Nothing until January 😫😫😫

Nausea has intensified, and I'm not a big fan of the confusing hunger/nausea combination. My boobs are sooooo painfully sensitive. I'm not showing but I might as well be with how bloated I am.

No rants, but a rave: my IRL friends are awesome!

I would like to magically skip past my comprehensive exams and my dissertation defense and just be a PhD researching vector-borne disease already, KTHXBAI.

Upcoming Appointments: Dec 28. Had my confirmation appointment last Friday. Because of the holiday, it was hard to schedule my next appt for 3-4 weeks out, so instead they squeezed me in to go back in 2 weeks and then again in 4 weeks. I’m happy with the split up appointments because it’ll ease my anxious FTM first trimester mind!

How are you feeling?: exhausted. I stayed at a Christmas party until 11pm last night and am paying for it today. Been on the couch the whole afternoon. The MS has been manageable.

Rants/Raves: Raves: Work should be easy this week, so I can hide in my office. Rants: I’m already sad that I’ll likely feel sick and not want to eat our traditional Christmas dinner.

Questions: Nope.

GTKY: If you could magically have any career you wanted, what would it be? I’d be the General Manager of a sports team.

How are you feeling?: Exhausted, hungry, nauseated, and bloated.

Rants/Raves: DH went out during the football game to get me a sub and salad! I think I’ll keep him!

GTKY: If you could magically have any career you wanted, what would it be? Doctor for sure! I was a pre-MED student when I found out I was unexpectedly pregnant with my first. I still regret not finishing school.

Baby size: depends on which app I use, Ovia has it at a raspberry, but based on my ultrasound on 6w4d I find that verrrry hard to believe.

I'm feeling sick to my stomach all the time.. hopefully tomorrow at work won't be too bad

Raves: I went down for a nap right after my toddler and I woke up 3 hours later to an empty house and a text that said went out christmas shopping, we didn't want to wake you

that was nice bc I spent the afternoon puking.

GTKY: I would probably be doing something creative and flexible on time, do some STAH mommying if that worked in.

Upcoming Appointments: First U/S on the 28th! So excited to see baby for the first time! It makes the major blood draws worth it.

How are you feeling?: Like garbage. I'm sick with a major cold and then I've been barfing at least once a day. I'm super fatigued & have been going to bed at like, 8:30. Except now I have pregnancy insomnia.

Rants/Raves: H has been taking awesome care of me. I'm so grateful for him.

How are you feeling?: meh. Haven't thrown up, but nothing really seems good. Meal time is the worst time. I feel a bit better AFTER eating, but while eating and when hungry is blech.

Upcoming Appointments: I have my ultrasound tomorrow at 3:30 and I am so nervous!

How are you feeling?: Like I'm constantly hungover. I feel nauseated, then I want to eat all the food, then I feel sick. Also completely exhausted.

Rants/Raves: My parents are coming on Saturday for Christmas. I'm excited to hopefully be giving them good news, but I'm still just so nervous for tomorrow hoping that everything looks good.

GTKY: If you could magically have any career you wanted, what would it be? Doctor. I am a nurse and felt like I didn't have the drive to go through so much schooling and residency when I started college. Now looking back, I wish I would have cared a little less about my social life and just went for it at the time.

Upcoming Appointments: Our viability ultrasound is Friday!!! We had our initial with my CNM last Wednesday and it went well, just took a bunch of blood and peed in a cup and gave me 20000 papers to look over. Excited to see our blob Friday.

How are you feeling?: Gross. I am bloated and constipated, although adding in some prunes/prune juice has helped get things moving. I am fatigued all the time. Half the time I am low level constantly nauseous and not hungry, and the other half the time I am ravenous and starving. And when I am ravenous and eat I then suddenly become nauseated again. It's a wonderful cycle. And my boobs feel like they are going to explode out of my nipples, it hurts to sleep

Rants/Raves: We haven't told anyone yet other than Dr's and it is driving me insane!!! I usually tell my best friends/family everything and keeping it in sucks. We are going to tell our friends on Friday at our Friendsgiving party assuming our US goes well, and am planning on telling family on Christmas Eve. Excited to see reactions!! Hoping to catch it on camera.

Questions: Best maternity reading? I need something funny/light without a ton of dry information. I have been listening to the Pregnancy Podcast and love that I can absorb the info on the go but would like a reference book.

GTKY: If you could magically have any career you wanted, what would it be?: Honestly, I really love what I do now I would just tweak it to work better with my life. I am a mental health counselor for a school district and travel from school to school meeting with kids. I'd prefer to just be at one school full time, and now that we are expecting I am kind of wishing I could just do it part time. I don't want to give up this awesome job since it is hard to get placed in the schools as a mental health counselor, but I also kind of want to be home....lots of number crunching and thinking to do!

First appointment was a week ago! Saw our little spawn and their heartbeat! It was amazing! Next appointment on 1/7

SICK. I cry at anything and everything. Cramps. Sore. So tired all the time.

If one more person tells me to feel ashamed for not eating complete meals I will FREAK out. I'm eating what I can!

EDD 8/5 (although may be 8/6 based on the scan)

Saw the blob today and couldn’t help but laugh / cry - didn’t even notice my husband trying to hold my hand!!

Love the hungover description (nauseous, tired, and famished at the same time) - that + bloating, and nipple pain / sensitivity!

Chef, at some fancy shamancy restaurants, funny enough, I’m not a great cook, but I enjoy it, and I enjoy the finished product as well... plus chef is probably as close as I’ll ever get to rock star with my vocal cords!
