@nomangos23 Girl ask for an instapot for Christmas! We can cook a FROZEN roast within an hour. Absolutely insane, although I do sometime prefer the regular crockpot for other things if I’m not in a hurry! You just need some liquid to have steam but you can sauté and everything!
@creamcheeseplease@nomangos23 Re: Ava. I've been using it for about 4 months now. It definitely reduces the stress of temping since I don't have to worry about when I'm going to sleep or waking up, as long as I remember to wear it (which I've been pretty good at). I also like that it tracks more than just temp - my RHR is especially nice to be able to add to my chart in FF. It's not great at predicting O, especially if your O day varies by more than 1-2 days like mine does. However, I'm still pretty happy with it just for lightening the stress load a little!
Also - thank you to everyone for the skin care recommendations! Hoping I can find something that works - it's gotten to the point that my chin is just painful and 10x as painful to look at...

I was using a stronger face wash but dry winter skin plus worse acne without BC has caused my face, mainly my chin, to become a hot mess. I'm going to try a different brand! I hope your Comcast troubles are sorted out quickly - what a pain! @kimmer1412 I was trying this brand called Simple, which doesn't seem to irritate my skin but my chin is broken out way worse than the stronger acne wash I had been using for years. I'm going to try Neutrogena and see if that works any better! @Noodle9912 Aveeno was another brand I was considering! Will be trying that next! Well today took a turn after I posted. I got a call from my mom panicked telling me my she needed help with my dad. He was slurring and babbling incoherent and she couldn't get him to get out of the car. I had her call an ambulance and drove to their house. Turns out because his preop for his surgery was today, he was so worried about failing the preop for high sugar he took another dose of insulin and instead his sugar crashed right after the preop. The paramedics were able to give him a glucose iv and get him back up to normal but it was very scary.
@nomangos23 Thanks, it’s been awhile, but some of them we were trying harder than others. When we were buying our house, we were just trying to get through the day without getting divorced or killing each other or never speaking to my family again. It’s a long and horrible story.
As for the instant pot, it’ll be better if I get DH to make a tutorial, he’s way more of the expert. The soup came out ok, but I was expecting it to beep and and tell me it was done, but it never did. I need to read the manual again or something. The fact that I was worried about burning soup says a lot about my level of confidence in my abilities 😂
