Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Thursday 11/29

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Re: TWW Thursday 11/29

  • Month/Cycle:  2

    CD/DPO: 18/5

Timing: -2 FF moved my o up by 1

    Testing: i feel better about a -2 than a -3 so maybe Dec 10 or 11

R/R: i don't know why but I could not sleep last night even though I was super tired so I've been up since 4.

  • Loading the player...
  • @daisy0322  Sorry about the no sleep, but that’s great your O moved back a day!

    Month/Cycle: 5/5

    CD/DPO: 24/6ish

    Timing: -3, -1

    Typical LP length: 14

    Testing: Next Tues/Wed

R/R: Rave- I’m getting so much done at work this week! Rant ***TW*** I had this super realistic dream last night that I found out I was pregnant. So realistic, and normally, I don’t remember dreams. Very frustrating when I realized it was only a dream. Ugh. Not sure if that needed a Tw but figured I would add ***end TW***

CS/Q: Nothing today, trying not to SS

  • @cpiper39 I think i hate good dreams more than bad ones. Waking up is not comforting at all!! I feel ya

@daisy0322 sorry for bad sleeps. Count me in for that club too. It was terrible, let's hope we can both make it through the day.

    Month/cycle: 6

    CD/DPO: 23/10dpo

    Timing: almost SMEP

Typical LP length: last two were 9, although up to 12 over the summer.

Testing: idk, if no AF, this weekend maybe?

R/R: 10dpo!!! Yay for a longer LP. (unless I miscalculated my O, trying not to think about that). Send some zen vibes my way today ladies, because I'm gonna be nutso. Hopefully I can convince all the people I work with that I'm a functional human.

@daisy0322 that's great that O moved! I'm kind of in the same boat where I was caught off guard with the earlier than normal +OPKs and so I'm not sure if my timing was good at all  :/

@cpiper39 I think I had a dream like that a few months ago where I found out I was pregnant in the dream. I don't typically have dreams either.

    @jennifer_louise *sending good zen vibes*

    Month/Cycle: 17/16

    CD/DPO: 20/somewhere between 3 and 6

    Timing: okay-ish

    Typical LP length: 12 days

Testing: nah, probably won't since I'm clueless this month to when O really was

R/R: appointment with the RE today to put a game plan together woohoo! I've been feeling nervous about this appointment since yesterday but I think that's also my anxiety over getting lunch before hand and making sure we're done with lunch and not rushing to get to the fertility center.

CS/Q: my temps have been lower than normal for post O temps (typical is above 98). Makes me wonder if I did O or not. Might take an OPK in a few days to see since sometimes O can be as late as CD24.

ETA: forgot to put my chart in a spoiler so the psot isn't so long

  • Well @chichiphin hope AF stays away, but at least you can get started testing if she comes!!

@inthewoods23 do you usually get multiple surges?
  • @daisy0322 Sorry for the poor sleep last night. Hopefully, that means you'll be able to get to bed a little earlier and have a solid night's sleep.
@cpiper39 I love how productive you are!
@jennifer_louise Yay for a longer LP!! Sending you all of the zen vibes today.
@chichiphin Yay! You're still here! FX big time for you! Did you decide if you're going to buy an FRER?
@inthewoods23 GL at your appointment today! I hope it goes well.

  • @daisy0322 yay for moving O! I also didn't sleep last night.

@cpiper39 I had a super realistic dream about EWCM last night, hahaha! It sounds like a lot of us were on the same wavelength.

@jennifer_louise no sleep for me either. Yay for longer LP!!! Good vibes your way!

@chichiphin sorry about your BFN... but hooray for a longer LP!

@inthewoods23 I hope your appointment goes well!

    Month/Cycle: 5/6

    CD/DPO: 16/2-3

    Timing: if FF is correct -4, -2, O; if I go by when I think I O'd, then -5, -3, -1

    Typical LP length: 10-12

    Testing: none planned

R/R: I'm just excited that FF agrees that I O'd! I took a break from temping last cycle, but the cycles before that have seemed wonky and FF couldn't figure it out. It seems my new thermometer is doing the trick!

