Est. Due Date / Weeks + Days: 13 weeks! Eeeek! Due August 19

Baby is the size of a(n): Jalapeno pepper! Or a lemon.

Upcoming Appointments: February 22 for a growth scan (thyroid issues) and blood work. Plus they're going to try to confirm the sex since I am an anxious Annie.

How are you feeling?: Up and down. Had a great day Saturday and then slept for 15 hours off and on yesterday because I had the worst migraine and was really sick. Starting to have more and more good days though, which is awesome.

Rants/Raves: My stroller purchase! I am so freaking excited about that damn stroller! I am annoyed that I am still vomiting so hard I pee all over the floor but there's not too much I can do about that.

Questions: None. I really just want to feel her move and get be in the "pregnant" stage of preganancy (20+ weeks in my opinion).

GTKY—What's your favorite movie and why?: Mean Girls. I thought it was really good commentary for the time on how girls treat each other because of the patriarchy, plus it's funny AF.

Upcoming Appointments: March 7 for monthly check-up and also made my anatomy scan appointment for March 26! I feel like this pregnancy is going by much fast than my first

How are you feeling?: So hungry! I started taking a daily heartburn medicine, which has been great. just get nauseous at night, but hoping that will die down soon.

Rants/Raves: DH started on nights last week and I feel like I'm in such a funk from it. It's so much alone and single parent time.

Questions: Is everyone exclusively sleeping on their left side or are you still sleeping on right, stomach, and back occasionally?

GTKY—What's your favorite movie and why?: I'm horrible a choosing a favorite of anything. My top 5: Igby Goes Down, Moonrise Kingdom, Inception, Whale Rider, and Looper. Pure enjoyment is the reason.

Upcoming Appointments: General visit on 2/25; anatomy scan on 3/29

How are you feeling?: Overall pretty good. Still mostly just tired but have been noticing a little bit of sensitivity in my teeth already

Rants/Raves: DD sat on the potty a bunch this weekend! Didn't actually go in it but the fact she asked to go sit on it feels like a mini win for us. Also, I HAD to lay down and nap/rest for a little bit yesterday and it was right when DD woke up from her nap. My DH apparently couldn't take the hint that I just wanted to relax for a bit and kept letting DD walk into the room and climb in the bed and she kept trying to play with me. Eventually, he walked in and turned the light on and played with her in our room, while I'm in bed under the covers! Ummm hello, I said I needed to rest for a bit, thanks for the break!

GTKY—What's your favorite movie and why?: Oh man, this is hard but I will say, I could watch Ever After on repeat and not get tired of it.

Est. Due Date / Weeks + Days: They just moved it from 8/17 to 8/24 but based on last u/s it would be 8/14....so I am sticking in this group as the happy medium because I think by EDD will be moved again.

Upcoming Appointments: nothing for 3 weeks.

How are you feeling?: More energy, less nauseous most days.

Rants/Raves: I am sick of fighting for DDs needs to be met from doctors, schools and insurance companies. It has been a year of non stop phone calls and visits and I am just over it right now. Dealing with the mental exhaustion of it all on top of the pregnancy symptoms is just rough.

Questions: none.

GTKY—What's your favorite movie and why? I would have to think on that, I suck at choosing favorites.

@EmilyA724 this is baby #3 for me and I have never focused on sleeping on a specific side. I am naturally a side sleeper so I just fall asleep on whichever side is most comfortable and often switch throughout the night. During the day I continue to lay on my back and stomach and will continue doing so until it is no longer comfortable.

How are you feeling?: getting better. some slight nausea but so much better. I'm still pretty exhausted by 8pm but that's getting a little better too.

Rants/Raves: DH as some sort of virus and is home sick. I hope like hell he doesn't share and is feeling better tonight. While not impossible its a hand full doing bed time and the morning routine all by myself with 3 kids.That and DD2 must be teething or something because she was up every 2 hours last night... uggg.

Questions: I don't think so.

GTKY—What's your favorite movie and why? oh its so hard to pick, bull durham, love actually, 4 weddings and a funeral, old school star wars, harry potter...

@emilya724 I still sleep on my back, some on my side but mostly on my back. I figure my body will tell me when I need to spend more time on my side.

@lilmamabebe3 that was a hell of a deal on the stroller! sorry for the migraine yesterday, they suck. I hope your feeling better today.

@Allycat11 Ugh. Sorry about the uphill battle. I don't remember if you've referenced what its for, but I know how tough it can be to be the only advocate for a loved one. SO much pressure and responsibility.

Upcoming Appointments: Regular check up February 15. I anticipate she'll use the Doppler so our regular peeks at baby are probably over.

How are you feeling?: Still pretty rough. nausea is better, but still dry heaving a lot at strong smells and still exhausted.

Rants/Raves: With my first baby, the second trimester was the magic cure all for my exhaustion and morning sickness, but I feel like there is no end in sight here.

@lilmamabebe3 I totally agree that 20 weeks is "pregnant" pregnant! This is just... the blobby, annoying, and scary stage!

@EmilyA724 oooh I also took daily heartburn meds last pregnancy (Protonix/omeprazole) and am biding my time until it's time to do it for this pregnancy too! So far I've only had occasional heartburn but I remember it starting to get bad early in the 2nd tri last time.

Upcoming Appointments: OB appointment this Wednesday, just a regular check-up. My NT scan was this past Wednesday but I'm already anxious to hear the heartbeat again.

How are you feeling?: I think the first tri low grade constant queasiness is gone for good. Still very tired, but I've had a lot going on (extra work projects, two-week houseguests, teething toddler) so I'd be tired regardless, so this is like extra mega tired!

