Hi there! I just hit the 13 week mark today (EDD Jan 30th) and it’s very exciting and starting to feel real. I’m 32 and husband is 35 and this will be our first : ). We live in the DC area.
Hi, mama's! I'm 13 weeks along with my second child (I have a 2 year old DS), with a due date of 2/1. I will likely have another scheduled c-section in Jan, though. My husband and I are both 34, and I will be 35 when this one's born so I'm in the AMA camp. Fun fact- I gained 75 pounds with my first (partly due to major swelling and partly due to major ice cream). Trying to maybe not do that again, but also trying to get some ice cream over here now that the first trimester yuckies are starting to vanish. Looking forward to getting to know you!
Hey everyone, this is my first time posting and I’m super nervous to. I’ll be 16 weeks tomorrow and I’m only 16 years old. I’ve known since week 5. I haven’t seen any other teens on here. Not sure what to say or if it’s okay to post. Any advice?
Hi y’all! This is my 2nd pregnancy. My first is about to be 3 years old. I am 26 years old and after trying for over a year we are finally pregnant with #2. My first pregnancy I had gestational Thrombocytopenia (low platelets). We’re praying it’s not a problem this time around, but we won’t know until later in the pregnancy. Estimated due date is 1/25/19
@knottiebacdd56f1deaf3f1 Of course it's okay to post! I hope you'll keep doing so. Just have a look around the other threads if you'd like to get an idea of the kind of topics we post about. There's some really great discussions going on right now that are perfect for first-time moms. And of course, if you have a more personal question or a specific topic you'd like to ask about, feel free to start your own thread.
@lakemomma2015 I hope things are simpler for you this time around. When will you find out if it's a problem or not?
@katethemom thank you! last pregnancy they didn’t see the problem until the 3rd trimester. They could see the decline in cells but it wasn’t alarming until 3rd trimester. So I’m not honestly sure this time around. Doctor just said we’d keep a close eye on it.
Hi all, long time lurker. 2nd pregnancy hoping that this one results in my THB. Currently 16 weeks and just found out I’m having a baby girl. Looking forward to getting to know everybody. Due January 26th.
Hi all, my name is Miranda. I am 31 and dh is 33. We will be first time parents after TTC for 6 years and finding success after one fresh transfer on our first round of IVF. I am 16 weeks now, due date Jan 27. Baby is measuring a week ahead (no surprise, as I am 6'0 and dh is 6'5").
32 yrs old, DH is 38, we're currently expecting our fourth child. We have a 12 yr old daughter, 11 yr old son and 6 yr old daughter, little bean is another boy! I'm due 1/9/19 and and from Northern NJ. This is our 9th pregnancy, 1 MC, DD, DS, 2 MCs, DD#2, 2 MCs (in 2017 a few months apart, one @11 wks that almost killed me from hemorrhaging ☹, the next at 8wks) and now little bean who we are blessed that is growing perfectly. Finally decided to introduce myself here now that I'm almost half way through and almost completely rid of my anxiety that something will happen with this pregnancy. Having had multiple MCs in the past made me extremely reluctant to enjoy and celebrate this pregnancy in the beginning...
@quinfam6 Wow, you've been though a lot. I can understand why it would be hard to celebrate and join in. I've only experienced one loss myself, but it was difficult to let go and enjoy being pregnant at first, too. Glad you're joining us now!
Hi everyone, excited to join! I'm 22 and so is my boyfriend, and we live in Ohio. I'm currently about 19 weeks, due January 11th with b/g twins! I've had 2 previous MCs, so being blessed with two beautiful babies as a FTM is so exciting. My boyfriend has a son from a previous relationship, and he was so excited when we told him he'd be a big brother.
Hey!! I am 32 and husband is 43. We have been together 10 years, 6 of those years Married. We have 5 living children, one miscarriage and this little blessing makes #6. I'm hoping for Team Pink! We have 1 girl and 4 boys. Due date is 1/27/19 and its extra special and funny to me because on that day my twins turn 5!
Hey i didn't even know that the bump also had a January 2019 moms community , but im latisha im 21 weeks as of today I find out tomorrow if im having a boy or girl and im just so excited
Hey everyone! Super late to the party...but we’re expecting Baby Boy #2 on 1/15! We had a tough 2017 with two sweet angel babies, so we’re incredibly thankful to have made it to the halfway point with pregnancy #4!
