I know there is the spreadsheet, the NT/NIPT discussion but not everyone can update the spreadsheet easily and I'd like to see a direct comparison* of what we've got going on. You know, for science or whatever. So what are you having?

We are team green until delivery! DH is not in agreement but we already have one of each, the nursery walls are grey and just once I want to experience the thrill of not knowing .

My anatomy scan isn't until 3/26. Part of me wants to be team green, but DH doesn't, and I'm waiting to see how curious I get before engaging in that discussion (argument).

@EmilyA724 with DS#1 I was originally on team green, but DH told me that he was going to ask for it in an envelope, "in case I changed my mind" and then steam it open to peek. I think he was mostly joking, and if I had insisted he would have honored my wishes, but I hated the thought of him knowing and me not knowing, and I figured if it was that important to him, let's go for it. I'm happy I did, now I'm counting down the days to the anatomy scan.
What did you do with your DD? Were you happy with that decision?

@mrosek91 with DD we found out. I had no intention of waiting and since it was my first I wanted to plan every possible thing. I loved knowing and I know if we find out I'll be great and wonderful. I'm just curious about the experience of waiting, but I also know myself and there's a chance I will *have* to know once 20 weeks rolls around, which is why I'm waiting to see because right now I'd be fine not finding out. Part of it is we have a slight preference of sex, which is why DH wants to know at 20 weeks so he can prepare, but that's kind of why I want to wait, because once it's born, you love it, and you don''t care about the sex.

If he is insistent, I would take a similar role as you and if it's that important to him, we will find out. So far though whenever I bring up possibly waiting his argument has been "I know you, and you won't be able to wait" and that drives me insane and wants me to dig my stubborn heals in even more

We opted out of NIPT because the NT scan was normal and it seemed like a waste of money to primarily find out the gender... but my anatomy scan isn’t until the end of March and I’m soooooo impatient! DS1 wouldn’t position himself correctly, so I didn’t find out until almost 30 weeks. DS2 had some extenuating circumstances and I had to have an extra scan at 14 weeks, so we found out then. I’m tempted to go to one of those boutique ultrasound places, but I’ve heard their methods can be dangerous and results could still be inconclusive.

@thirdtimesacharm2019 with DS2 and DD we went to a boutique ultrasound. They had the exact same ultrasound machine they use at my OBs office and the lady running the whole thing had been an ultrasound tech for 15 years.

@chillycanadian A few years ago I was shocked when I realized how many of my friends do not find out. With DD there was no way I could wait. With DS I wanted to wait but DH wanted to find out so I gave in. This time I am standing my ground and we are team green til delivery!

@ash0625 exact opposite here. With my first we waited until delivery— figured we had neither and wanted both and would definitely have another at some point so if didn’t matter. With this one I HAD to know. Found out last night, it’s a girl!

I was team green with both my boys. As this is our last child, I kinda want too to experiance both...but that moment in the delivery room is so insanely special--im really on the fence.

@dogmomma096 I am surprised by how many people choose to be team green. Before I started having kids I don't remember knowing anyone who waited until delivery. Over the last few years I have learned that many of my friends choose to wait. We found out with our first two but are team green this time.

We had a growth scan at 14+3 and I'm pretty sure it's a boy. The tech wouldn't say but "agrees with me". DH is either in denial or has no clue what he was looking at cuz he's convinced it's another girl (he wanted a 3rd girl). Anatomy scan is April 5th so hopefully after that we are on the same side lol. I'm waiting to dodo t poll until after that, but I'd say we are most likely team boy.

I have 0 ability to be team green - I honesty don’t know how you ladies have the patience - although after having 2 babies I do agree it would be such a magical moment to find out at birth. Just no patience for me. The days are SLOWLY creeping toward the 14th for our anatomy scan. I feel like I’m the last to know and I’m due the 1st! I’m equally excited to start purging some of our old baby stuff once we find out as we have hung on to two complete wardrobes since we have 1 boy and 1girl. Once we find out the opposite wardrobe it going!

A second boy! Was a bit sad at first but so excited now. We were team green with #1, but I’m glad this time we know so we can use what we have instead of anticipating possible need for girl clothes.

Having a boy! Found out via NIPT a few weeks ago. I really wanted to know, DH wanted to wait. I offered to find out and keep it to myself, but we decided that was unrealistic. Super excited but also nervous, I'm an only child and didn't spend much time around young boys as a kid, so it feels like I'm going into this blind.

Another boy here!! (eta another for the group, first is a DD) DH and I went out to Buy Buy Baby and got a few cute little boy outfits

and I was on pinterest all night looking up nursery stuff. It's crazy how much more into that kind of stuff I am now that I know what it is. Planning on a reveal party though is going to be tough since I keep saying he he he..
