

    Questions:

GTKY: Tell us all about your wedding. What kind of wedding did you have? How long have you been married? Share stories and pics of you want!  We had our ceremony in my childhood church and then our reception in a decommissioned church that's a performance space for a local chorus. We did a lot of DIY elements like making votives out of beer bottles (so that sounds kind of tacky when I type it, but it really wasn't...), and using my collection of books as risers for flowers on the tables...it felt like a good representation of "us" and I think it was a pretty fun party too.

  • Love reading everyone's!
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: Aug 29

Baby is the size of a(n): plum

What team are you on (Blue, Pink, or Green): green

Upcoming Appointments: two next week! one is the genetic testing.

How are you feeling?: Some days good, some bot good.

Rants/Raves: Reading for morning sickness to be gone and to like normal foods again :)

GTKY: Tell us all about your wedding. What kind of wedding did you have? How long have you been married? Share stories and pics of you want!

Been married for almost a year and a half. We had a farm wedding at the farm we get our CSA from. Was such a s windy day which made cool pics with my long veil!

  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 8/31, 12+2

Baby is the size of a(n): plum

What team are you on (Blue, Pink, or Green): Team finding out next week from NIPT results!

Upcoming Appointments: We just had one this morning! Did the blood draw for the NIPT and tried to hear the heartbeat on the Doppler. When they couldn’t find it, they got us in for a quick scan so we got to see our sweet babe with a heartbeat of 164!! Our NT scan is this Friday 2/22.

How are you feeling?: Great! Very relieved after our appointment today.

Rants/Raves: So excited to find out the sex next week!!! We’ll be sharing the news on social media after that.

    Questions:

GTKY: Tell us all about your wedding. What kind of wedding did you have? How long have you been married? Share stories and pics of you want!

We had a traditional wedding with the ceremony and reception in the ballroom of a hotel near us. We got married about 2.5 years ago. It was such a fun day!!

  • @mrosek91 I totally get your concerns about wanting the house to be clean! I hope you were able to enjoy dinner!
@AKuzReve Your wedding pictures are gorgeous!!!
@chillycanadian What a crazy wedding story! Just about the worst day to be so sick. I’ll be counting down to Friday with you and hope your appt goes well!!
@aecm I hope your NIPT results get in quickly!
@zamora_spin What kind of Doppler did you get? I’ve been seriously considering it, but am now even more nervous to get one since my OB couldn’t find the heartbeat today. So glad you were able to hear your little boy’s heart beating away!
@amdogger82 Yay for team pink!! I think I’m secretly hoping for the same but know I will be thrilled for either.
  • @dogmomma096 You may have a sneaky hiding baby in there. Were they looking pretty low on your abdomen? My LO is still below my muffin top, so if I tried my belly proper I think I'd get nothing. I have a Sonoline B which I ordered here. The thing I was most nervous about was not being able to find him. I watched a bunch of videos before I tried and also had a full bladder, as well as propped my hips with a pillow. To my surprise he has been very easy to find. In watching YouTube videos there even was one in a medical office setting that I assume was being done by at least an NP/Midwife and it took them 4 or so minutes to find the HB. I think the trickiest part is that you can be in the right spot but need to angle the probe the right way, and if you move it at all from exactly that right spot and angle you will lose it. A friend of a friend recommended getting one and waiting to use it until the same day as an appt so if you can't find the HB you know they're in there. They also recommended not using it more than once a day so you don't disrupt the baby's sleep. I've been trying to use it only every few days.

@zamora_spin Yeah they looked all over but had no luck. I’m only 12+2 today though. I’m thinking of waiting until my 16 week appt to try it at home - that’s a good suggestion! Hopefully it will be easier to find by then too.
  • The dinner was really nice, and I managed to get the kitchen basically clean before it started. I decided to not worry about the living room, and just blamed it on the boys.
Today I worked from home because the nanny had to leave at 4, so I took advantage of my clean kitchen, and sudden energy and made tuna noodle casserole, I was very pleased with myself, but I think that used all my energy, so now I need to survive the next hour until bedtime.
  • @peachy0709 You are not a burden for being real, open, & honest about these realities. I believe there is at least one other on this board whom has had difficult results. You are always welcome here, when you’re feeling up to it. Please keep us updated& know you’re in our hearts & we are here for support.
  • @peachy0709 I'm sorry to hear that you are facing this uncertainty. I am so glad you shared that with us and if you feel comfortable I know I want to continue to support you through this terrible waiting time on this thread and anywhere else you want to post. Pregnancy can be a mixed bag in a lot of ways. I don't know if there is a particular board here targeted for this (although there probably should be) but I am wondering if we should start a thread to support mamas who are struggling due to waiting for test results and similar issues? Again, if you want to update us here as well I personally encourage it.
  • @peachy0709 I’m sorry to hear you are in such a stressful limbo and I hope your testing comes back normal and quickly!! We could definitely start a thread similar to the NT/NIPT discussion thread for anyone that wants to talk about additional testing and all the associated anxieties?
  • @peachy0709 I am so sorry to hear about your difficult news and uncertain place you are in. I think it's very gracious of you to worry about burdening or worrying others, but i agree with @zamora_spin, I would welcome your updates (or non updates, if you just need support while waiting) on this check in as often as you are comfortable giving them. But for support of the larger group, and maybe to help those in similar circumstances, I think that I saw another BMB do a separate thread for for NT/NIPT result support. I am thinking of you and sending you positive thoughts for the best possible outcome.
  • @peachy0709 I'm so sorry about the news and that you are in limbo. Waiting is so awful. I've got my fingers crossed for you that things turn out well. Sending all the positive vibes your way. Come vent to us whenever you need. We are here for you!
  • @peachy0709 ditto what everyone else said. You are in my prayers.
  • @peachy0709 Please don’t feel that you are burdening us at all, we are here to support you! I’m so sorry you’re going through this, and I’ll also be crossing my fingers that all your results come back as positive as possible.