@muggle_mama I Think we need a HP fanatic subgroup :P I know there are a few other superfans in this January board!
My wife and I have conceived a babe with my body and frozen donor sperm through IUI, with medication support (clomid, ovidrel, and injections of progesterone) IUI #1, #2, and #3: Dec 2017, Jan 2018, and Feb 2018 - all BFN HSG Test: April 2018 - all clear! IUI #4: April 15/16, 2018 - BFP!! EDD: Jan 7, 2019
Hi, I'm a first time mother. We are pregnant with a healthy baby boy! This is also our first pregnancy. We've been married for a little bit over 2 years now. All screenings and anatomy scans have returned with optimal results. I'm excited!
Hi! FTM, 20 weeks, been with the bf 8 years, and honestly a little confused about the nuances of the rules here, so if I mess it up (again?) Please forgive me! Getting the results of my anatomy scan Monday, but doing a gender reveal at the shower.
Hi. I’m technically due Feb 25th but will most likely deliver in January due to high risk pregnancy with twins. We have a beautiful 2.75 daughter. We lost a pregnancy last Febuary so we are both grateful and terrified for what we hope will be our rainbow babies.
Hello. I'm 27, this is my first child. And first time ever getting pregnant!! I had my BFP on Mother's Day, 05/13! And my EDD is January, 17th, 2019!! I hadn't even missed my period, or had any symptoms of signs of pregnancy other than vivid dreams. My sister has two children and she had told me years ago, and I had also heard years ago that you have vivid dreams when your pregnant. So I took a PT not thinking/feeling I was pregnant, & I remember thinking this is just a big waste of this PT lol. I'm not pregnant. And boom!! There it was. And on Mother's Day of all days to find out I was going to be a mommy! I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant and this whole pregnancy has been such a huge blessing, joy, & miracle in my life. This baby truly came from God's arms and into mine. I have been extremely lucky as far as symptoms go. . . . . No morning sickness what so ever, or really any symptoms besides major fatigue in the first trimester. My 2nd trimester has been great as well and just now, nearing the end of my 2nd trimester, I have been having mild cramping, backaches, headaches, and neckaches. Yesterday and today have been the worst of all days. I just feel physically drained and exhausted. And bed ridden these past 48 hours. Every time I try to sit up I have a mild sharp shooting pain up my lower spine. . . . . . Maybe I'm getting ill from the weather change?? Who knows but I hope I feel better soon! Sorry for this super long post lol.
Hi all!!! Super late to join this, but finally starting to get serious about baby coming so soon! I'm 28, FTM, been married just over a year. Baby boy is at 30 weeks, and our due date is Jan 3rd. Been getting more and more baby things recently, starting to get the nursery set up, and hubby and I have been realizing (maybe a little late) how much of a huge change this is going to be. We're a little nervous but really excited to meet the little one!!!
Hi all - also one of the late ones, after 2 MCs I didn't feel very connected to pregnancy talk/planning for a long time. Now due in 2 months (1/8) and adjusting to the idea that it's real - and like someone said above, feeling the need for more support! This will be the first for my husband and I, a girl.
I am coming in kind of late and just found this board. I am a 41 year old female. Been married for 24 years, I have 4 children ages 21, 17, 16, and 6. I am pregnant with number 5, yes it is my last. I am due January 3rd but I feel I maybe have baby earlier. Just wanted to day hi
Hello everyone! My baby is due on January 29th 2019! She's moving like crazy, mostly at night. Everything seems to be getting more real, my husband and I are super happy and excited 😊 We live in Miami, FL. Best of energies for all of us who are embarking in this new journey 🙌
Hey my name's Kelsey I'm 22 and my husband is 28. We've been married for a little over 3 1/2 years now and TTC for 2 1/2 it was difficult because I struggled with PCOS and I've been pre autoimmune for a long time. We wanted it to happen as naturally as possible. I tried metformin which was a joke and didn't last more than a few months, besides I'm not insulin resistant, I'm barely obese as far as the BMI chart goes my BMI was 30 TTC. We actually reached the goal of all natural conception before starting Ovasitol. We had just started seeing a fertility specialist in Chattanooga and I failed my first progesterone test then went back a few days later the Doc wanted to see if I ovulate later than "normal" I was sure that it would be another negative but it was barely positive. It was strange for something to be positive I thought well it's prob not enough to of made me ovulate. I honestly didn't give it much thought until the Doctor told me to test the first day of my missed period. I was like what? Me? You think I could be what? Nah! Pffft! She was like I'm giving you until Sunday to test. So