    CS/Q: None
  • @jennifer_louise not usually. One cycle I think my 1st round wasn't quite positive but I had counted it that way and after a few days when I wondered why I didn't get a temp increases I had taken another OPK and got a definite positive and that correlated with the actual temp rise that cycle. Since I started temping, I don't think I have O'ed earlier than CD15

@daisy0322 hopefully you get a good night's sleep tonight.
@cpiper39 FX your body is trying to tell you something through dreams!
@jennifer_louise Hopefully your LP lasts a few more days.
@chichiphin Hoping CD1 never shows up and you don't have to make any RE appointments!
@inthewoods23 are you temping vaginally? your chart looks like mine when I was temping orally. Since temping vaginally, my mind is more at ease. Temps before and after O are clear. Orally, I had so many temps near the cover line.

    Month/Cycle: 8/8

    CD/DPO: 18 / 1

Timing: I hope it's good for low count

    Typical LP length: 13-15 days

    Testing: No

R/R: It snowed last night and now it's just a salty wet mess.

CS/Q: Given the OPK results and previous trends, we wanted to have a many sperms as we could on O day thinking it would be on CD16 but it happened a day later. We'll see if this will be enough.

    TTC#1
    10/2018: MFI (2 SA under 9 million/ml)

    6/13/2019: BFP!!! EDD: 2/22/2020 <3  Baby girl born 2/27/2020
7/18/2019: Total Motile Count at 3 months post surgery = 51 millions!! (number must be >20 millions to conceive naturally).

    9/07/2021: BFP - CP: 9/10/2021

    12/23/2021: BFP! EDD: 08/31/2022

  • @inthewoods23 I'm not convinced that you O'd yet based on the fact that the supposed temp rise happened before either of the +OPKs.  What are the open circles from on CD15/16?

  • @rikiteacup I temp orally. Not sure if I'll still need to temp once we move forward with the RE's plans?? If I do temp next cycle I think I will try vaginally.

@lulu1180 the open circles are from the weekend. I like to wake up around 7:30 instead of 5:30 but going forward I think I will keep that alarm for the weekend and then go back to sleep. I'm also not convinced I O'ed since my temps are lower than normal.

  • @elle-0409 congratulations on YH's promotion! That's exciting news! Sorry for a bum cycle.

@rikiteacup I love snow but not when it turns into a salty mess.
  • @inthewoods23 Yeah, I know it sucks to set your alarm early on the weekends, but it will make temping so much easier!  Although depending on the plan that your RE sets, you may not need to temp in future cycles if you're being monitored.

@chichiphin yay for still being here!!!

@inthewoods23 good luck today at the RE, we'll be thinking of you <3

  • Good morning ladies! I think I go here now.

@daisy0322 Sorry you didn’t sleep well. Hope your day flies by!

@cpiper39 I’ve had that same dream too! So hard waking up and realizing it was just a dream.

@jennifer_louise Yay for a longer LP. Keeping FX for you this weekend!

@chichiphin I think you should definitely get a FRER. FX for you!

@inthewoods23 I hope your appointment goes well and you are able to make a game plan!

@elle-0409 Yay for YH promotion! Sorry about the temp drop.

@riff323 Glad your new thermometer seems to be working better.

@rikiteacup I hate when the snow turns into a salty mess on the roads. Looks like you were really on top of HIO!

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD/DPO: 17/4?

    Timing: -3, -2, -1, O

    Testing: Next week

R/R: Rave: My wedding pictures are finally ready so MH and I are going to look at them together tonight! We got married in September. Also booked myself a massage for today and can’t wait!

CS/Q: This cycle has me so frustrated. We were able to do SMEP perfectly but I didn’t notice any fertile CM. I had creamy, maybe slightly wet but not really watery. Because of that, FF only gave me a dotted line. Advanced detector thought O on CD 14 and FAM thought CD 13. I usually have had O 2 days after first positive OPK, so I think I’ll go with that.

