@zuuls_mom I feel like I could've written your exact list!! I'm in Canada so no Chick fil a but I love me a good McDonalds iced coffee!!! I also think I've watched and rewatched Friends far too many times than I'd care to admit haha, I also find it comforting and it's my go to when I need a break or just some background noise 😁
I love tea.. London Fogs are my jam On warm days, I really enjoy ice coffee from McDonalds
I'm a teacher as well so I'm constantly Pinteresting and trying to get ideas for my classroom
Quilting.. I'm a beginner for sure but I love spending time finding cool patterns and sewing quilts
Netflix. Friends and How I Met Your Mother are my go to shows when I have nothing else or just need some background noise. I also love a good documentary or crime series
DH and I are both geeks and wouldn't have it any other way.
Star Wars, Harry Potter, GoT are probably my favorites.
I can't wait to start reading these!
Reading/Writing: I'll give anything a try, but on top of the fantasy/sci Fi, I also love me some Nora Roberts trilogies. Predictable, but a guilty pleasure all the same.
Knitting: I'm a beginner, but love the craft. I just wish I had more time.
Video Games: DH and I have a collection of most Nintendo consoles, just missing the SNES, WiiU and Switch. He's Xbox while I'm Playstation/PC games.
Okay, it is so fun reading about you guys! I feel like I could totally hang out with all of you IRL. ❤
I also LOVE that so many of you are HP fans!!! I, too, am obsessed with HP! For our honeymoon in Sept 2018, DH and I saw HP and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theater in London. We also did the HP Studio Tour where they filmed all the movies just outside of London. So amazing!!
Other things I love: - Paris - Red wine - Dogs, but especially my yellow/red lab, Penny, aka my 75lb lap dog. - Travelling abroad - Sunshine & warm weather (the beach!) - Old movies. The Wizard of Oz is my all time FAVORITE. Also anything with Audrey Hepburn. - A well made cup of coffee. Starbucks is always great. At home, I use a French Press. - I am a total homebody, and am happiest when I am in PJs, on the couch with a cozy blanket, and cuddling with my dog. That is heaven.
@nomangos23 Pit Bulls are the BEST. My BFF had one growing up and she was the sweetest love bug!
@zuuls_mom HP us LIFE!! I totally feel you that it's your safe space. I feel the exact same way.
@kgg2241 there is nothing like feeling confident with a great hair/makeup/outfit day! I love getting "dolled up!"
@tacos-and-taquitos over the last few years I've been getting into Indian food. I love all the rich flavors! New food and new places add a bit of spice to everyday life.
@lillywonderland yes to everything British! I loved London, and really want to spend some time in the English Countryside.
@blitzybee warm sunshine and cozy/soft anything also make me endlessly happy! The little things in life, right?
@mommyshark13 totally agree --- there is just nothing like summer! You must live in a place with cold winters? We LIVE for summer in MN.
@keikilove oh my gosh, yesssss to all of those foods! We totally have the same palate.
@mlkapp aweee, I LOVE that you rescued your pup! I'm all teary over here (thanks hormones!) Also, totally the same on continuously rewatching The Office. Still makes me LOL every time!
@themadcamel so cool that your Dad is 1st generation Italian, and that you enjoy cooking traditional italian. I bet you have some fantastic family recipes!
@rms924 your coffee order sounds delicious!! Pulling back on caffeine has sure been a challenge!
@ternsetc baking and donuts and ice cream, oh my! I too have a big sweet tooth. And rereading HP is a favorite pastime.
@moxyligeia you and your DH sound like me and my DH. We always have a show that we watch together each night. It's our time to relax and unwind together. And YAAAS to naps!
@cmdesigner warm blanky + fur babies + tea/coffee is literally all I want to do after a long week! Nothing finer.
@jejs ice cream is a staple in our home! You sound like such a devoted Momma and Teacher - what an impact you are making on the next generation! You are LIFE GOALS.
@bostonlady-2 CFA biscuit (both the spicy and the original) is one of my favorite breakfasts!! So good! Oh, and red wine. That has been the hardest thing to give up.
@TeacherMama7 HP, red wine, and museums -- I feel like we could be BFFs IRL! Also, you are Mom goals!
@dolewhipper aaahhh, WW is on my bucket list! You are so lucky to live near Disney and Universal.
@kagesstarshroom Happy People was my Dad's favorite! He sat me down and made me watch it, and I loved it. My Dad is gone now, but that documentary will forever remind me of him.
@kaitlyntu14 I admire anyone who has the skill and patience to sew 🙌 Good for you for trying your hand at quilting! Sounds challenging but fun.
@yoshi882 first of all, your name is AWESOME (I love Yoshi!) I love pretty much every Mario game ever made, but especially the Paper Mario series.
Wow, I feel like I need to tag everyone on this thread! Are we all sisters from another mister?!?! In lieu of actually tagging you all, here's my list:
1) Running. Trail running, pavement pounding, solo, with a friend, racing, pacing. I love it all. Winters are always a little tough (I live in CO), but I usually still get out at least 1-2/week. I schedule my OB appts for 9am so I have time to run and shower beforehand. It's my sneaky way of getting a bonus run in that feels like an indulgence.
2) Completely inappropriate rap songs. I've scaled this back since the arrival of DS because everything sounds as wrong as it is now that he's here, but I LOVE singing along to all of it. My (kind of embarrassing) favorites are Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Usher (swoon), and Ja Rule. I just learned about the Fyre documentary from a coworker and am planning to watch it as soon as I have an hour without DH around (he's not a fan).
3) Cookies and ice cream. Yum. Chocolate chip cookies are by far my favorite. I don't discriminate when it comes to ice cream, but I prefer the more traditional side of the house (not the fruity or Superman flavors).
4) Reading. I'm in the same boat as other posters - I almost exclusively "read" audiobooks these days - but I manage to read 3-4/month. I have a family book club, a neighborhood book club, DH and I read books together and I usually have 1 other one going. I'm a HP fan, but I didn't read them until I was an adult, so I feel like I'm too late to the party to claim any street cred. I can't wait until DS is old enough to read them!
