Anatomy scan Wednesday and I’m so freaking excited! I feel so alone in not knowing what I’m having (which I know isn’t the case) but I can’t wait to find out if we are having a prince or a princess. ❤️

Thursday is my day of appointments! I have a cardiac echo with the cardiologist office, my anatomy scan and an appt with the doctor after! I can't wait to find out what we are having!

I have an appointment Thursday. Not sure exactly what they are doing, I think it’s just gonna be a routine one. I actually kind of wish I could put it off until next week because I’ve gained weight over the holidays and I’m pretty sure they are gonna give me grief about it.

My anatomy scan is Thursday. I know what I'm having, but I am ready to make sure baby is okay and healthy. I have been more anxious this pregnancy than ever.

So Jealous of you all getting anatomy scans this week. As an elderly pregnant woman, I have to wait until 20 weeks because i get the full level II with the Heart echo and with MFM consult. January 8th cannot come soon enough!

@chloe97 I’ll be 20+5 tomorrow at my scan. The would not schedule me before 20 weeks, no exceptions!

@chloe97 so the level two ultrasound also has a heart echo? I am just asking because i am scheduled for a level 2 ultrasound at 20wks and a fetal echo at 24wks- they didnt explain the difference from level 1 and level 2 ultrasound

I have my monthly with my OB this Friday including the glucose test. This is just the 1 hour one but I am not looking forward to the results!

@expandcontract it’s a healthy, and uncooperative, Baby Girl! I totally cried! She is measuring right on track with long legs and a small head (THANK GOD!) Heartrate was 151 bpm, high like always! I have an anterior placenta but have been feeling baby every day so that’s awesome! Baby girl was either drinking the amniotic fluid or having the hiccups the entire 80 minutes I laid there! The midwife was going to talk to the OBs about the number of pain meds I’m taking for my kidney pain, which is a relief since I’ve been stressing about it, as well.

My anatomy scan is Friday (20 weeks 6 days) my doctor actually tried to get it done last week but they were short on technicians. We don’t have a sitter so dh and the boys will come along at least hopefully to find out boy or girl and then he will take them home while I finish up. Hoping this Lo is more cooperative than their brother as I had to go back for additional U/s with both of them.

@mrskoz428 I think I'd be dying if I didn't already know what I'm having lol. They had an 1130 appointment but H would need to be there to watch DS and he's working today. This way he just gets out a little early instead of leaving in the middle of his day.

Had our appointment today for transfer of care since we moved. We go back in 2 weeks because they couldn’t fit me in for an ultrasound for the cleft lip today and I’m also waiting to hear from the MFM about an appointment for a higher level ultrasound with them. The holidays are screwing up the scheduling but fingers crossed for appointments sooner rather than later.

Im at my check up with OB right now and my blood pressure is 143/80.... because I just got into a fight with my husband about MIL sleeping when she should be watching our daughter (certainly not the first time either)! I've actually calmed down since the drive over here but looks like it's still having an effect on me.
I also just angrily chugged the sugar drink for my glucose challenge test.
Lol. It was either be mad at her or sit here worrying about the test results, I guess.

@expandcontract my blood pressure is always high at my appointments if we haven’t checked on the baby yet. Like, if they saved the BP check for after the doppler or after the ultrasound, like they did this week, it’s actually low. The nerves of wanting my baby to be healthy elevate my blood pressure so much at the appointments.

Had my anatomy scan this morning. It’s a boy!! I am so relieved to finally know and be able to tell people (so over the pressure of having a girl lol). I love being a boy mom, and ds1 literally left the appointment singing he was so excited about another brother to romp around with. Usually our office does the scan and then calls later so now just have to anxiously wait and find out how baby is doing. I also found out I have an anterior placenta which explains why I almost exclusively feel kicks down by my cervix.

Update: nurse called to say that the baby looked great. Everything with the baby is as it should be, but my placenta is lying a little low, so we are back on pelvic rest and have another ultrasound scheduled for in a month.

@Stormiewinter That's great news about the baby. Im sorry about the low placenta, though. Continue to take it easy. Hopefully it stays put without incident.

@mrskoz428 At the end of the hour, they rechecked my blood pressure and it went down to a whopping 118/70! The nurse was laughing and told me to tell my husband and MIL not to stress me out. If only it were that easy.

@Stormiewinter Sirry to hear about the placenta but glad baby is doing well!

@expandcontract @mrskoz428 That happens to me pretty much every appointment. Doctors office visits make me nervous so my blood pressure is always borderline too high. They often have to redo it. My husband was nervous about it last pregnancy so he got a home blood pressure cuff and I check it periodically at home just to make sure since appointment readings are so inaccurate.
Also, I would be mad at your MIL too!
