Re: Discussion: Working after baby

  • @jhems776 I was a SAS coder/programmer too! Not many of us left :)

  • Current or former position?: I work as a legal/medial advocate for child victims/witness of maltreatment. We work along side law enforcement and child protection to interview children regarding abuse. I work as an advocate from the time a child comes in for an interview through working side by side with our prosecution of abuse cases. I used to work for our prosecutors office so I work side by side with them now to prepare kids to testify.

stuck in the box, but <3<3<3 for your work.
  • @Dcwtada It hard to find someone who knows what SAS is let alone uses it. I never really set out to be a pseudo-programmer, just fell into it.

  • Current or former position?: tech relations assistant at an Audio Video company

    FTM or STM (+)?: FTM

What is, or was, your plan for working after baby(ies)?: I fully intend to go back.

What is your maternity/paternity leave policy? Any plans or goals during that time (if applicable)?: job will be held for me, and the state pays 66% of salary for six weeks. After that I’m on my own and better hope DH found a better job.

Any questions, concerns, or advice?: I’m worried about finding a place DH and I can afford, especially when I’m off for six to eight weeks in the future. Right now I have the better job with benefits and great hours (full time but they’re flexible with time off)

What is your dream job?: dream dream? Hockey player.
    Realistic dream? Baker.
