R/R: so glad its Friday! Having dinner with my family tonight for my SILs birthday.
CS/Q: so I already messed SMEP up lol, we BD on CD7 and planned to again last night on CD8 but we had unexpected company arrive. Should we just keep going EOD (7,9,11, etc) or should we skip tonight CD9 and pick back up tomorrow on CD10? Does it matter? Also making an attempt at CP and CM this month, but I'm already unsure about it lol.

R/R: DH made me so angry in the car last night that I didn’t speak for the last 150 miles of our drive. If you couldn’t tell I also had a really bad day yesterday. Rant in spoiler
CS/Q: not much different than yesterday haha
CD: 10
WAYDTGKU: testing, metformin, bbt
R/R: my brother is leaving today. Kind of looking forward to having things back to normal, but we had a nice visit. Also found out my mil and sil will be visiting sometime in March. Kind of surprised and will be shocked if they actually follow through. They have never made an effort to come to us. My mil always asks when we will be going to them when we talk.
CS/Q: not really exciting. Vaginal temping is the way to go though. I did the chart overlay and it looks so much better than my previous charts.
@b_1029 I am so sorry you had a bad day and that your H tried to shut you down. You are going to feel the way you feel and you are allowed those feelings. Nobody wants to go through these ups and downs. I don't think it's possible to have a positive attitude about it 24/7.
@kimmer1412 don't worry too much about the SMEP timing at the very beginning. I think it's more important to keep it up when you get a + OPK.
Month/Cycle: 6/6 (benched until next cycle)

WAYDTGKU: Prenatal vitamins, Fertility Friend, HIO, SMEP, OPKs, temping, red raspberry leaf tea.
R/R: My friend and I are going to tea this afternoon. It's a little tradition we started last year. We treat each other to tea for our birthdays (mine was last week). It will be nice to get out of the house and go somewhere quiet and relaxing.
CS/Q: Nope.
@b_1029 Husbands are hard. I won't say they don't have skin in the game, they do, but it's suuuuuuch a different perspective to them. My DH pretty much just pretends it isn't happening and just doesn't respond at all when I have frustrations. I know they care, but they don't feel the crushing responsibility that we do to start our families. I try to explain it in way DH can understand but when I put it into context that he can relate to (usually has something to do with racing cars since that's what he does for a living) he claims us TTC is nothing like that. Sigh. TTGP is a hard thing to discuss unless you've got a close girlfriend who has struggled too. And even harder when she gets KU and leaves you behind in the dust. I'm sorry you're struggling. I'm hoping this is the best quality O you've ever had!!
@kimmer1412 I think you're okay to stick with either of the suggestions you came up with.

R/R: Rant: I am so tired. We have been non-stop with our home renovations plus we hosted Christmas. Last night DH's family stopped by right after I got home at 7:30 and I didn't get to eat until 9 because they Just Kept Talking. Rave: It's Friday! I get to leave work a little early and I'm excited to do a bit of relaxing tonight. Hopefully no drop ins?

R/R: Rant: I've started the panic mode where I'm counting down days until I have to go back to work
Rave: Saw Aquaman last night on a whim date night and it was a lovely time. Also, I'm planning a spa day on Monday that I'm very excited about. Boy do I need a massage!
CS/Q: Ok can we talk about EWCM? What consistency should it be? I had some yesterday that was definitely clear and definitely stretchy but was dense in consistency. Almost gel like? Is that normal?
@b_1029 I'm sorry YH smacked you down like that. To his credit, that's pretty astute of him to even understand that TTTC is a "thing", some guys don't get that at all. Your feelings are absolutely valid, and as we like to say around TTGP, nobody plays the pain olympics here. It is absolutely a frustrating, maddening process, especially for the women, and maybe a little for the men that have to deal with us
@kbrown2385 amen to wanting things to get back to normal after the holidays. Glad you had a nice visit with your brother, and wow about your MIL/SIL! Hopefully that's a good thing they're making an effort to come in this time? // 1000x yes to vaginal temping being the way to go.
@emeraldduchess tea with your friend sounds so lovely and so civilized, lol. Is it like high tea with those little finger sandwiches and cookies? I don't feel mature enough to go to those kinds of places
@shamrocandroll I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you on your month/cycle question. Happy for you that you can finally move on from your last cycle though!
@cmdesigner hi there! Your Christmas sounds like mine, we've been living in reno hell for the last 2.5 months then hosted 4 gatherings in 3 days at our place. FX for no drop-ins tonight and you can get some rest! // Your temps are looking good, other than your open circles from your crazy schedule!
@nomangos23 hi girllll, love your new DP! Spa day sounds phenomenal, can I come with? My MIL owes me a spa day for my birthday back in Sept but after several months of scheduling conflicts she's stopped trying to find an alternate date and I don't know how to bring it up again. Also, *TW* I'm still a little salty about it because the only day she can go is on a Saturday but that's now her babysitting day and she doesn't like to give it up so I guess I'm not getting my spa day. Once again, new nephew trumps everything.

