Just got these ultrasound pictures today. We wanted to see him in 3D so badly but of course right when the technician tried, he had buried his face in the opposite direction and wouldn’t move it at all. It was pretty funny. I’m 25 weeks tomorrow and he was 1 lb 13 oz, measuring right in the middle of the size charts. 💙
@danixbanani24 , your pic made me do a holy sh^t it's getting real... I am also at 28weeks and can't believe my baby would look that baby-like right now, ahhhh!! I have an US in 4 weeks from now.. so I guess it'll be real real then!
For the people who’ve gotten 3D (or 4d?) ultrasounds, have they been elective/out of pocket or do some of your offices offer it? We’re doing one (electively) in a few weeks because we’ve had a stressful pregnancy with a lot of anomalies and want all the feedback we can get. curious how you’ve felt they compared to regular ultrasounds.
@ssag ours was 3D because baby wouldn’t show her profile on the regular ultrasound. The tech just flipped it over to 3D to make sure her features looked okay then switched back, so we didn’t know we were getting 3D. It was weird - they change the contrast (I think) so you can get a good picture, but that makes it look like baby is just floating in this dark abyss. It was pretty amazing to see her move in 3D though - made it much more real.
PS I’m so glad to hear you’re doing the 3D. I hope it gives you peace of mind to be able to see baby!
Our sweet little baby from an ultrasound a few weeks ago, back when we were 23 weeks 4 days. The sonographer reassured us that any extraneous lumps / bumps we see aren’t truly there, she just was moving during the imaging and the picture isn’t perfectly accurate for that reason. It is still so awe-inspiring and astonishing to me to be able to see her cute little facial features so well at such a young gestational age! And I am 26 weeks 2 days now and I can feel her moving ALL THE TIME - sometimes her movements are so strong she literally takes my breath away (but in a good way 😊). We are just so overjoyed, delighted and in love already. Her presence is especially sweet because we lost our first daughter at 18 weeks, so we feel her angel sister is now guiding her every step of the way. ❤️ Sending love to all the mamas and families and babies on this thread- you are all amazing! And February is only a few months away!!!
@ssag they gave me one 3D picture with my echo without me asking. I don't think it cost extra but my AS without 3D was already expensive AF so..... Dreading this bill anyway lol
Lil guy at 33 + 1! Everything looks great and the placenta is no longer too close to the cervix, so no need for a C section (at least not for that reason).
I’m also thinking it looks like he has my nose now! At 20 weeks it looked like H's nose. We were convinced he’d look exactly like H since all boys in his family look the same, but now we’re not so sure. Exciting!

3D of baby girl's fingers - I can't wait to hold that little hand! It's the only thing she'd give us! No face pics at all. About 7 lbs right now with 3 weeks to go. Everything measured on target or slightly ahead.
I'm due February 1st! Here is the 3D of my little girl ♡♡ this was taken mid November, I can't wait to meet her. This is our first baby, I'm a very odd (for me) mixture of nervous and excited but that's probably normal.
We finally got a few half face pics with the 3D ultrasound at 34 weeks! Last time he had his face turned completely away of course right when the technician switched it to 3D so we were thrilled with these even if he has his hands in front of his face the whole time. I think he’s going to be shy, like me 🌚
Re: AW: Ultrasound thread
