Whoa I was really slacking on starting the thread this time, sorry ladies. Worked my last 24 hour shift on the day it should’ve started.
1. How many weeks are you?
2. How are you feeling? Mentally? Physically?
3. Any appt updates?

Re: PGAL check in week of 12/23-12/29
2. Physically: still sick. Mentally: Doing okay. Feeling lo move everyday, so that helps. Doing kick counts.
3. Appts on 26 and 27. 26th is my 28 week appt and 27th is growth scan. Hoping lo is measuring above 10th percentile. Last time was 13th percentile.
4. Rant: dw is supposed to be transferring with her job so we will be living closer to the hospital with my il's. Well, it's still up in the air and driving me kinda crazy.
2nd rant: both dw and I told mil multiple times that we'd have Christmas day off to spend with that side of the family. Found out from my mom on thursday that my mil is celebrating on Christmas eve. Mil said sorry and said she thought she told us. Of course dw works that day, so we will be heading there after she's done with work.
5. Traveling, but it's only 2 hours.

@3rdtime_charmed I commend you for working 24 hour shifts. Idk how you do it being pregnant with twins on top of it all!
1. How many weeks are you? 26 weeks 4 days
2. How are you feeling? Mentally? Physically? Physically, feeling big all the sudden. Constantly reminding MH I can't walk that fast or want to do a million things but I feel like I'm 100 yrs old all the sudden lol Mentally, ok for the most part. My fuse is def a lot shorter these days.
3. Any appt updates? Next appt is Friday for the lovely glucose test and I believe my growth scan.
4. Rants/raves/questions? Rave: excited for xmas and family time. Doing a family baby shower while in laws are in town right after xmas. Rant: MH thinks I need to invite all these people last minute that aren't around so they can send things. Idk to me, 1) it's last minute and 2) I'd rather close people send things because they want to, not just b/c there's a shower and an obligation. Sure I'm over thinking it all, I'm just not one to that loves being the center of attention or want to seem like I'm begging for anything.
5. GTKY- home for the holidays? Or brave travelers? We will be home, but constantly on the road with people in town, etc.

