Let's hope our babies keep growing and we see them in a few more months!
We had another Dec 18 baby arrive today! John Francis was born this morning at 11:22 am at 28 weeks and 3 days gestation. He's 3 lbs. and 2 oz. and is 15.75 inches long. I was already 2-3 cm dilated when I started having consistent contractions around 7 or 8am. By around 10:30 I was 4-5cm and he was out less than an hour later! Since things progressed so quickly I didn't get an epidural (definitely wanted one), but there was just no time. H made it to the delivery room with maybe 10-15 minutes to spare. He is doing very well so far for how early he is. He came out breathing on his own and whimpering and wiggling, with a head of dark brown hair. He's still doing well breathing, but needs a little help from a CPAP machine. Everything else looks good for him so far. I will post pictures over on the other platform once the migration gets more underway and we can finally get a good look at him without his breathing mask on. I'm doing well, just incredibly exhausted. I didn't tear at all (possibly the only perk of having a preemie), just crampy and bloody.
Thank you all SO MUCH for your support through this whole process. It has been so invaluable to me and I am just so grateful I found you all. I'm still sticking around even though I'm not expecting anymore! You can't get rid of me that easily. Also all the mods already made a blood pact so I really can't leave even if I wanted to...
My little man Theodore was born at 29+2 on 9/28/18! He weighed 2lbs8oz and came out wailing! I developed pre-eclampsia and was in the hospital for 5 days prior to my c-section. Theo is doing well in the intensive care nursery. He’s back up above his birth weight and no longer needs a CPAP!
Hey everyone. I didn't expect to be in this thread so early! My son, Mason Dominic, was delivered on Friday, 10/12 .i was admitted Tuesday because of high blood pressure issues . They tried to maintain it but struggled to keep it down and i started to get other symptoms like migraines and upper abdominal pain. He was born at 9:04 at 4lbs 3 oz, 17 inches long . He's doing well .on oxygen but very little and will hopefully be off soon. He has a feeding tube and is doing well with that. I just was not prepared for any of this and how small and fragile he would be. You start your day thinking you have 7-8 weeks left of pregnancy and it changes that fast. He was delivered via c section but that was already the planned the delivery method anyway.
We welcomed Booker on October 2nd. I was hospitalized with early onset pre-eclampsia with severe symptoms on Sept 25th. We were trying for 34 weeks but my liver started to fail and I only made it one more week. I was 29 and 6. Booker was born at 6:53am and weighed 2lbs 14oz via C-Section because he was breech. He has been in the NICU for two weeks. It's absolutely exhausting and emotionally draining. Leaving him is the worst thing ever. I pray every day that he gets to come home sooner than expected. He is doing great and we are so grateful for the strides he is making but just can't wait for the day he gets to come home.
We welcomed Maxwell Alan yesterday at 10:42am! He was 34weeks and 2days and 8lbs and 20inches! He's holding his own in the NICU on CPAP! Like many of the early ladies on here we have spent the last few weeks/months battling a short cervix and pre -e in and out of the hospital. Our toddler gave me norovirus earlier this week and that pushed us over the edge. Can't wait to actually get to hold him! ❤️
Finn eli joined us on Nov 16 at 36 weeks and 2 days. He weighed 6lbs 4oz at birth and is 20.5 inches long. I developed preeclampsia pretty quickly, along with bells palsy (half your face becomes temporarily paralyzed, which can obviously be confused with a stroke but was ruled out), so doctors decided to induce me. Fortunately finn is strong and besides dealing with jaundice is healthy. We finally made it home from the hospital last night, just in time for his first thanksgiving!
We welcomed our handsome man Konnor Vaden on nov 19th at 7 53 pm. 7 lbs 3 oz and 2o inches long. We wanted an unmedicated birth and were able to achieve that with the help of our awesome doctor and a very wonderful nursing staff. We went in for induction at 3am. Waters were broken at 1pm. Mr Konnor was born at 7 53pm with only two pushes. Much to my surprise there was no tearing or stitches needed. Both of us are doing well and we came home on wed the 21st. Now we are adjusting to life with 2 children round the clock. Breastfeeding got off to a bit of a rocky start but we are doing much better now.
Vincent Lee is here! Born at 3:40pm, he's 5lbs 15oz and 20 inches long, a lot smaller than big brother who was 7lbs 4oz!!
