Complete Placenta Previa and ultrasounds

At 19 weeks I had My anatomy scan. I was told I had complete placenta previa. I moved across country to be closer to our families while my husbands deployed. My first appointment at my new OBs office was at 23weeks they didnt mention anything about the complete placenta previa. When I asked at the end she just that she were sure itd resolve by itself and to take it easy etc etc. I didn't want to be rude so I just said ok and thank you, I'm a little confused My OB in NY had told me id need at least 2 more ultrasounds before giving birth. And most likely would be via Cesceran. At my 27 week appointment at my new OB, I did my 50mg glucose test.( I looked at my results on my patient portal the next day, it was 84 which is marked as normal 🤗, what were everyone else's numbers?) When I saw my OB after getting my  blood drawn, I asked about having an ultrasound to see if the placenta had moved. She said they weren't planning on doing one until about 34-35weeks. I was a little taken aback. I told her I've been walking around feeling like a ticking time bomb (super dramatic analogy, but I'm sure others can relate) so finding out I was going to have to wait almost another 2 months was a little stressful. She told me she understood but they didnt want to have to do multiple unnecessary ultrasounds... I thought complete placenta previa made ultrasounds at least somewhat necessary...is this normal? One of my best friends is pregnant also and she gets ultrasounds like every appointment. Idk maybe it's an Oregon thing? Anyone else in portland area, and do you get ultrasounds regularly ?