@kristimh80 Thanks. Good luck at your appts.
2. How are you feeling? Mentally? Physically? Mentally pretty good! Can’t believe I’m already 30 weeks. Physically I’m slowing down a bit, my pelvis and pelvic floor muscles ache if I’m walking/standing too long and pregnancy insomnia is starting to rear its ugly head, but other than that I’m really feeling just fine! I’m loving all the kicks and jabs, even though baby is low so they’re super uncomfortable - still awesome to feel baby girl moving around in there
3. Any appt updates? Nope! Had an appointment at the beginning of Dec where I found out I passed my glucose test. Was supposed to have another appointment mid-Dec but I am away for Christmas so I’ll go at the beginning of Jan. Those biweekly appointments really crept up on me! I’ll have another ultrasound in 2-3 weeks to check baby’s size, as she measured small at the anatomy scan (19 percentile, so nothing too crazy).
4. Rants/raves/questions? When is everybody thinking of going off of work, or are you planning to work up until your due date? With DD I went off on sick leave at 37 weeks due to pregnancy induced carpal tunnel (but drs here will write you a note for any ache or pain so long as you actually have the leave/disability plan available to take the time off). I’m wondering if I should go off around the same time or try to work an extra week or so. I do not want to go into labour at work / have my water break at work so I have no illusions of working up until my due date. Being on vacation makes me realize I’m mentally ready to be off work, but of course I’ll miss the social part of work and so I’d like to stay as long as I can (I find mat leave a bit lonely compared to hanging out with my colleagues who I really like).
5. GTKY- home for the holidays? Or brave travelers? Brave travelers! DH, DD and I travelled from the east coast to the west coast to spend Christmas with my family - we are in California for 2 weeks (over halfway through our trip now though, boo boo!)
2. How are you feeling? Mentally? Physically? Pretty good for both. Getting a little slower and more uncomfortable, but that’s par for the course.
3. Any appt updates? I have my 28 week appt. on Friday. Doing my GD test as I type.
4. Rants/raves/questions? Rave! - So excited to be on winter break. Rant - It’s report card time when we go back to school.
5. GTKY- home for the holidays? Or brave travelers? We will travel about 2 hours tomorrow and come back Wednesday.
2. How are you feeling? Mentally? Physically? I had some not so pleasant gas yesterday at a family Christmas that I had to decide if it was cramping/preterm contractions. Never been more thankful for gas! Feeling the waddle coming on when I walk for sure
3. Any appt updates? Next appt January 3rd for a growth ultrasound
4. Rants/raves/questions? None this week
5. GTKY- home for the holidays? Or brave travelers? We are travelers, only 1.5 hours but we then are traveling everyday now that we are here.
@laur84ns I've been contemplating this too. I think for my leave I'll go pretty much near my induction, maybe a few days early. I only get 12 weeks and I already have to take 13 off due to when we could get a spot at daycare. I'm still hopeful to go into labor on my own but if not I'll stop working end of February.
2. How are you feeling? Mentally? Physically? Mentally pretty good but I still start thinking "what ifs" even though I have passed my milestones.
3. Any appt updates? Had my glucose test this past Friday. I don't know when I will hear from my doctor with the holidays but I can see the online results and it looks like I passed. I am RH negative so I will likely have the rhogam shot later this week.
4. Rants/raves/questions? Rant -- the heartburn, oh goodness the heartburn. I've started OTC acid blocker bc the Tums wasn't working any more. Some nights I can barely sleep.
5. GTKY- home for the holidays? Or brave travelers? We are home for the holidays. I am FTM so this is our last Christmas by ourselves, plus I figure the new year will bring lots of visitors and travel.
@laur84ns I have an office job and plan to work as close to my due date as possible, but I also have placenta previa, so my delivery may be a scheduled c-section. I am waiting for my next scan to see if it has resolved or if I am still on track for that. As long as I am not given bed rest, I will work up until.
29 + 5 today
2. How are you feeling? Mentally? Physically?
Mentally I feel great! Physically, my hips are really starting to hurt and I am uncomfortable.
3. Any appt updates?
I had my 30 week this morning, I am measuring right on schedule at 7.5 months and now will be seen every 2 weeks.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
Rant: I scheduled a 7:45am appt on a day where I didnt have to wake up for work, and they forgot to sign me in when I checked in so I sat there for like 30 minutes before I found out about that after I said something.
Rave: No work today, just a gym class at noon and then hanging out with the kiddos and helping the husband finish the built-ins in the baby's room.
5. GTKY- home for the holidays? Or brave travelers?
We only live an hour and a half from my mom, so we go there tomorrow, but we're in and out the same day.
@purpleteacher82 Good luck on your glucose test today!

Honestly on the days I work I feel better because I’m better able to distract myself, so if I actually make it 10 more weeks until my induction I think I am going to go nuts!!

@oneday2019 That makes sense, if you only get so many weeks off of course you want to maximize the time spent with your baby rather than time to rest/relax beforehand. I will cross my fingers for you that you go into labour on your own and that you can avoid the induction!
@karatepickles Fingers crossed for your placenta previa to resolve by your next scan! I agree that it’s orobably more realistic to work up to your due date with an office job that isn’t necessarily physically demanding! I hope you can avoid bed rest!
@kristimh80 I definitely didn’t regret taking time off before baby arrived the first time! I think I’ll be in a better head space if I get a chance to (try to) rest before baby #2 arrives and a chance to do some prep that, with a 2 yo and a full time job, I just don’t have a chance to do right now. I’m glad I’m not the only one thinking of taking that time to myself this time around! I also can’t help but wonder if this baby will come a bit early (I gave birth at 40 + 4 last time and apparently 2nd babies tend to come earlier) so even if I went off at 38 weeks I might not get all that much time to myself. Would you be able to use some sort of sick leave, or would the time you take off before baby cut into the time you get after baby arrives?
@3rdtime_charmed That makes sense, given your job and the fact that you’re expecting twins! I hope those babies stay put as long as possible but also hope you don’t lose your mind over the next ten weeks