What team are you on (Blue, Pink, or Green): pending NIPT results! Should be here in the next week

Upcoming Appointments: 2 weeks away, next monthly check up  (thankfully have been reduced to every 4 weeks. We were going every 1-2 weeks because of a SCH.)

How are you feeling?: Exhausted. I can’t sleep. I can’t get comfortable at night and my brain won’t shut off. Evening sickness is mostly gone, but still have food avoidance. I officially puked this week though. Previously was just dramatic dry heaving that even made me laugh between heaves.

Rants/Raves: Rave: I was diagnosed with a SCH early on that caused bleeding and spotting. About three weeks ago I had a ton of spotting. This was the first OB appointment - doc said it was twice as big as he typically sees. Went back for a check up a few days later and the SCH was gone!! He couldn’t find ‘the monster’ as he called it. I spotted for two+ weeks but it finally stopped. Doc said spotting was the clot draining. I am no longer on pelvic rest and can continue as a normal pregnancy. I am so thankful after working so hard for this little thing. Also got to stop Progesterone injections at week 12. (We did IVF.)

    Questions: none!

GTKY: Tell us all about your wedding. What kind of wedding did you have? How long have you been married? Share stories and pics of you want!

My husband and I got married two years ago, after being together for five years. We did a barn wedding, with lots of DIY decorations and projects. I’d love to live the day over again! One of the best days of my life, with family and friends, delicious food (I’m a foodie!), and dancing. And wine!

  • @chillycanadian, that sucks that you were sick but you're a champ! I would not have survived it. Also, my insomnia is also so bad. I woke up at 4 AM and couldn't go back to sleep. I woke up my H to talk. Haha, poor guy! I hope your bed rest ends soon!

@aecm, happy belated birthday to your daughter! I don't have BH yet but I have RLP and it's annoying.

@zamora_spin, thank you! I also have terrible RLP. I don't have a bump as yet but I'm waiting for it. My mom said she didn't pop until 5 months so I don't know if genetics plays a role. I hope it does because she bounced back so quickly after each kid. After 3 kids, she still only weighed like 100 lbs. I'm still wearing all my normal clothes, which is good.

@Amdogger82, thank you! Yay for the girl!

@dogmomma096, thank you! I can't wait for you to find out. I was secretly hoping for a girl as well but I am happy with a little boy. I do hope I get a girl at some point haha.

@peachy0709, you are not a burden. My heart and thoughts are with you, especially in the upcoming weeks. Please feel free to keep posting here as you can see we are all here to offer a hug. We are happy to listen and sometimes that is exactly what you need. Good luck today at your appointment. If you're up to it, please check in. I'll be thinking of you today.

What team are you on (Blue, Pink, or Green): still awaiting NIPT results...

Upcoming Appointments: Had one today, next one isn't for a month.

How are you feeling?: tired, bloated, exhausted, headaches, and more fatigue

Rants/Raves: we celebrated my littlest's first birthday over the weekend, I made his cake and we took some fun cake smash photos.  I've been practicing photography for a few months now and I am really happy with how these turned out! It took a bit of convincing, but once we took the lemon slices off the cake he dove right in and had a ball.

    Questions:

GTKY: Tell us all about your wedding. What kind of wedding did you have? How long have you been married? Share stories and pics of you want! Hubby and I have been together for almost 19 years (holy crap) and married for almost 16. We originally planned a wedding on the beach but ended up having to move up our wedding date since he was called up for active duty in the military. We replanned everything and ended up getting married at Disney.  It was a super small wedding but we had a ball.  I just wish I could go back to pleasure island and the Adventure's Club where we had our joint bachelor/bachelorette party. so sad its gone!
