@marebear15 me too! I’m still freaking out. I kinda think I’m more happy and nervous at the same time for #2 than I was for #1. KWIM? Like this weekend I was putting DS in his car seat in our tiny coupe and I was like “ah f*ck we need another new car ASAP because I can’t do that when I’m in 3rd tri”

@lillywonderland - #2 is going to be a big change! But at the same time, I feel more prepared because I've done everything before. I know when to expect morning sickness to hit and how long it will last, etc. But this time we are doing it all over with toddlers, which freaks me out!

@marebear15 Truth! Toddlers are tiny little dictators and it is going to be interesting. This pregnancy is already different from the first since I haven’t had heartburn yet and I had it around this time with DS. Also, confession: I didn’t have MS last time. 😬 (please don’t hate me!!)

@lillywonderland @marebear15 being a STM with a toddler is definitely giving me a run for my money! I am pretty terrified. DS can be the sweetest little boy, but just yesterday he decided to grab my hair repeatedly as hard as he could until I cried and then asked in a confused tone "What happened, mama? You okay?". OMG

My random for today is that I had a dream last night that I was on a flight to NY and they served us dinner (don't remember) and dessert (blueberry crumble). I was STOKED for that blueberry crumble. Then as I was walking through the airport in NY to head...somewhere? It hit me that I had totally forgotten to eat my delicious dessert and I was SO SAD.

@lillywonderland - I hope I'm as lucky as you were last time! Even though I basically threw up every morning for 3 months straight, I had a fairly easy 2nd and 3rd trimester, so I tried not to complain to much.

@zuuls_mom - That sounds like the most delicious and saddening dream ever!

My ear feels like it has fluid in it, and every time I move my head quickly, I can feel it sloshing. I hope it doesn't turn into an ear infection.
In other news, my DD has her 15 month appointment today, and I'm always so excited to see how much she's grown! Also, at her 12 month, she could only say 3 words and my ped was a tad "concerned", but more like "Why is she ahead on everything except her speech?" I told my ped, "Because she's been focusing on everything else, she'll catch up." Now, she can say 35 words including a few phrases!
What's on everyone's agenda today?

@marebear15 I just made DS’s 18mo appt...and he’s almost 20mo. Whoopsie. Can I have #secondkidproblems for a first kid? 😂

@lillywonderland - DD is almost 16 months now, but that was the earliest her ped could get her in after the holidays. And you totally can have 2nd kid problems! I blame it on growing up with a ton of siblings. "Oh she's eating something off the floor? Is it food? She'll live." Etc.

We actually haven't done the meeting yet. It got postponed until the beginning of February, so it gave us a little more time to edit all the videos. I saw one of my coworkers editing my bit and at least I looked nice! No idea how I sounded.

@lillywonderland - I wore a silver striped sweater, a black skirt, and brown riding boots. Pretty staple for me for winter.

@chichiphin - No, not changing jobs, I love mine! I was interviewed about my job. Several people in my office were interviewed as well, and then we are making a video of it to present at a company-wide meeting. The meeting is supposed to showcase different departments and show how we all work together to promote our end goal. The meeting was supposed to be last week but it got postponed until the beginning of February.

I guess this is more of a confession than a random, but I told H I had to go to a work dinner tonight and am currently sitting alone at a Wendy’s enjoying the peace, quiet and a spicy chicken sandwich while he wrangles DS into bed.

I kinda sorta almost (but not really) burned down the kitchen. Who would have thought that steaks are really greasy and can catch fire whilst broiling?! Makes me feel like a total cooking noob!! Bahahahah.

Our over the stove microwave has died. The two incidents are NOT related, I swear!! The microwave kicked it officially last night, but was holding on for a day or two before the fire incident.

Did you guys know Amazon sells microwaves? They totally do!! Just another reason to love Amazon!!

Once we bought a generator from Amazon! It came with a part that was broken, so we tried to do a return and instead they sent us a whole new generator, free of charge! We ended up getting the part from the manufacturer for free as well. That was an amazing week.

@chichiphin struggle is real at work for me, too. Full on slept on the train this morning and I am still dragging. It doesn't help that I am in a slight lull of work today. We're also getting the storm, but I'm in the lower Hudson Valley in NY so we are getting 5-8 inches plus ice. Super not excited about this.

OMG @marebear15 great find! You could almost tell by the spelling and grammar mistakes that it was someone trying too hard to fake it.

The snack machine at work just keeps spitting my money back out at me and all I wanted in life was some Cheddar and Sour Cream chips :'( Baby is not willing to accept the carrots I'm trying to offer as a substitute...

@klpv415 I was at my RE's office this morning and we had to wait in the exam room forEVER for the Dr. to come and do the US. MH and I were discussing whether or not we'd be able to make it work if we tried to do it ourselves! Granted this was the dildo cam and not the abdominal machine, but we determined the results probably wouldn't be great. Then we spent some time pondering if the doctor would ever be replaced by a robot doing ultrasounds... but I digress.
The real moral of this story is don't leave an anxious couple alone in an exam room for 20 minutes and expect them not to play with your expensive US equipment...
