How are you feeling?: good. Still really no symptoms

Rants/Raves: I’m loving having the Doppler. I can easily see myself getting obsessed so I told myself I can only use it on days after I run and if I can’t find it in 5-10 mins then I stop and try again later.

GTKY: Have you started a nursery yet? Tell us about it even if you haven’t! H and I haven’t really talked about it yet but I want elegant princess-y. We’re big Disney nuts so they’re are some castle/glass slipper/carriage artwork that I want.

Upcoming Appointments: Tuesday I ha e my nurse appt at the new office.

How are you feeling?: tired, nauseous, crampy, anxious, itchy (forgot about this odd pregnancy symptom, moody and I have a cold.

Rants/Raves: Short version: last night both kids oddly passed out before dinner time and DH decided we should let them sleep. Unfortunately he was not the one who has been up all night with them and will not be home all day with them thanks to another effing snow day.

Questions: nope.

GTKY: Have you started a nursery yet? Tell us about it even if you haven’t! Ha, no. I am still praying this one actually sticks and is still growing. We are moving DS to my office, my office to the living room and baby will go in the room DS currently has. Since we are team green and the walls are grey, we literally have no plans to touch it, aside from converting the toddler bed back to crib and putting in some clothes, until baby arrives. Honestly in our house the babies are barely in the nursery for several months.

*Also, I promise I am not always as cranky as these posts make me sound. DH has literally had 4 days off since Thanksgiving, modified bed rest is taking a toll on my mental health, our routine is all out of whack from Christmas break, teacher inservice days and snow days, and we have been dealing with bonus family drama due to holidays and new baby.*

@purplg8r we are huge Disney fanatics as well! I definitely would love to see pics of the princess nursery when it is done! DD-6 has an over the top gaudy princess room...adults roll their eyes at it but kids get so excited when they see it.

No we are planning on buying a house so I can't start until we move. Depends on gender if it's a girl we will probably go simple with a floral design. For a boy I am thinking Canadian wildlife (deer, moose, bear, fox etc..)

How are you feeling?: slowly getting better. the nausea and fatigue are still there but not as intense.

This kid will be with us for a while and then DD2 will get bumped from her room and go in with her older siblings. maybe just maybe the alphabet hand/foot print art work we started for DD2 will actully be finished and go up on the walls before this baby is born...

How are you feeling?: Like garbage. I finally pooped today so I hope I start to feel better. The vomiting is so up and down. I will have a good day and be like, okay I am coming out of this, and then the next day I don't leave the bathroom because the dry heaving is too much and nothing can help.

Rants/Raves: I am annoyed that Cousyl results are taking what feels so long. I just want to know if the baby is okay. It's stressing me out so much.

GTKY: Have you started a nursery yet? Tell us about it even if you haven’t! I haven't but I think I want to do a Harry Potter theme, but not cheesy, something very subtle. If this baby is a girl, that won't happen because the nursery is going to be my current office and it's painted this Malibu Barbie blue / teal color and my husband does not want to paint over it.

Upcoming Appointments: 2/11 is NT and NIPT blood draw. Also waiting for MFM to contact me to schedule an appointment!

How are you feeling?: tired and nauseous on and off but it has been less intense. I've had some FUN mood swings though and then feel terrible after losing it.

Rants/Raves: I AM SO OVER WINTER. We got another 6 inches of snow today and DH said the snow blower broke this morning while he was doing the driveway. The forecasted high on Wednesday is -14 and we probably will be in school until July at this rate. At least they didn't cancel today!

Not really sure where that endpoint is...we had DD in with us until 5 months and may do some room shuffling so the baby is closer (if this turns into an actual baby). It all seems so far off right now.

How are you feeling?: Fat and hungry. I can't wait until I actually look pregnant, I hate my clothes right now.

Rants/Raves: I have been MIA for a bit, had DD's birthday on 1/19 with out of town guests, then I got a cold. Finally starting to feel more normal because I have been miserable.

Upcoming Appointments: waiting for my NIPT results to be released this week, which in its way feels like an upcoming appointment! Then we have the NT ultrasound a week from Wednesday (2/6), and my next OB appt the Wednesday after that (2/13)

How are you feeling?: I feel like this is the first trimester that will never end. I'm still so sleepy! The nausea/queasiness/smell sensitivity isn't as constant as it was a couple of weeks ago, but comes in waves instead and kind of blindsides me whenever I feel like I'm finally feeling better!

Rants/Raves: I haven't gained any weight yet this pregnancy but I'm really weird and lumpy looking! I can't decide whether to bring out actual maternity clothes yet (I have plenty of loose non-maternity clothing that works anyway)

Questions: none right now!

