  • @Stormiewinter those look cute and delicious! Tomorrow is my last day of work for two weeks, and it's "Christmas Pajama" day... I am so ready to be done... so ready that I woke up at 3AM instead of 5 🤦‍♀️

  • @Stormiewinter nice piping skills! Did you use royal icing? They look fabulous!
  • Today is going to be busy! It’s the last day of school before Christmas break. The girls have a Christmas parade and then each has a class party and then early dismissal at noon. Afterwards we need to do some last minute shopping for DH. Tonight we may go downtown and to see the Christmas light festival.

  • I'm getting sick for Christmas 😫 I've been congested for a bit and now my throat is all scratchy and dry, no amount of water makes the scratchy go away. Thank goodness DH is also a teacher so were both off together because this would be awful if he was still working. I just want to watch hallmark movies all day in bed but I know DD2, if not both of them, will demand mommy. How likely is it that DH can convince them I'm not home?

  • @sleepy33 those are gorgeous flowers!!
  • @imrachellea I'm sorry you're getting sick! When my nausea was debilitating, DH would tell DD that "mama's sick", and she seemed to accept her fate of daddy time lol. I hope you feel better soon!

@Stormiewinter your cookies look so yummy and cute!!

Guys, I just sat and ate a ton of candy. German raspberries and strawberry gummy puffs. My last bmb was obsessed with sourpatch watermelons, but man these candies really hit the spot. Now that I'm not crazy nauseous I feel like I'm gaining weight more quickly than I would like.  :#

  • We had a gender guessing party today. Boy won out by 2! Now, I just have to find out a way to tell them the gender when we get back!

Is anyone else having difficulty reaching the board on their internet browser?  I seem to only be able to get on via the app right now.  It’s super annoying.
  • @beccaneu I had issues with the app this morning. It wasn’t showing posts as read or unread. And wasn’t showing any new posts since last night. So frustrating!

  • @zuuls_mom congratulations!!! That's so amazing to hear!
  • @knarlytaurus I made the frosting with powdered sugar, milk, vanilla and corn syrup. I think it tastes better than the royal icing, but royal icing is usually a little better for details.

@zuuls_mom congratulations! Positive thoughts your way!

@zuuls_mom great news! A fall baby would be lovely. Keeping FX that all is well!
  • @zuuls_mom Congratulations! And I'm so glad you kept us updated! Will definitely be lurking S19 now!
  • I think trying to explain things to H that he's never heard of while he's high is my new favorite hobby. "I tried to find a belly band today" "what's that?" "It's a band used to support my belly. It'll take some of this pain away" "so you just wear a giant rubber band over your clothes? How does that support anything?" And then I died laughing. I guess band could mean "rubber band" 😂
  • @zuuls_mom yayy! Thanks for updating us. We will for sure be lurking on September!

  • @zuuls_mom the best news ❤️

@jwalters2019 I'm sorry MIL is being so awful! I'm really hopeful once baby cones she changes her tune. Mine was nicer to me after DS was born because I think she was worried I would keep him from her. I wouldn't, but I like the change in attitude!

We had a long day today and I'm glad it's over. Not sure why I'm still awake! I'm away through Christmas and unsure of how active I'll be able to be but will try to keep up and at least check in at night!

  • @zuuls_mom yayyyyy!!

Those cookies look heavenly by the way
  • Would it be weird to have a thread specifically to share safety guidelines for sleep/baby gear/etc? We could share articles or recent research and things for those interested. I don't always feel comfortable sharing in, say, this thread because I don't want to offend someone who, just using an example NOT JUDGING, might bed share or something. I don't know safety guidelines for everything but I always like learning about more and with a separate thread we could keep that tucked away and not make it seem like we're judging other families for their choices? I'm just an anxious person, particularly due to DS's medical history.

  • @DuchessOfCambridge I don't think that's weird. I think it could be helpful.

I laid in bed with DS last night so he would go to sleep, and I woke up almost 3 hours later 😭😂
  • @zuuls_mom huge congrats to you!! 💕

  • The pain has returned and rendered me useless. 😭 I can barely take a breath without intense pain. Not sure why today the meds magically stopped working.

  • Oh @mrskoz428 that is not good at all! Can you get in to see your Dr this weekend? I’m so worried about you.
  • @mrskoz428 oh that's awful. I'm so frustrated for you that you don't have an answer for what is causing the pain!

  • @mrskoz428 is it still the kidney pain that's got you? I know how debilitating it is. I feel like I've been useless the last week. I hope you get some relief soon.

  • @chloe97our clinic is very traditional, doctors appointments Monday-Friday only. I could always call the labor and delivery nurse advisory line, but they will probably just tell me to take the oxy, which I REALLY don’t want to take. I have slept for the last two hours just to avoid being in pain. Can’t tell if baby is stressed or not, but (s)he is doing huge somersaults in there right now (could also be from the chocolate shake that I had and have been craving)
@DuchessOfCambridge agreed. I felt so amazing yesterday, too. That’s the sad thing! I even made sure NOT to over do it yesterday because I was feeling so good and knew it was too good to be true. Ugh!
@heathergirl89 yes, same kidney pain from last week. So completely frustrating!

  • @mrskoz428 if you do need the oxy, maybe this will make you feel better but I would also take it with a grain of salt bc I might have no idea what I'm talking about.

When my migraines were really starting to become debilitating and were happening all the time, I was told my options were Tylenol and Fioricet. I didn't like the idea of something stronger than Tylenol but another friend mentioned that the stronger drug will knock out the pain and not stay in my system as long as Tylenol, which made me feel better. But again, idk how true that is and probably isn't very helpful when the pain is chronic like yours :(

  • @mrskoz428 I really hope you're able to find some relief. Part of me is wanting to encourage you to do what you need to not be in pain, the baby is more stressed by your pain than it will be if you take oxy. However, I know when you have that fear, nothing anyone says will take it away. I felt the exact same way with taking mood stabilizers, so I get it. I took 2 percocet while pregnant with my son (oxycodone/acetaminophen), I was very feet conservative and as soon as I felt able to, I switched to Tylenol. But you need to do what you're comfortable with. I hope you find some relief soon, and peace of mind regardless of what you settle on ♥️
