R/R: What the hell is going on??????? What is my body doing??? I've been "spotting" off and on since Monday? The "spotting" has had a variety of colors to include bright red, and enough "activity" once yesterday when I went to the bathroom to make me actually think that AF was going to start. Nope. Didn't happen. Debating putting a phone call into my GYN office this AM and see if they will do a blood test on me today. At this point, I'm wondering/thinking there is something more wrong than right here. Didn't take temps the last few days because I was fully expecting AF to be here- but I figured that I would temp this AM for the heck of it- just to see.....And it's above my temps during the WTO phase.....

Sorry to post and ghost yesterday but my day got crazy busy. Gouda Mac and cheese turned out amazing and can post the recipe if anyone is interested.

R/R: just gotta get through work today and then it’s a 3 day weekend woo! MH tore something in his foot yesterday (some tissue that runs along the whole bottom of your foot) and now he’s in a boot and has to be on light duty at work which has him bummed out especially because he was just about to start his favorite rotation which only comes around twice per year. I feel so bad for him

CS/Q: finally got crosshairs today and it’s a solid line instead of dashed for the first time ever even with my two pre-O wonky temps

@kopp5988 No- I don't think so......maybe in 2015 when we were actively TTGP- but I think that was also EARLY on in my cycles and keeping track of everything- so I maybe didn't really know what I was or wasn't looking for kind of thing. So I maybe documented when my period started late or had late O and didn't know that.....Since we've been actively TTGP now- no- this has not happened.

Testing: Sunday, although DH pressured me into testing yesterday because of my stomachache. BFN, but it's 6dpo, what do you expect!

R/R: I'm feeling 100% better! I woke up this morning, and was like, something is different...oh yeah, my stomach doesn't hurt. Still not sure what caused it, other than maybe I just didn't like that fish for lunch on Wednesday.
Nothing much else atm, except I feel super cute this morning in a french braid and minimal makeup, ftw!

CS/Q: So I lied. I temped again this morning. My chart looks weird, but I'm pretty sure I O'd because all my temps are post-O temps, even though that coverline is super high.

@madcouplewithabox why is it AF takes forever when you want her to come? That was me last month!

@MNturnsVA Have you posted your chart for a stalk? Maybe you Od later? Or is it possible you are just having a really light AF? I'm sorry its frustrating. And it never hurts to check in with your obgyn if you are uneasy.

@kopp5988 solid lines are so satisfying!

@marebear15 I love that DH pressured you. H asked me yesterday if I was pregnant for Valentine's and I just gave him a blank stare and said it's not possible to even know yet.

Testing: Just realized H's bday will land on 12dpo. I will probably test then, unless I have my pre-AF spotting.

R/R: I'm taking over a new program at work which my supervisor has been running. I sent an email about it yesterday while she was traveling and then last night I got an email from her second guessing everything I did and basically implying what I did was wrong. I stand by my decision and sent all the info to back it up this morning, but its frustrating I have to defend even the most basic of decisions. Rave: I'm off the first half of next week to go on a little family vacation to AZ with the inlaws. Bummed they won't have nice weather, but hoping it will still be a good trip. It has been surrounded with inlaw drama so far, but trying to stay positive.

@MNturnsVA - Well there really isn't any debate as to when you O'd. Either your spotting is AF starting really really slowly, or maybe it's IB and you just don't have enough HCG to turn a test yet. What kind of test have you been using, and have you ever tried testing in the evening? Some people test better on non-FMU.

@MNturnsVA I had the exact same thing happen last cycle (LP of 17-18 when it's normally 12 or less). I'm not saying the same thing is happening to you, but here's my story: (in spoiler for TW, TMI, and bc it's long)

I got a bit of brown mucus right on time at 12dpo- usually that means AF is around the corner. The next day, I saw some darker brown blood and assumed that was AF, and put in a tampon. I took it our hours later and it was almost completely empty. Same thing the next few days. Took my only HPT on 14dpo- BFN. AF finally came (with a vengeance) after about 4-5 days of light spotting, making my LP extremely long. Called my doctor on the following Monday, and she said that it could have been a very early loss (CP, and she didn't seem concerned that I had gotten a BFN) or a one-off fluke. At that point, there really wasn't any testing that could be done, but she said to call again if it happens. AF was soooo heavy in day 2-3, and she said that was probably just because the lining was thicker than it would have been if AF started at the normal time. I used almost an entire box of tampons on CD2, and at the worst was soaking though a regular tampon in like 10 minutes. It was alarming, she said I probably should have gone to the ER.
So I would suggest calling your doctor, and if AF does show her face, don't be surprised if it's heavy.

@millpe ugh, in law drama is literally the worst. I find it hard to understand them, since I'm not in their gene pool. Some families are just so different from my own!

@MNturnsVA I normally do, but wanted to stress less this cycle and last so I was only using OPKs. Now I wish I had, just so I could let you know! Does your doctor have a phone nurse or somebody you could talk to today? I know mine closes over the weekend and might be closed Monday for Presidents day so sooner is probably better.