GTKY: Have you started a nursery yet? Tell us about it even if you haven’t! This baby won't get his or her own nursery. He/she will be in our room for a while (DD was with us 10 months but I will probably transition this one sooner) and then will move in with DD (our house has a weird layout and the other bedrooms are too far away to put little ones in until they're older). So the only major question is what to do with sleeping arrangements: will DD get a big-girl bed and new baby takes the crib, or will we convert the current crib to a toddler bed and get a new sleep set-up for baby?

DD's nursery/room has a woodland theme with birch trees and owls: the main color scheme is green, white, and brown (for the birch tree decals) and a few pink accents. So if this one's a boy I will also add light blue accents (like an additional throw pillow or blanket, and add blue-tinged leaves to the tree wall decals) but I won't do any major decor overhaul.

@cato99 Same. No weight gain but already transitioned to maternity pants at least for the sake of feeling comfortable at the end of the day.

How are you feeling?: Feeling pretty good actually. Got some R&R in this weekend which was nice.

Rants/Raves: I argued with DH about cleaning the cat litter box this morning. He is not as adamant about the cleaning schedule as I was and it's annoying me. DD started in her new class at daycare this morning and was a champ this morning being dropped off with her new teacher!

Rants/Raves: My sister asked me about throwing a baby shower. Honestly I don't want one but my husband does (LOL). My sister told me that people are going to want to touch my belly. I am NOT okay with that. I don't even like my husband touching my stomach. I certainly don't want everyone else touching it. Why are pregnant women petting zoos?

Been thinking more about the room we are moving DS (almost 3) into, he is obsessed with African animals so I think I’m going to put this wallpaper on one wall behind his bed. His furniture will be black and white and there will be plenty of color from all his toys, books, etc. for the nursery, if it’s a girl I want to do an accent wall with big flower wallpaper and a white crib. My rocker is mint green/blueish. If it’s another boy I’ll probably keep the room mostly the same. It has a navy blue wall with grey herringbone stripes.

Questions: This may be better in the ask a STM thread, but I've been looking at day care/child care centers. I've asked about ratio, what is included in price, wait list, and scheduled tours. Any thing big that I'm missing that I should be asking? I'm planning to tour 2 places later this week.

GTKY: Have you started a nursery yet? Tell us about it even if you haven’t! Nope, we briefly discussed how we plan to arrange furniture, but other than that no real talks about theme or anything. I was thinking maybe a travel/adventure theme (we can use/frame old maps and guide books from our vacations together), storybook characters (we have a few prints I'm considering framing) or "wonderful world." (we already have something hanging in what will be the nursery with some of the lyrics on it.) They would all be gender neutral and wouldn't require us to buy a lot of things.

@Avrilmai some other daycare questions: How many are trained in CPR, are all infants on the same schedule or do they adjust with each infant, how often do they change diapers, if you live somewhere where there is snow: what's the snow day policy, what is the policy for bringing in breast milk and or formula, once they are a year old what is provided in terms of milk and solid food (ie. breakfast, do you have to pack a lunch) and if food is provided do they offer allergen-free options if needed.

@avrilmai do they require vaccination, do they follow your child's schedule or does the child follow the daycare schedule, do they have a quiet nap room, do they cloth diaper (if your interested in that), what are the rules regarding BM (if you plan to BF, the regulations can vary widely by facility) what food or formula is provided. can they sleep in swings/bouncers. if they send the child home and you have a doctors note for an infectious reason they can't be at daycare do they credit you for that time? what kind of communication do they have with the parent? do they take pictures? can you watch them on a camera, rules and regs for people picking up children, how closely is access into the facility monitored? (ie is there someone at the front desk? a special code? or can you just walk in and walk out with a kid and not have hardly a question asked?) also I would just show up for a tour, that way you can see what is really going on and not something they have spruced up. How do they handle discipline?

@purplg8r you're not a slacker, in my area, wait lists can get really long. A friend went on a tour in May 2018 and was told her spot would be available in Sept. 2019! The places I'm looking into aren't quite that long of a wait, but some are about a year.

Upcoming appointments: we just had our first ultrasound last week, so nothing until a check up prenatal on 2/15.
How are you feeling?: Always exhausted, just started getting queasy and I’m not loving it.
Rants/Raves: I cant fit into my normal jeans anymore without having to use a rubber band for the button, so I guess that means MORE EXCUSES TO WEAR STRETCHY PANTS!!
Questions: nothing
GTKY: no nursery yet, my SO and I live in a pretty small apartment still, so hopefully moving out within the next few months before baby just to have a little more space (and lose the roommate!!), but when the time comes, I’d LOVE to do a Dr. Seuss kind of theme... that’s all I really have for now though. Maybe more ideas will come when we find the sex out in a few weeks!