Cytotech was started at 8pm last night due to high BP, we did two doses and it didn't really do much for me except thin me out a little bit. The OB decided to go ahead and start pitocin around 5-6am and that seemed to work better for me. Epidural was placed right around noon I think? I slept off and on pretty much the whole time I was here honestly. A couple hours after the epidural I was 7 cm, so I figured we had a couple more hours to go. MAYBE one hour later I felt pressure and was ready to push! Only had to push through 3 contractions, so maybe 10 mins. He came out with the cord wrapped around his neck twice, and he's really not a crier! He's been nursing wonderfully and blood sugar levels have been more than perfect!! Big brother was in earlier, but he's very unsure what to think of baby brother.
I've also enjoyed some pasta and cheesecake, and a burger and fries lol. So glad to not be diabetic anymore!
Baby Torrin is here! 5lbs 5oz and 17.5in long. I had a repeat c-section scheduled for this morning at 8am. Everything went well and Torrin and I are doing great. He is such a quiet baby and never cries, he didn't even cry during his shots or with his blood sugar tests which he has done every 3 hours. He is a great eater too and latched on right away. We love him si much and his 3 brothers and sister absolutely adore him.
Baby Amelia was born 12/11 945pm 12hours from beginning to end. Almost 7 lbs and 19 1/2 long bigger than her big sister. We are doing well, epidural was wearing off at time to push so I felt a lot! She’s healthy and we go home tomorrow!
Everly Jean-Marie was born 12/10/18 at 6:14pm, roughly 10 hours after the start of pitocin. I went in sitting at a 2 and 50% effaced with baby in a -2 position. 8 hours in I was at a 4, 80% effaced and baby at a 0. I got an epidural and within 2 hours was ready to push. It only took 1 push for us to get to hold our little girl. She was 7lbs4oz and 20 in long (the biggest of all 3 of my babies). We got to do immediate skin to skin and she was latched within 10 minutes. They let us spend 2 hours that way before doing weight and vitals and it was so amazing. We have been home for a couple days settling in and big brother and sister are loving it.
Baby Coraline Wilder is here! born on 12-12 at 12:32pm weighing 6lb 13 oz and 20.25” long. Went in for my induction and found out I was in active labor at 4cm dilated, so we skipped cervadil and went straight to the pit drip to help regulate my contractions. 12 hours later I felt like I was ready to push, but my doctor was still on her way. When the doctor arrived she checked me and SURPRISE, out came baby Coraline Overall a pretty easy labor and delivery!
Ruthanne (Ruthie) arrived on her own fast & furious on the afternoon of Mon 12/17 (9 days early)! Weighing in at 8lbs 4 oz and 19 in long. No pain meds (not originally the plan) and only some tearing. I feel great and we were discharged 24 hours after she was born. She’s a real sweetie & such a snuggly baby!
Meet Cal! Born 13 December, 8lbs 7oz and 20” long.
My due date induction was pushed back one day because L&D was full, so Cal was born at 40+1. When we got started I was about 1-2cm dilated and 50% effaced…same as the two weeks leading up to week 40, and no noticeable contractions.
I was given oral Cytotec in the evening and barely dilated during the night. Early in the morning I got an epidural, my OB broke my water, and started very slow oxytocin. I was fully dilated and effaced by noon, but had to wait an hour for a doctor to be available to catch the baby - luckily I barely felt my contractions, and never got the urge to push. When a doctor was available we got to work and my guy was born quickly, I only felt pressure on my tailbone and needed to be told when to push so I pushed like hell and Cal came out fast. I did get a surprise episiotomy, but I felt zero pain.
When he was plopped on my chest I was just stunned. Surprised that he was crying his lungs out, generally amazed that DH and I made a tiny person. Similarly astounded that *bam* I was suddenly no longer pregnant. Happy, tired, and amazed. We’re not planning on having any more kids, so this was a fun ride! Adios BMB

My sweet girl Mabel Bea arrived fashionably late at 41 weeks 1 day on December 22nd. We were team green and fairly certain it was another boy so we were shocked when the nurse said it's a girl. As soon as they laid her on my chest she was lifting her head up and she latched right away.
So far she is a content baby. My milk came in the second day and I've had to pump twice from being so full. I've had to feed her for short increments and keep her propped up afterward otherwise she spits it all up. She had her 4 day doctor appointment and has only lost 5 ounces from birthweight.
I think being accustomed to being sleep deprived has helped with the transition. The most difficult part is dividing my attention for my 3yo. I know it will just take time adjusting to a family of 4.
Baby girl Guarino was born 12/16 via csection three weeks early since pre-e kicked in again. She is 20.5 inches long and 7 odd 3 oz. She lost 10 percent body weight in the hospital since it took three days for my milk to come in but by day 9 she was up to 6pds 11 oz so I think she’s doing great! Had a few rough nights when we got home with her fussing till 3 am but hopefully we are on the ups! She has two very excited brothers who are all over her.
