I totally agree with you @chrissdee! If they didn't get trapped and it wasn't a sensational story they would have been charged if caught. And to think of all the money and resources spent for an illegal act? Nope.

@kosmo86 yeah the fact that you are still going at all sounds super human to me right now. Seriously reading about the things that people on here are juggling is amazing to me. Is this an appropriate use of #goals?
@chrissdee that sounds frustrating, but hopefully with a little time&space, people will think a bit more rationally about the situation?
@chrissdee I think sometimes it is hard for people to put their emotions aside and look at the big picture for these types of situations. I think their reactions are all pretty normal - they’re happy the people were found alive, and that’s all they care about at the moment. When the dust settles, they’ll see all of the consequences from their actions, or at least they should.
On that same note, I’ve found that when people do bad things, criminal acts, etc - families just cannot seem to separate the person from the act and look at things from the victim’s point of view. It’s just hard for people not to baby their loved ones, I think.
ETA: if you’re going to steal something, why go into a mine to do so??? Just the word “mine” gives me the creeps and all I can think of is a dark, dangerous cave.
Also, @thatbaintforbetty, I bet it’s SUCH a relief to have that severance pay in, even if it isn’t the full amount yet! Glad you and your H are getting settled and feeling a bit better.
@mrstmoose@MRDCle Yeah, I really feel like we started out snarky in the beginning and then it disappeared. To be fair, we really don’t get many one-offs, and when we do, they’re relevant or serious topics for the most part. We don’t get the chance to be snarky!
@lilpotatomama I know! It's pretty crazy how different TB is from when I was on here in 2015. Why isn't anyone coming in to ask about the safety of tanning beds??
@MRDCle I’m having to lurk literally every other bmb for snark and drama and there’s so much of it. April is just super chill I guess? I feel sorry for the next ridiculous one-off in here. We have all of this pent up sass with nowhere to channel it, and it’s all going to come out 😂
Big date tonight with DH. Dinner and a musical downtown! I’m so excited. Our city is so beautiful downtown during the holiday season. Lights up and down the river and on pretty much every single tree. But it’s 44 degrees outside and it’ll be 50 and dropping by tonight. I had to dry clean my 10 year old peacoat this week in preparation. South Texans aren’t built for this weather!
I can barely even find drama on other pages, ha. Have fun tonight @lilpotatomama.
In other news, this week I have learned more about DAIRY LAW than I thought possible at work. I'm ready to be done. I didn't realize my boss was coming in today, or I would have TOTALLY taken PTO to wrap all my gifts and clean my bedroom. Maternity clothes have taken over. Did everyone else like, empty drawers for mat stuff? Mine is just piled everywhere.
@MRDCle totally emptied drawers and cleaned out our closet. I folded everything that I can’t and won’t be able to wear for months and put it all into storage bins. Now everything in my drawers and on my side of the closet is stuff that fits. It wasn’t an easy project but it was so worth it.
Ugh I think our problem is that DH is rennovating the attic so he took EVERYTHING in storage and put it in the basement, which is now stuffed, so I don't wanna stuff that even fuller. Grumble grumble. I guess at least once I wrap all my gifts that will free up some space. I really only wear like, 10-15 things.
@MRDCle we've run out of hangers because of maternity clothes and I'm cheap and don't want to spend $5 on hangers that we will be drowning in come June.
Omg you guys are way ahead of me with the maternity clothes organization! I actually only have 3 pairs of maternity pants and zero tops so far. But to be fair, I wear scrubs to work, so since they still fit (and I have no life and do nothing on the weekends) I've been able to get by. Still, I'm on the verge of needing to actually wear full on maternity clothes. I'm popping big time!
Random thought of the day: Since I will either be induced or have a CS by 3/23, I have less than 100 days left of being pregnant, probably in my lifetime!
@mrstmoose I have like, boxes of hangers from I don’t even know where. Take them awayyyyyy. Or find some on Craigslist/upcycle/whatever crunchy local site would offer them.
@MRDCle I don’t have much maternity stuff so 1) my fashion has taken a hit, and 2) I am wearing the same four outfits all the time. It kinda sucks. On the plus side, virtually everything fits in a tiny drawer.
@lyse01 and @mrstmoose DH's job launders his uniforms for him, which he then brings home on wire hangers. That's 12 new wire hangers a week being added to our house. My work recycles them THANK GOD. But he just lets them pile up and they're all over the floor and our bed and ARRGGH.
@rennie1108 I don't have very many maternity clothes yet either. I've got two pairs of pants and that's about it. Most of my t shirts can still accommodate my bump. So far my sweats and basketball shorts are still pretty comfy. I'm far from a girly girl lol. Oh I did manage to buy one maternity bra from Walmart. Their maternity section is a tad bit sad.