I was 5 days late and cramping miserably my back was killing me! I was sure that it was just the normal cycle for me I'm always late there is no way it's this month! I'll start my period. I can't tell you how many negatives I've gotten. I was always like 5-7 days late if I even got my period. So it was now Sunday ( Mothers day 2018) the last day to test and the hubbs and I were getting ready for work as usual and I had bought two clear blue digitals to test with. But I didn't want to test, I didn't want another negative PT. So I told my husband it was his turn to read the test. Right before I finished my coffee he treked to the bathroom and stayed in there for a while. All I could think was he surely knows it's negative but doesn't want to break my heart. Finally he comes into the kitchen has the test in his hand scratches his head and says babe I don't know what this means. Keep in mind my husband doesn't have on his glasses and is blind in one eye. He says where are the lines? I said there shouldn't be any, here let me see. He hands it to me and it says "Pregnant" i put it in the light and had to convince him it was positive. And then he was like you have to take the other one in the morning just in case. Lol he didn't belive it either! We had gotten our first BFP but we're in complete denial. Two weeks later we heard the heart beat for the first time. We were finally pregnant. I'm in my 8th month now due on the 20th of Jannuary baby's head is measuring in the 59th percentile and the abdomen and femur are measuring short in the 16th percentile oddly. It's only a weeks difference in growth and he seems pretty healthy so I'm not complaining. We have a midwife now and she operates just like a normal Doc with ultrasounds and bloodwork ect. I'll be delivering naturally and unmediated in a birthing hospital. My husband and I have been practicing hypno birthing and robozo birthing positions ect. I'm 32 weeks now and I'm just mentally preparing myself. Last time at our 30 week scan the baby was frank breech the safest breech possible with similar outcomes as head down so preparing just in case he stays that way for a natural breech birth unmediated of course. My husband is a former EMT and has delivered 4 babies by himself so he will know when I'm 5 cm dialated so we can head to the hospital. It usually takes longer with breech babys for there to be any progression. Regardless I'm so happy to meet my little boy! Thank you for reading and best of luck! Sending good vibes and Mommy dust your way.
Hello everyone! I'm new here but I'm 32 exactly weeks today. My name is Rebecca, I'm 27 and this will be my first child. My husband and I have opted not to find out the gender until birth, but we have a feeling we're having a girl(didn't see any obvious male genitalia at our last scan) and at this point we've had zero major or minor complications-we've been incredibly lucky so far!
Hello all! I was in the April 2016 board with my first born and was lucky enough to be with a group of ladies who are still together (off the bump) and have given me a strong mamma tribe to be a part of in raising my DS. The friendships we formed were invaluable so I'm excited to come back to The Bump for this latest pregnancy. We're expecting a girl on 1/17. Thankfully pregnancy has been smooth so far and now that I'm 35 weeks I'm on high alert for all things that are signs of impending labor. With my first, I didn't realize I was in active labor until my OBGYN measured me the day before. Once my water broke though, back labor reared it's ugly head, and my son made his arrival 4 hours later. Hoping this labor gives me a little more time since the hospital is further away, and now I have to worry about my parents getting here to watch my son too.
Hi All- long time lurker first time bumper. I’m 33 and DH is 34. We’re first timers. Married for 11 years now. I have GD and this pregnancy has made my lymphedema (chronic swelling in my feet to calves) so much worse. I’m just shy of 35 weeks now.
Hi everyone my name is Syndy. I’m 18 years old. Yes I know I’m young. I’m 34 weeks exact today. I’m suppose to give birth on January 29th. I’ve been feeling mild Braxton contractions. I went to the hospital two times, they said no sign of early labor so far. I’m just ready to see him. His name will be Jaiden. I’ve been with my boyfriend for two years. He’s very excited for him to be here soon. My family supports me greatly and can’t wait to meet the new member of the family.
Hi ladies. I’m a regular on the May board (due 5/10 with baby #4). I thought I should intro here though, because I’m also a foster parent and last Sunday I picked up a newborn from the NICU. She is 12 days old and a sweetheart. May is my home, but I may pop in here from time to time. (On a side note, being pregnant and taking care of a newborn is no joke! I’m so tired!) Congratulations to all of you on your little ones!
Re: Introduce Yourself Here!
@lakemomma2015 I hope things are simpler for you this time around. When will you find out if it's a problem or not?