3/21- FET #2- transferred one 3AB- BFP! Due Dec 2021

  • @inthewoods23 yes, if you have to temp next cycle, do it vaginally. Look at the difference between oral an vaginal temps.

  • Well. I peed and not on a test lol. I just can't justify buying a FRER at twice the price at our downtown CVS. I'll buy one in the burbs when I get home and test tmrw morning if I'm still in the game.

@inthewoods23 if your appt goes like mine, you'll have an ultrasound done and they may tell you if you have any growing follicles and this could tell you where you are at with O. For example, I had one at 20mm and sure enough two days later I had an LH surge and O pain. Could help you target O.
@elle-0409 congrats your YH on his promotion, but I'm sorry about the temp drop.
@riff323 glad the new thermometer is working out!

  • Agreed @chichiphin. Not worth the extra dollas. I might join you and buy a FRER tonight too. I am always scared to POAS though so I will probably just hide it and go about my life.
  • Also @misshelen86 super jealous of your massage. What kind do you normally get?

Also, A+ ON SMEP. You're an inspiration to us all!!
  • Boo CVS! Go to Walgreens!

Probably just as expensive, but my dad works there so I have allegiance to one side  :D

  • @inthewoods23 @marebear15 I'm tagging from yesterday bc - my RE is having us HIO two days in a row and come in on the second day to see how the sperm are handling my environment to make sure they "like the water in the pool" as he said... so there is validity to the thought of hostile environment down there for certain sperm

  • @chichiphin @inthewoods23 - Speaking of hostile environment for sperm, I found out on the interwebz that some ladies can be allergic to some sperm. When MH and I stopped using protection, I got three vaginal infections in three months. My GYN said it's because the sperm changes the pH of the vagina. I wonder if that's why we have issues getting pregnant. *goes to search how to help CM be hospitable*

@inthewoods23 That's exciting about your appointment - I hope all goes well!

@elle-0409 Your posts are funny. So sorry about the temp drop, but that's awesome about the promotion!

@riff323 LOL to EWCM dreams! Glad you're happy with your temps/chart this month!

    @rikiteacup That's a nice looking chart!

@misshelen86 Awesome job smep'ing this month! Also, have fun looking through your pictures. We got married in September too (couple years ago though) - great month

  • @daisy0322 Glad that FF changed things in your favor! I feel like all of us have been having issues lately. Sorry about the not sleeping, that's always rough.

@cpiper39 Not sure if you need it but *hugs*... I hate those kind of dreams. Glad you are getting stuff done at work!!

@jennifer_louise *sending all of the zen vibes to you* Keeping my FX, and yay for a longer LP.

@chichiphin Yay that you are still here! I agree, at least you have everything lined up and ready.

@inthewoods23 GL at your appointment today. Not good at chart interpretation so I could go either way.

@elle-0409 Congrats, that's amazing! And I'm keeping my FX for you!

@riff323 Yay, glad that your cycle is looking good. You got your BD covered in both scenarios. What thermometer are you using now?

@rikiteacup Yay for snow(?)... I'm in SoCal and we don't get any so I'm jealous! Your chart looks great BTW.

@misshelen86 Wow, your chart is so snazzy! Your timing looks good so you covered your O bases pretty well. And yay for wedding pictures! Hope they turned out amazing.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: CD21 / 4-6 DPO

Timing: HIO everyday of FW (because I'm a crazy person)

Typical LP length: last cycle was 8 or 9

Testing: Probably early next week (if I can hold out)

R/R: Yesterday I had the worst pain in my chest (thinking it was maybe gas pain), and during dinner my abdomen was just hurting. I broke down and took 500mg of Tylenol because I was just miserable. Today is better. Plus DH got called into jury duty and my payroll got messed up so some of my bills may not get paid... it's just been a lovely couple of days. :'(:|