- Learned last week that I've been using the wrong due date, so I am actually 30 weeks today instead of this coming Sunday.
2. How are you feeling? Mentally? Physically?
- I had a whirlwind of a week last week and I am still processing everything. Physically I am doing okay, some back pain and other aches but nothing I can't push through. Mentally is a different story. I discovered last week that I wasn't as far as I thought when I had my stillborn, I am confused on why I was remembering it wrong for over three years so I have been working through the guilt of that. I was just about to turn 30 weeks, not 32 when she passed so dealing with that milestone now instead of a few weeks from now has played mind games with me. Thankfully, I have an amazing husband and this little girl cooking has been an active babe who seems to know her momma needs extra movements right now to keep her sanity.
3. Any appt updates?
- My next appointment is Monday, my regular OB is out of the office so I am seeing her NP. Hopefully it will be just a standard appointment and nothing exciting.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
- Not this week, kind of ranted above.
5. GTKY- home for the holidays? Or brave travelers?
- We stayed home, we hosted dinner Christmas Eve and had some family come hang out on Christmas. I refuse to travel for Christmas because we are the only one with a child and I don't want to take him away from his toys when he's the only kid. Next year we might go to my dad's since his place is bigger and invite out of town family to come stay there (My dad offered this idea lol) which would make things way less stressful.

2. I’m feeling pretty huge, measuring closer to 35 weeks, but hanging in there. Mentally I’ve way less anxious now that I’m not working my long shifts. I feel like I can focus on just keeping these babies safe.
3. Appt today went ok. US next week will determine a lot!!
4. The weather is so gross today, and my dogs are nuts. I just want to curl up and sleep but it’s not happening that way.
5. We stayed home and mostly relaxed. Enjoying our last Christmas just the two of us. Next year will be so very different!

@kenneylynn3 hope lo is looking good at today’s growth scan! And sorry for the MiL stress, so not what you need right now!
@kristimh80 hope the baby shower is lovely and fx for a great appointment tomorrow!
@laur84ns I’ve got a physically easy desk job, so planning to work right up until her arrival (which I did with DS). Plus I’m a contractor, so I have no actual time off or paid maternity leave.
@purpleteacher82 teaching a room full of first graders during third tri sounds exhausting! Hopefully they’ll be extra good for you!
@karatepickles I’m well passed my milestone too and definitely still struggle with the “what if’s.” I guess PGAL brain just sticks with you.
@buckeyenut05 boo for them forgetting to sign you in and leaving you waiting for 30 minutes!
@3rdtime_charmed I’m throughly impressed you were still doing 24 hour shifts! And fx baby girl isn’t getting too tight at the growth scan.
@bdesterhouse I’m sorry you’re dealing with that milestone this week, I have no doubt that’s tough - sending hugs! I’m so glad your husband is being awesome and lo is moving lots!
2. How are you feeling? Physically? Mentally? Physically I’m feeling big. Notable low back and pelvis achiness/pain today after a long walk yesterday. Mentally I’m ok, loving feeling her move!
3. Any appt updates? Failed the 1-hour GD screen last week and then passed the 3-hour. So trying to be more mindful of my diet and better about regular exercise.
4. Rants/raves/questions? I feel like I’m slowing down way sooner than I did when I was pregnant with DS. I ran into month 7 with him, and a 3.6 mile walk has my low back super sore and my pelvis aching today... Worried about what that’s going to mean for the next 11-ish weeks.
5. GTKY- home for the holidays? Or brave travelers? We used to trek back and forth between all our parents houses pre kids. But I’m the last few years my in-laws moved way closer and there has been a baby boom on both sides of the family. So this year both of my parents actually came to us on Christmas Eve and we went to my in-laws Christmas afternoon (which is just 10 minutes away!). Loved not being in the car much!June 2016 - CP
