I'm not doing a Christmas card but I am just going to randomly drop this on FB one day w/o a caption. (Clearly my name isnt blocked out in the actual photo and the photo goes up all the way to include the whole chimney with our engagement photo on it).
Ah, we planned on doing the stocking announcement too but then I realized out stocking sucks and not pretty for pictures. I plan on next year buying nice ones with our names on it. Almost tempted to buy stockings, take a picture and return.
@amaren-2 I'm doing a card announcement. We had family pics taken and in some of them I have a letter board that just says Baby (Lastname) #2 Due June 2019! So I'm planning to just use one of those photos and do "Love DH, myname, DD, and new baby" Or something along those lines. I'm sure there will be people who dont get it. Which I love haha
@jhems776 that’s kinda genius actually. And then you don’t actually have to buy the ornament! I’m gonna need the link for the website please. 😆

Another option is an Etsy digital download announcement. I didn’t see them until after I bought a felt board and other stuff to take the picture myself. But I wish I would have just gone that route. Pics in spoiler.
@amaren-2 we're doing a Christmas card announcement. I just threw DS in his Big Brother shirt and snapped a few pictures outside. I was going to use a couple but I liked the layout of the card I picked with just a single one. Going to try to put the picture in a spoiler so it's not huge.
@srscott3 OMG this is amazing, I had NO idea you could do it this way. This explains a lot of those mommy blogger photos, I always wondered how they had the energy to do this with 4 kids running around (not that moms still can't get this done, I just know I couldn't)
@jhems776, I tend to agree. I guess the humor of the couple would come into play, but it’s definitely not my favorite.
This is baby 4 for us. I’m kind of liking some variation of a picture of my kids with the message of “the more, the merrier”. No matter what, we’re going for understated.

This was our announcement for the twins (obviously without the name or my son’s face blacked out), so I want to make sure we include all three kids in this one. But that’s as far as I’ve gotten.

@amaren-2 we are doing a Christmas Card "teaser" announcement. We are doing normal card on the front and then on the back a pic I snapped of DS walking next to his stroller holding the side, with his baby doll in the seat and the caption "Looking forward to what 2019 will bring!" I got them done before we knew gender and I liked the idea of being kinda vague about it.
This is what I did for ours on social media/emailing extended family members. We're incorporating Baby into our Christmas card too -- just kinda wish I had a newer US picture, or at least one that doesn't still remind me of Marcel from Friends.
We announced with this picture on social media this weekend. We had already told our closest friends and family. We love to travel, hike, and camp so when I saw this little onesie on Etsy I thought it was perfect! My fiancé put the rest together and he did such a great job!
@srscott3 Oooo thank you for sharing! I might fall back to that Etsy download.
Our current plan is to hang stockings on our radiator and use that as the photo on a holiday card/announcement. But we both lack photography skills and we’re rushed because we only decided yesterday to do this.
I want to make or buy a shirt like this for DS for our extended family Christmas. But our extended family has been dumb the last couple years and fights have prevented us all from getting together. I'm hoping we all get together but I'm not sure it will happen, so if not no big announcement will happen and it will have to be a FB one instead. That or just letting people find out randomly as we go.
Everyone who I see on a regular basis already knows becuase I can’t keep my own secrets to save my life lol. But I just announced on Facebook. This is getting real!!!
I love all these announcements! I feel cheated though my husband cant keep a secret and announced it the second we found out. I guess I'll have to wait to announce the sex of the baby!
It was my birthday yesterday so I posted this as an announcement. I made sure I told all family and close friends before I posted, and used the pre-walkers and teething ring I bought my partner’s nephew as a Christmas present for the picture. Probably can’t gift them now 😂
We announced with our Christmas card this week and used the letter board. I’m going to post to Instagram in the next few days using the calendar and shoes as a simple everyone else gets to know
These are all beautiful - I’m so impressed with your creativity! @carleym93, I love that your bump is big enough for this silhouette!

This is my first post on this app! I’m still learning all the abbreviations, so bear with me! We told my ILS over thanksgiving in person and my parents on FaceTime but we announced online two days ago with this pic I’ll be 40 when our son arrives! (😬) he’ll be our first human baby (and a rainbow baby) we got married in May and my beautiful MIL passed away in July so it’s been a big year...but we are full of gratitude (and anxiety) for what’s to come!
I ordered this card from zazzle.com to send to our friends and family and we'll probably do some kind of Social media announcement including the gender on Christmas since we'll hopefully have our NIPT results including the gender by then. 🤞🏻