I will preface saying I’ve only ever made it with gluten free pasta and gluten free flour because I didn’t discover the recipe until after my celiac diagnosis, but I’m sure it’s even better with the real deals. I used smoked Gouda and a mild guryere cheeses this time. Last time I used aged Gouda, a medium guryere, and a sharp cheddar and it was really really rich (still amazing though). This time the flavor wasn’t as intense which had me wanting to eat all of it!

@millpe sorry about having to deal with your supervisor questioning everything you did, that’s super frustrating. Enjoy AZ!

@MNturnsVA your temps are definitely trending down but it is weird that they’re still so much higher than your pre-O temps. I don’t really have much insight but agree wit others that it definitely wouldn’t hurt to call your OB.

Sorry I didn't come back for tags yesterday! Work got away from me, and likely will again today.

R/R: Refer to my rant in the randoms thread from last night. Raves: I feel guilty for insinuating that MF wasn't going to do anything for VDay yesterday because we always said no gifts so I shouldn't have been expecting anything but he did get me the cutest/sweetest card, a cupcake and a pint of my favourite non-dairy cherry garcia Ben & Jerry's ice cream so now I feel like an ass. I picked up a steak & crab dinner on my way home, had a small meltdown in the car because of traffic, and we enjoyed a casual dinner that neither of us had to cook. AND it was approved on MF's diet. AND he is down another 2lbs this morning. WIN!!

CS/Q: I still haven't manually changed my O date but it sure looks pretty this way. Don't mind my RHR, I think my band on my apple watch is too loose and my anxiety has been really terrible lately so the readings have gone all bonkers on me.

@jennifer_louise and @kopp5988 the only thing is- I feel like if I call the dr- I feel like they aren't necessarily all up into the charting and temps and all that- like i feel some are and some aren't- and if i call and talk to the advice nurse- they are just going to say to come in. I remember when I was talking to one OB in 2015/2016- and I went to show them my chart and they just kind of brushed it off.....

Yeah, I see where you're coming from @MNturnsVA. Either try to get in today, or sit it out through the weekend, at which point it will probably be clear if AF is coming or not. If nothing else, I like to call the doc just so they have a record of me calling and something being off. That way, if it happens again, they already have that piece of info.

@creamcheeseplease GL testing! And have fun at the party, I went to a brewery bday party a couple months ago and it was so cool! I loved all the little tasting flights, even MF who doesn't drink beer enjoyed getting to test all the different kinds.

@MNturnsVA sorry for your confusing cycle. A call to your doc sounds like it might be in order. So weird about the spotting, and more BFNs. Like PPs have said, it is possible you might just not have enough HCG in your blood to turn a test. *TW*

My friend had a super, super light line at 12 and 13dpo on a FRER but negative on a digital. Blood test showed a small amount of HCG (like 2miu) and as of 15dpo still no AF (she was on progesterone for a 8-9 day LP defect). But if her HCG isn't doubling and the tests aren't getting any darker, it's probably not a good sign...

@kopp5988 I think I went to bed dreaming about your gouda mac & cheese cuz I woke up craving mac & cheese so bad. Yay for solid CH, but sorry about YH's foot! Ouch! Sometimes those soft tissue injuries are worse than a broken bone.
@marebear15 glad you're feeling better. YH is cute for wanting you to test. How is he feeling?
@millpe that's frustrating about your boss micromanaging you but hopefully she'll see soon enough that you've got it all under control. And GL on your little vacay, hope the ILs don't cause too much more drama. Ugh!

Well, I called my dr's office- and they were way better about it than I expected. I'm going in this afternoon for a blood test. They won't have the results till probably Monday- but.....at least if I go to Wal mart and get some cheapo tests- and nothing changes much over the weekend- we'll have some other information to go by come Monday.

I've used cheapies in the past (from Amazon) and turned a digital while still getting BFNs. I ran out of them before I ever got a positive.

@EmilyLove25 feels so satisfying to get that clear temp shift, lol. Your fancy 5 star restaurant sounds like a real treat. Hope you enjoy your meal/experience! Just a comment on your stated Typical LP Length - the Luteal Phase (LP) is the period of time between ovulation and when AF arrives, so if you normally ovulate around CD16, that would make your average LP around 12 days. This may be hard to state if you're just in your first month trying and your PP cycles haven't returned yet but if you happen to know what it was before, I would use that for now.

@marebear15 I just started using OvuSense for my temps, but it was halfway through what would be a semi New “normal” cycle for me. Last two have been 34-35 days long.....TW....

Since DD was born and Breastfeeding has started to taper off, I’ve only had 4 cycles so far.

@marebear15 and @millpe *****TW FAINT BFP MENTIONED******** I was using some tests we had from work- and then I also used a walmart .88 cent cheapie- those were all negative. i bought a first response test on friday afternoon with the Walmart cheapie and the first reponse showed a VERY faint 2nd line.....however, I'm quite sure that my period has come as I'm full blown AF symptoms and signs over here, including needing to use pads/tampons and major cramps.