CS/Q: not really... chart in spoiler

    TTC #1: September 2013, BFP 01/01/14, DS 09/14
    TTC #2: October 2018, BFP 02/02/19, EDD 10/14/19

  • @chichiphin @marebear15 some women's antibodies are killing the sperm. My MIL told us this is what happened when they were TTC my husband for years. She got a shot (that was in 1980) and then DH was conceived. Then she got pregnant 5 more times with no issues.
RE clinics still check for that. They will have you have intercourse and come the next day and assess the situation.
    TTC#1
    10/2018: MFI (2 SA under 9 million/ml)
11/2018: HSG shows right Fallopian tube slightly damaged
1/2019: Husband diagnosed with grade 3 varicocele
    4/05/2019: varicocele repair surgery
    6/13/2019: BFP!!! EDD: 2/22/2020 <3  Baby girl born 2/27/2020
7/18/2019: Total Motile Count at 3 months post surgery = 51 millions!! (number must be >20 millions to conceive naturally).

    TTC #2
    9/07/2021: BFP - CP: 9/10/2021
    10/07/2021: BFP - CP: 10/23/2021
    12/23/2021: BFP! EDD: 08/31/2022

  • @stephanie123456 oh man, that sounds rough! I hope the next few days are better for you. Good work on HIO everyday! The thermometer I have now is a cheapie from Walmart - it cost $2 but it seems to work well! It's nothing fancy but I had the Target one before and then I found out through this board that they're notorious for repeat temps. I found that to be true.
  • @cpiper39 I get those dreams, too.  They are so vivid!
@daisy0322 sorry you couldn't get a good night's sleep. Hopefully you'll be able to get a good night's sleep tonight.
@jennifer_louise zen is not my strength, but I will send you the vibes I have!
@inthewoods23 good luck today! Thinking of you in a totally non-creepy internet stranger way.
    @elle-0409 congratulations to your H!
@riff323 glad to see you over here! Who thought we'd be celebrating internet strangers' ovaries? Haha.
@rikiteacup fx that your timing worked out!  So frustrating when O happens before you think.
@misshelen86 I am in the same boat with very little EWCM, mostly watery.  Way to go on the timing, though!  Enjoy seeing your wedding pictures. :)
@stephanie123456 LOL at the gif. Glad you are feeling better.
@chichiphin woohoo for a longer LP!!  And I agree with the FRER pricing.  I have one in my closet that I bought in September but haven't used yet because I still have the cheapies.

    Month/Cycle: 5/5

    CD/DPO: 20/4

    Timing: -4, -2, O, +1, +2

    Typical LP length: 11-14 days.

Testing: Maybe toward the end of next week. Last time I was caught off guard by spotting at school.  It was really hard to go back and teach after that so I might test early just so I can process my feelings at home.

R/R: So glad to be sending out report cards tomorrow, but I am going to be holding my breath over the weekend waiting for emails from parents.  I send weekly progress reports, so there shouldn't  be any surprises but there's always that one parent who never checked and is wondering how their kid got the grade they did.
CS/Q: Still wondering about my chart. My thermal shift was much smaller this cycle, and my pre-O temps were much higher.  Trying not to read into it but I can't help myself.  The only thing similar is the 4DPO dip. I keep thinking my post-O temps should be higher and there shouldn't be more pre-O temps above the coverline than below.

  • @emeraldduchess thank you! Man, I can't imagine being a teacher right now. My best friend is getting her masters to be a teacher and I think you guys are so great for making that your career!
  • @stephanie123456 ugh so sorry about the bad series of events
@emeraldduchess hopefully you don’t get too many awful parents post-report card

  • So sorry @chichiphin , FX IUI is successful. Make some time for yourself these next few days.

@emeraldduchess Is that usual for you to not have EWCM? Your timing looks great too. So annoying re: the parents that don’t get why their kids got those grades. I’m sure it doesn’t make your job any easier having to deal with parent emails on top of everything else.

@stephanie123456 What a rough few days for you! Glad the pains have gone away. I hope everything gets sorted out with your payroll.