Rants/Raves: I love my guests (middle/high school friend and her daughter visiting from outside the country) but I'm ready to have my house and routine back!

Questions: @EmilyA724 I never really sleep exclusively on my left side because I switch around a lot, but I'm mainly a side sleeper in general. I'll sometimes wind up on my back but it's not a big deal to sleep like that a little bit!

GTKY—What's your favorite movie and why?: It's also hard for me to narrow it down to just one since it totally depends! Some of my go-tos are the Monty Python movies, especially Life of Brian; some early Woody Allen (though yikes with his behavior) especially the spoof on Russian literature Love and War; for dramas I rewatch the Godfather movies a lot, and Bergman's The Seventh Seal; but also I'll never turn down a Lord of the Rings marathon!

@lilmamabebe3 I have the select and love it! It gets heavy when you add the second seat and a similar sized toddler but it’s awesome as a single!

Upcoming Appointments: NT test was today—everything looked good and they expect the NIPT which they drew blood for to come back low risk in about 2 weeks. I’m kind of in shock that it went well. Next appointment is March 11th

How are you feeling?: pretty good. Can’t tell if it’s the B6 I’ve been taking 3 times a day or if I was just going to feel better, but I’m taking the B6 for a bit longer just in case

Rants/Raves: my nurse walked my medical records down to Maternally Fetal Medicine for the 2nd time (they also faxed the records twice) and handed them to a former coworker. I’m supposed to call my nurse Wednesday morning if I still haven’t heard from MFM so she can go yell at them again. I need to get in to discuss me staying on or going off lovenox and the accreta/complications I had with my daughter.

@Allycat11 granted it was 32 years ago and they weren’t quite as induction happy, but my mom never had a due date with me and I turned out fine! She just had her bags packed for a very long time.

@cato99 with DD heartburn came much later and I was able to get by on just tums (I was convinced she was going to be bald and was shocked when she was born with a full head of hair). I was surprised by how early it started this time and when the doctor offered it I definitely accepted because I figured it was only going to get worse.

@EmilyA724 i think if this was my first baby I would be really anxious about not having an accurate EDD. Surprisingly it does not phase me this time because babies come when they want. Both of my other 2 were born early, with this being number 3 and a summer baby, I am fairly sure I will go on the early side.

@lilmamabebe3 great choice on the city select, it is awesome!

@ash0625 it is so tough to be their only advocate. DH is amazing and supportive but advocating is not his thing at all. DD for sure has been diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, mixed sleep apnea (which did not fully resolve after adenotonsillectomy or bipap), an enlarged aortic root and ascending aorta and RLS. She also has been diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety and sensory issues. Her medical team thinks she has a connective tissue disease or neuromuscular disease but has not been able to pinpoint which one yet...so about a dozen other concerning symptoms that tie into that.

@Allycat11 That is so stressful. I've had to be DH's advocate (he has struggled with pretty severe combat PTSD) and that was tough enough. I can't imagine having to take on all that for my child. You're wonder woman.

How are you feeling?: Mostly fine. Getting my energy back thankfully. Odd minor twinges yesterday in my lower abdomen but I read something about things stretching so I assume its that. My bloodwork is concerning but I'm on extra folic acid to help.

Rants/Raves: People that have children and don't care for them unless its for posting a selfie on facebook and getting "likes"

Questions: hmm...when will it stop raining?

@agpandme oh my gosh, my nanny is pretty young (22 next week) and she has a friend that is like that. She tells me stories about how this young woman has two kids (had them very young and seems very resentful) and they are always with her ex or her parents. That she complains about spending any money at all on her kids but spends over a thousand dollars a month for her horses. And she's all over facebook with meme sharing shit that says stuff about, "If you love your daughter..." and stuff like that. The whole thing is insane.

I only heard stories about it because I had my nanny come with me to take the boys to our science museum one day. I randomly took a day off and since I pay her a salary, I figured she could still come and help since she was getting paid anyway. She took a call from this girl in the car as I was driving us to lunch and I heard her (the friend) say, "Why did she even bring you? Can she not take care of her own kids?" I was so pissed, but didn't say anything. But my nanny got off the phone and apologized and went on a rant about it. I don't even think they are friends anymore because our nanny has become such a close part of our family and does a lot of family things with us (when we host parties, we bring her out to dinner a lot, etc) and she was so upset on my behalf, especially considering the source.

@lilmamabebe3 holy heck is your nannys friend my sister!? My sister literally had a baby just to beat her ex fiance in a rat race to parenthood. They did the same thing with their engagement. Her baby daddy (now husband) didn't want to care for the baby when my sister went to horse shows so our mom had the baby for 3 weeks straight once (give or take an evening or two). It makes me want to smack her because on Fakebook she is up on a pedestal as this "Gorgeous Super mom entrepreneur" when shes actually just a Cosmetologist narcissist absentee parent that only posts photos of her kid to get more "likes". Its really disturbing. Our other sister is actually the super mom. 3 kids and always attentive and doing things with them while balancing a job. But shes not covered in makeup so no one cares.

Upcoming Appointments: had my 12 week appt last week and I won't have another one until 16 weeks

How are you feeling?: I'm feeling a lot better! I had a ton of nausea from 6wk-11wk, and my constipation is controlled with daily Colace. This week I have finally been able to tolerate my coffee again. Thank goodness!!

Rants/Raves: Rant: I live in WI and we've been getting pounded with snow! Rave: nausea seems to be going away