R/R: I think my rant is obvious. I had a small meltdown last night. Cried for about 3 hours straight. Could cry at any moment now, over nothing/everything.
Rave: it's Friday. My BFF and her bf are coming to stay over tonight. She's my MOH but lives on the other side of the country so I only see her once or twice a year. She also hasn't seen our new house so we're really excited to have them over. Tomorrow morning we're going shopping for my wedding gown!!!

@kiki047 wedding dress shopping is so exciting! Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the visit with your BFF!
@cmdesigner welcome! Here’s hoping to a nice, guest free weekend!
@shamrocandroll that sounds right for the month/cycle explanation. I honestly have no idea though and will probably be restarting from 1 because I’ve lost track at this point.
@emeraldduchess an afternoon at tea sounds so nice and relaxing! Enjoy!
@b_1029 hope work flies by for you today! Sorry dh reacted like that. Your feelings are most certainly valid and nothing you should have to feel guilty for.
@kiki047 I hate that you’re back in wto. Hopefully you’ll get to say yes to the dress tomorrow!!! Where are you going? What style are you into? Can you post a few of your favs? OMG HAVE SO MUCH FUN WITH YOUR MOH/BFF!! Also, when you come visit Palm Springs this spring come take a trip out to the beach and we can go to my favorite (and only) tea house here in SoCal.
@emeraldduchess Enjoy your tea date! Do they serve scones there? And clotted cream/jam? That is one of the things I miss most about living in England. They “get” my tea addiction.
@nomangos23 Who are you? Lol, jk. Your pup is *almost* as cute as you are.
@b_1029 Dudes just don’t get it, even though YH seems to get it more than most guys. As always, I am here if you need to talk. If you lived closer we could talk IRL over tea. Why don’t you move closer to me?!? 🤣 It doesn’t snow here!
@emeraldduchess thank you
@nomangos23 thank you! He typically doesn't respond either when I'm frustrated. Maybe that's why it made me so mad? I'm so glad we all have each other to relate to because as you said, as much as guys try, they don't understand the pressure. Your spa day sounds awesome and well deserved! I'm not sure on your EWCM question. I think I've gotten that type before but couldn't tell you if it's normal or not. So tired of trying to analyze my CM!!!
@shamrocandroll I wish I could help with your question. I'm glad you were able to move to your next cycle, though!
@cmdesigner welcome! Sounds like a stressful week...hope you are able to rest tonight!
@kiki047 I'm so sorry you're back here and for all the new nephew stuff I've been seeing you post. That has to hurt so much, especially right now. Sending you hugs! I hope you have a blast with your MOH and find the perfect dress tomorrow!! So exciting!
@lillywonderland trust me, I would love to move out there! ha! I'm not sure where in CA you live, but I'm going to San Diego in January, meet me for tea then?
@b_1029 I'm sorry about your fight with DH. That is the worst feeling especially stuck in a car! You definitely get to be frustrated and it doesn't mean you're negative or that you were in the wrong. You were frustrated! If you're negative 100% of the time that's one thing. But everyone deserves an outlet to rant when you're frustrated. I'm sorry it ended up that way
@emeraldduchess I love that tea idea! I just might have to steal it
@shamrocandroll I am so sorry for your loss. I think you're right about the way you calculated the months/cycles. I hope your stay here is short
@cmdesigner Welcome! I hope you get some good R&R!
@nomangos23 I think the stretch factor is really all that matters. Color and consistency can vary. I guess I'm a little confused thought because it's hard to picture a gel consistency as stretchy. In my experience it's more of a snot feel, but, hey, if it stretches, I think you're good!

@lillywonderland they absolutely have scones, jam, and clotted cream! They have a different scone, sandwich, and dessert each month, so you can never get tired of the food. The scone for December is eggnog! The tea menu is also like 5 pages long.
@SA0012 I am so, so sorry for your losses. While it is nice to see you again, I wish it wasn't under these circumstances. // I don't temp through AF so I would think it's ok if you don't have the Ava data either.

