I think 3D ultrasounds are less creepy when the baby is further along. My SIL had hers around 25 weeks, and it was so cool to be able to identify my niece's facial features (she looks a lot like my brother ❤️).
I wouldn’t pay more or get a special 3D, but with DD the machine they were using for the anatomy scan could just switch to “3D mode” so we got a few then. It was a little weird, but kind of cool.

@deecherise - I'm with you there. People in SC are even worse. I don't know how, but it's possible. My sister lives in Missouri, she always sends me pictures whenever she sees someone with SC plates driving like their head's up their ass, and I send her MO people (though people don't seem to get out as much from there).

I don't believe in forcing kids to show affection to people they don't want to. I don't care if you're family. I don't care if your feelings are hurt. My kid can choose who he hugs and kisses. If you aren't one of those people, try harder. You are welcome to ask him, but if he says no then we respect that.
@WinchesterGirl Yes! A friend told his toddler to hug me when they were leaving a mutual friends party. I’ve seen this kid maybe 4 times in his life, he looked so concerned. he wanted to listen to his dad, but clearly didn’t want to hug me (a stranger), so I told him he didn’t have to. Poor little guy still looked concerned so I offered him a high five instead and he was all about that.

@chillycanadian lol! If I followed that logic we would be exiling all elderly people and big men from our home. Love our dog but I don’t trust her to judge people for me... I think she judges based on size and the way people walk.

I don’t really have a u/o but I like conversations where I can bring up my dogs I may have encouraged my female dog to growl/bark at men we don’t know when we are out on walks alone But in our house I can’t think of a single person she has not seemed to like. Our boy dogs are pickier, especially our middle child who I think was abused by men - he follows new men and even men he’s met before around our house barking for about the first 10 minutes. Except our male house sitter who he’s in love with.
We had a 3D u/s with our daughter when I was pretty far along — maybe 30-32 weeks? It was actually pretty amazing. And I agree, @WinchesterGirl — no forced affection!