Ugh last time I was like, wearing some of my normal stuff till into third tri. These twins are no joke. I was still losing weight but was in mat pants at 9w, ha.
I have been holding back some snark, because i felt like it was bordering on mean. My anxiety has been really bad and i am trying not to take it out on the everyone else since i feel like it's coming out in really odd ways. (I actually have plans to talk to the doc but since my health insurance will change Jan. 1st, there is no point doing anything till after the switch)
The bump is actually super dead compared to the last time i was here. First tri is still a ball of crazy when they do get posts though. I'm actually kinda glad about it though, I felt like i was always missing things on my last board. Also after the catfishing fiasco of July 14, i'm glad we are much chiller.
@MRDCle I just put my mat stuff at the front of my side of the closet, i can still wear a few pieces of my regular wardrobe, although the number is dwindling. I don't have the space or energy or time to clear out everything else.
I got 75% of my Christmas shopping done this morning thanks to Amazon, Target and Grove. I'm actually really excited for one thing, i bought matching adorable aprons for the girls and i. I've wanted a good one for ages and couldn't pass up high quality matching ones all for under $40! < the most excited i've been or probably will be about Christmas this year.

I’m also pretty sure I still have normal clothes packed away from my pregnancy with DD and have just been living in nursing tanks and a handful of stretchy Target shirts since. It doesn’t help that DH is a walking fashion disaster so I have to actually dress down to match his level.

Same here! I live in pretty much sweats and t shirts (or pajamas) all weekend. If I had to wear business clothes to work, that'd be another story. I am also just starting to wear DH's long sleeve t shirts to work with my scrub pants. He's just a tad bigger than me, so they work
@lyse01 Sure, I got them through Grove. Not sure if you have to join to be able to see stuff. Let me know if you need an invite or want a free gift email thing. I bought 2 of the kids and the matching adult one.
My theory on this BMB is we have a lot of STM+ and we don't have as much time to spend on here. I generally only stick to the randoms and a few other threads.
I think it will make a good facebook group of long time friends in the long run

@batmama31 That totally sucks! I just got my instructions for the glucose test, and having a root beer float is definitely not on them lol. Do you think they'll have you reschedule?
Can I just say something random about my DH? Let me preface it by saying he is wonderful and very supportive/excited about the baby. However, it is his 6th child, so this ain't his first rodeo (it's mine) and he's also not very sentimental about certain things. But last night he came up to bed before I fell asleep - which is unusual - got into bed, spooned me, and put his hand on my belly. He started giggling when he felt baby kick. It was the cutest thing! He's definitely starting to touch my belly more, but it's still weird to see him acting all giddy about it. It's such a little thing, but it makes me so happy.
I live in workout clothes, so thankfully my usual attire has been pretty versatile so far when it comes to accommodating my bump. DH tells me sweatpants aren't appropriate out of the house clothes, and I'm like, "pftt, it's 30 degrees outside and my stomach doesn't want to be shoved into jeans right now. You'll see my sweatpants and like them dammit." Plus 90% of the time I wear them to go to work or workout anyway .
I have like, three nicer maternity shirts and one sweater set aside in my closet that will probably be used for the holidays/maternity photos. I'm hoping I can make my usual wardrobe last all the way to April, because I fully agree about disliking spending money on temporary clothes.
And you ladies are cray cray. Sassiness and sarcasm is one thing, but wishing for drama? Shhhh! I work with all women, I have enough daily drama and BS to deal with .
@kangstadt I 100% agree on the sweats! My DH doesn't even wear them around the house. He wears jeans! I think he's a bit crazy. I wear my sweats everywhere, and when I get home from work, I change out of my already-comfy-scrubs to even cozier sweats or pj bottoms. Why not be comfortable, like, all the time?
I have several pajama bottoms, 1 pair of yoga pants and like 2 of what is probably joggers but i consider them pajamas.
I do not leave my house in pajamas (except like that one day when the office had pajama day). Or Slippers. Not even to go through the drive-thru.
I pretty much live in jeans. And wear leggings on some occasions. I have 1 pair maternity leggings that are pretty comfy, but they are pretty thin and not so winter appropriate.

@mesweettea We had a girl that claimed to be married, a lesbian, mother of 3 with one on the way and ran a successful wedding planning business. Turns out she was stealing pictures off the blog of from some girl in like Norway and passing them off as her own. I think she was like late teens, early 20s. And clearly had issues. She had tried to make another account and pose as her wife and there was a lot of things that were red flags that helped them figure everything out. Some of the bumpies super sleuthed to track her down and it all came to light.
Super drama extraordinaire.
ETA: I wasn't around much for the end, since a lot of us had migrated over to FB and had newborns to deal with.

KEGALS.
Having to excuse myself from a conversation because of a coughing fit (where I worried I would pee myself) is no fun....
Also, I kind of wish this board had a little more snark. I miss snark.
Also, I just really fucking love Donald Glover so there's that too.