@kiki047 Sorry for CD 1
@shamrocandroll Hi! Welcome! The month/cycle part isn't really that important, it just gives fellow readers an idea of how long you've been trying. I've had a few losses too, so I just put in the # of cycles I have charted or was trying to get pregnant. If you started trying in Sept, got a BFPP and had a loss and just got your period, I'd say you have been trying for 2 months now. Hope thats helpful!
Also, I'm toying with the idea of going sugar free in January. And when I say sugar free I mean refined sugar, not anything crazy like the Whole 30 (which I did once and last F O U R days on). Anyone does it? Noticed differences in your body? Worth trying? Give me all the scoop!!
@b_1029, I'm so sorry about your convo with H. It sucks so much when the one person we really need to "get it" in that moment, just.... doesn't. Hugs.
@kiki047, I'm so sorry for CD1. Good luck wedding dress shopping tomorrow!
@nomangos23, cute new photo!!
@SA0012, I'm so very sorry for your back to back losses. I hope you are able to stick to your resolutions and you get the support you need from here. Hugs.

@nomangos23 I was thinking of cutting out refined sugar too! I felt great while on Whole30 but who knows if it was the sugar or not. will be interested to see responses. In any case, I’ll do it with you! (She says as she eats a banana chocolate chip muffin)

@kiki047 I feel the reno hell in a real way. On top of the kitchen every room was painted terrible oranges, reds, spongebob yellow, and then randomly what I have been calling a “violently bright aqua.” In just glad (most of) those colors are gone now.
@cmdesigner I totally feel you on the crazy colored house. When DH and I bought our townhome in 2013, we nicknamed it the "Crayola" house because e.v.e.r.y. single room was a freaking different color. Like bright colors. The kitchen was two bright blues, the living room was purple with orange and yellow, the master was the same ugly blues, the spare bedroom was the orange and yellow again, plus the ugliest black and white floral wallpaper in the vanity area that took days to remove... We decided to paint everything ourselves and with those bright colors, it literally took FOREVER. Next time, I'm hiring a painter.

@nomangos23 I get that type of CM every month. I looked it up earlier today & other women refer to it “like a mucus plug that gets released” in the days before the cervix gets ready to lift & open for ovulation. My cycle timing of this type of CM matches their description perfectly. Hope this helps.
@shamrocandroll You asked the same question I always have in my head about how to report out month/cycle. I use the same method you originally posted because, in my mind, that’s how long we’ve been trying for a take-home baby. We started trying in earnest in June, so I count from there despite our success & then loss.
@all the peeps enjoying tea, it sounds lovely! (I always have a hard time keeping track of tags from my phone, any tips are appreciated!)

WAYDTGKU: Started SMEPing on CD9. Temping, FertilityFriend, reading & re-reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility & It Starts With the Egg—obsessing, basically. PNVs, extra Folate, DHA/Fish Oil, Baby aspirin, Fertility mix of NAC, CoQ10, Vit D3, Vitex, Maca, & DHEA.
R/R: Rave—DH is suddenly super on board w what it takes to make a baby. He is helping a ton around the house, wants me to relax more & avoid stress, he is taking his supplements, & this week said he really wants to try SMEPing it out lol. (Granted, these positive changes came after a huge fight where I said it seemed like he didn’t care at all about anything.) I’m afraid that SMEP might wear him out before we hit the most fertile days.
CS/Q: Almost have a decent chart to share...
@keikilove that's great that your DH has jumped on board. Mine definitely got a wakeup call when he realized how much effort was required on my part besides sex (temping, using OPKs) and stepped it up. Hope the positive changes stick!
Your scones & tea sound amazing!! Wish I’d done high tea when I lived in a
big city where it was available. Sigh.
@b_1029 I'm glad that came across the right way and didn't add to your irritation! Hoping you all are having a wonderful time on your birthday weekend. :-) Honestly, I think we are born with our predispositions toward our outlooks, but can always consciously move more in one direction or another. I try to see it from my husband's perspective, like looking for the "worst that could happen" is actually helping us be the most prepared for whatever comes our way. That helps me turn what I see as 'negativity thinking' into "preparedness planning', and something useful. Also, I ask him to imagine from my perspective "what if nothing goes wrong" in a given situation and we just get to enjoy? Ah, compromise compromise.
